I am a dental hygienist and my partner of 26 years was a dentist. It’s actually a good thing that they fit in there so snugly. And yes, even more so because of the time in between visits. As your dentist said, teeth are always moving, especially if there are spaces/missing teeth. Your teeth will adjust to the pressure. Sometimes, if they are not tight enough, you will have issues with them flopping around and not seating properly, needing adhesive, etc. That’s even worse. You will definitely have a lisp for a little bit and some extra salvation but again, your teeth and mouth will adjust to all of that. I’m glad you got them! Be well and have a great night. ❤️
You sound fine! I can’t tell the difference. Glad you can begin to eat normally again! I appreciate how you take your personal experience and turn it into useful lessons and advice for others. I am sure you have saved (and are saving) so many people from so much misery, as they absorb your advice. I hope your friend’s endoscopy and colonoscopy results are as good as possible and that he is able to quit booze and begin to repair his health. Again, glad you finally got your partials! I hope they begin to feel comfortable soon and you begin to adjust to talking and eating with them in. 😊🌺❤️
Thank you so much Kathryn!!!😉❤❤❤❤❤ there is always something that can be turned into a lesson with my health. I glad that I can take a negative situation and turn it into something positive!!!! Thank you again for everything!!! God bless ❤❤❤❤❤
I had some similar experiences with pressure and a period of adjustment to the new feel when talking after i had a significant multi-crown job done. It will pass after time. And it's easy to get self-conscious and think other people notice tiny little changes in the meantime. They usually don't. Thanks for giving us an update on that and your friend. Hopefully things get better for him soon.
I really couldn’t tell you were speaking differently. But I know whenever I had braces or a retainer I felt like it was really obvious. Thanks again for posting! ❤
Hey LD, I went through the partials as well. You sound the same. You'll get used to them. I hate that I had to do it also, but what can you do, right. It's basically a foreign object in your mouth, so it's gonna take some time. I haven't commented in a bit,but I wanted to force myself. Been isolating, and I dont want to go deeper into myself. Im always listening ♥️
Read your comment and just felt a need to reply. For me, that isolation is the relapse before the relapse. My sobriety (101 days now) is more than just not using. When I notice myself pulling away, that's when I need to reach out. Usually to another addict or alcoholic. Someone who understands. I also try to stay in the moment. Not dwell on my past. Not worry or dream about the future. I also try not to have any expectations about what may or may not happen. I just do the next right thing to the best of my ability.
@garebear246 Yup, I agree. Those are very pertinent things. I'm sober 3 yrs and deal with depression, anxiety, agoraphobia because of my physical state. I'm having back surgery soon, so hopefully, things will improve for me. Best to you
your so right about doctors. Just now i got really lucky and saw an amazing doctor who pointed something out that 2 doctors before overlooked, its not a serious issue to do with alcohol, but it probably contributed, just bad gastroenterology issues, but nearly sorted
Hi LD 👋 i just wanted to send you a message to tell you how grateful i am for you and this channel that you have created. 'Thank you' 😊 Almost 5 weeks ago i started watching your videos and since that very first video i have been sober from alcohol. You have been a HUGE part of my sobriety journey, and without you i would still be in active alcohol addiction. I look forward to my morning coffee with you now (Im im the UK 😊) its like sitting down to chat with a good friend. You have such a wonderful soul. I wish nothing but great things for you LD and your family. You truly deserve the best. Lots of love ❤️
He has changed my life too. I love LD so much, I will be forever grateful . I thought I would never be able to stop, but he is the only one that could made the miracle
When my dad got his temps like yours, he hated them. But then he got the real ones and they fit 100% better and he wears them all the time and loves them. I know you'll experience the same thing. Love you LD!
Thumbs Up 👍 and shared out.❤ I hope you adjust to your new partial Soon!🙏 Praying for you and your friend.🙏 Take good care and stay warm up there. It’s starting to get chilly at night. Nice Hoodie Weather! Thank goodness that heat wave is history. Stay Strong.♥️
You sound good LD, but I hear you about having partials, I have family members who went through the same situation as you. Sending healing vibes your way and to your buddy as well.........thank you for taking the time to do this video for all of us, much appreciated 🙏🙏🙏
Hey man, haven’t even watched the whole video yet but I wanted to ask you something. Is there something we can call you other than “Liver Disease” or “LD” like a lot of people do? I know you don’t want us to know your name, but I don’t like referring to you as liver disease. I talk about your videos with my wife pretty much daily and I struggle to refer to you as anything because “Liver Disease” feels scary and negative to say, and you and your channel are the opposite of that for me. You’re a good man making a huge impact on a lot of people, myself included. I can only speak for myself, but I would love to be able to refer to you as something that’s more true to YOU rather than your alcohol and health issues. Maybe just an initial or a nickname?
I like the name LD! You know you're a friend/fan when you refer to him as LD 😀 I think the subscribers started calling him LD anyway. Calling him LD is like a little bonding mechanism between the community ❤️
@@05BabyReg I agree! I wouldn’t be surprised if LD himself likes the nickname “LD.” I myself have had two nicknames in my life (created/conferred on me by friends) that I really warmed up to. It turns out that I felt really close to people who used those nicknames with me. It was like a sign of special affection that they thought of and used a nickname for me. Plus, for the time being, you feel like a “new” person when you’re not using your normal name.
You don't sound like you have a lisp! I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't mentioned it. I'm so happy for you that you'll be able to eat more of a variety of foods!! I know you've said that your diet has to be pretty strict already, so I'm excited for you that you have a broader range of ingredients to work with!! Between all the dishes you've talked about creating and all the dishes I've seen you cook, I know that your menu is about to become awesome. I'm a foodie, so this would be big for me. Haha I'm continuing to send prayers to your friend, and I hope that as you get used to the partials, the headaches go away! If they need to be adjusted, then so be it! Feel better, my friend! 😊❤😊❤😊❤
My dad has had his partials and now his permanent ones, and it definitely takes time ajusting to them. My dad still talks weird even after a few months now
I hope everything works out with the partials, LD! You don’t sound that bad, I can at least understand you, lol. Prayers to your friend who is still struggling! 🙏 All I know is that if he’s already having GI bleeding, the alcohol is only going to make things much worse! Take care my friend and see you live tomorrow! Hopefully the trolls won’t be too crazy! ❤❤
Don't just put up with pain or discomfort. If they hurt, remove them as the dentist will need to adjust them. They shouldn't be that uncomfortable (my sister was a dental nurse and I had those myself for a few days until I tool them out and lost them)
You sound fine. It’ll take time to adjust to the retainers. Coincidentally enough, I had to go to the dentist yesterday. Nothing major like you’ve been through, just one big cavity that they put a temporary filling in, and will do properly in a few weeks. I’ve neglected my teeth for decades like a lot of people with AUD do. My nutrition has been bad too, mainly due to pancreas issues. Alcohol certainly hits every part of us. As for ibuprofen, I’m a bit stuck between a rock and a hard place. Currently got a trapped nerve thing going on - running from my neck down my right arm, and into the hand. Strangely, oramorph, codeine and paracetamol don’t help, so I’m being frugal with ibuprofen (typically 2x200mg tablets a day max when needed), until my physio appointment. I hope you continue to adjust to the retainers; They certainly look fine, and the lisp and effect on speach seems to be very minimal. They should adjust if problems continue, but an amount of ‘bedding-in’ time is to be expected/normal. Take care. Adam
If the discomfort doesn't go away soon, you may need to have them adjusted. Glad they are following up next week! Don't put up with pain if you don't have to - you already have plenty of that without the teeth situation!
Chemo can mess your teeth up bad . Two years ago my wife ended up having to get what remaining teeth she had taken out and got upper and lower with implant rods.
OMG Are you telling me that I’m going to have some kind of withdrawals or pains when I quit taking ibuprofen? That’s very alarming…VERY!! I have to trash that or aspirin 3 or 4 times a week for arthritis! 😨I don’t want another chemical problem!!
Congrats on your partials! My full dentures were a total blessing, but if my teeth were in good enough shape to get partials, I probably would have tried them.
Hey LD, you’re doing better than I am with the partials, I cannot wear the tops, I gag and throw up. 🤢 did having your teeth pulled have anything to do with drinking. Oh, and LD? I am telling u the truth, you do NOT sound anything like a lisp. I think we think it’s really bad but it isn’t. At least you’re not throwing up, lol. It sucks, I’m going thru it too. Good luck, I HATE THIS!!!!!
Sorry they're so tight, not fun! Really can't hear a lisp at all! Thanks for update on your friend, continued prayers 🙏 Yes drinking is expensive in every which way possible!! And you’re so right how it progresses to extreme sorrow. You sound perfect with the partial! Oh sorry I can’t make your Live tomorrow! God bless!
LD thank you for all you keep doing for us God Bless !! Quick question, on one of your previous videos you mentioned your brother is a nurse/doctor? You think in the near future people like me on this channel could be educated on what numbers to look for when our blood work comes back? As far a the bilirubin / ALT / AST This are things I have no idea what they mean when getting my results back.

Hey!! Get this LD -my husband only needed his to chew- in fact he didn’t actually really need them badly but it was a good idea to wear them well guess what he left them out so long his teeth moved a lot and now they don’t fit anymore and they were so much money!!! Can u believe that??
Hi LD. I can’t hear any difference in your speech, but I’m sure it’s uncomfortable. I just hate going to the Dentist. I always get anxiety. And I’m going next week for cleaning and exam. Luckily my teeth are good. I take good care of them. I hope your mouth feels better soon. I’ll try to catch your live if I get a break bc I’ll be at work til 730 pm ! Have a good evening and stay sober everyone and God be with you ! 💚🤟✝️💪🏻☮️🌟⭐️🙏🏻
Congratulations on your new teeth,I remember when I had breast cancer the chemotherapy drugs wrecked my teeth and gums I ended up having my top teeth removed and false teeth in but at the time my bottom gum had started shrinking so by the time the dentist wanted to do my bottom gum for false teeth there wasn’t enough gum left to do false teeth on,so I’ve a very tiny bottom gum none of own teeth are still there so I’m Gubby on the bottom,as chemotherapy drugs are poison to get rid of any cancer that had escaped from the place the cancer had started from, your body is never the same when you,ve had like 3-6 months of chemotherapy drugs pumped into your immune system and all round your body and you just want to get home and sleep cause you felt that sick you couldn’t eat,I had pains everywhere to,,then at night time I had to wear a hat in bed because my hair had fallen out so my daughter shaved what was left of so your head gets cold first, then the restless legs started at bedtime,so hard to get sleeping going threw this, your mental health suffers a lot thinking am I going to get threw this or am I going to die,the doctor can’t say to you at the end of the chemo drugs that your body is clear of cancer, they just say your in remission, but since I had breast cancer I lost my mum to pancreatic cancer 10 years ago and my sister she had non Hodgkin lymphoma the year after I had the breast cancer she eventually went into remission her life was never the same,I lost her to pancreatic cancer 3 years ago when my daughter was pregnant and gave birth in august and my sister passed in April the same year, now my grandson is 3 years old non verbal autistic,I always say what have I done wrong to deserve all this heartache, especially when I look at my grandson it breaks my heart, especially the way people would talk about him like why is he still in a stroller and in nappy’s sucking pacifier why is he not talking,I’ll stop babbling on now, this is the only place I can come to,to get this of my chest, prayers 🙏🙏🙏for your Friend and your mother in law and you LD and your family,
I don't notice any difference! My biggest thing I blew money on was doordash and carryouts. I'd go a few days without eating then mindlessly order food. I spent close to $100-$150 when I did that. It can def be worse. My friend's dad got part of his tongue removed from cancer this year.
Hey G what a great video, especially talking about teeth! Like I said I'm 66 years old. From 1995 till 2009 I had a pain management doctor prescribing me oxycontin. The last 2 years I was on 80g 4 times a day. I know some people are going to think I'm lying but it is what it is. My doctor got busted. Cold turkey for always patients including me. My dad what's a district manager for rite aid all his life. The same pharmacy that filled my oxycontin every month save my life. Hook me up with a Suboxone doctor. 2 years on Suboxone I was off the opiates. Long story short I started drinking and this is something there is no pill for. And the hardest thing I ever tried to kick!. Sorry I'm rambling. A lot of anxiety tonight my daughter was in an accident I'm not having doobie. Everything will work out tomorrow. Love you and great video. Thank you for letting me share
Oh hate you I got sidetracked. My front teeth started turning brown. Had all four pulled, the song ventures right in there after they pulled them. I was bleeding over fake teeth all the way home. And nothing for pain. You got this G we are gangsters lol
I'm so sorry your daughter was in an accident. I hope she is okay. I hope you can manage your anxiety about the situation. I hope tomorrow is a brighter day! Best to you! 🙏😊❤
Hey Kathryn thanks for the reply. My daughter lives in Philly and drives here. It's a total nightmare. Yes her and the baby and her husband are fine. Car will be in the shop for a couple days. She needs two total doors. I want to see my grandson until Monday or Tuesday. Just feeling sad I miss him already. Thanks for the reply love you@@kathrynminnick8986
Glad you got it done. When I was a kid when they tightened my braces it really hurt. My bottom teeth shifted just a bit from an impacted wisdom tooth. I wonder why your friend's doctor did not prescribe him Librium or Valium and instead told him to keep drinking - unless they were afraid medication would upset his liver. But still, keep drinking? Tapering from alcohol is hard because it has hardly any half life and it's too easy to get drunk. I am no doctor, and this isn't medical advice, but I am surprised they didn't give him a long-acting benzo or detox him in the hospital.
Chef I hope that you can adjust to your partials soon .. hope they are not to painful 😣 Best wishes for you in speedy recovery ❤️🩹 mouth pain is the worse.. I hate the dentist.. but it is a necessary thing for us all for healthy teeth and overall health. I wore Braces as a kid 12-14 years old. It really is uncomfortable.. but I was so grateful that I was young..
No lisp! Your mouth probably feels different/sore/numb from today's dental work, so it just feels like you're lisping. I'm so happy that you're able to have dentistry done. Let us know when you can get back to chewing on pizza & bagels!!! 😁😁😁🦷🦷🦷🍕🍕🍕🥯🥯🥯 P.S. Get some sleep...going to the dentist is exhausting!
Can’t even tell they’re in - you sound fine!
Thank you my friend! God bless😊😊😊
Sounds just like my friend LD 😊
Thank you Kristen!!!! I was worried about the lisp! Hope you had a great day! God bless ❤❤❤❤
@ never heard it 🫶🏻🫶🏻♥️♥️
Best of luck with your partials. I hope you get used to them..

Congratulations on your new teeth,I remember when I had breast cancer the chemotherapy drugs wrecked my teeth and gums I ended up having my top teeth removed and false teeth in but at the time my bottom gum had started shrinking so by the time the dentist wanted to do my bottom gum for false teeth there wasn’t enough gum left to do false teeth on,so I’ve a very tiny bottom gum none of own teeth are still there so I’m Gubby on the bottom,as chemotherapy drugs are poison to get rid of any cancer that had escaped from the place the cancer had started from, your body is never the same when you,ve had like 3-6 months of chemotherapy drugs pumped into your immune system and all round your body and you just want to get home and sleep cause you felt that sick you couldn’t eat,I had pains everywhere to,,then at night time I had to wear a hat in bed because my hair had fallen out so my daughter shaved what was left of so your head gets cold first, then the restless legs started at bedtime,so hard to get sleeping going threw this, your mental health suffers a lot thinking am I going to get threw this or am I going to die,the doctor can’t say to you at the end of the chemo drugs that your body is clear of cancer, they just say your in remission, but since I had breast cancer I lost my mum to pancreatic cancer 10 years ago and my sister she had non Hodgkin lymphoma the year after I had the breast cancer she eventually went into remission her life was never the same,I lost her to pancreatic cancer 3 years ago when my daughter was pregnant and gave birth in august and my sister passed in April the same year, now my grandson is 3 years old non verbal autistic,I always say what have I done wrong to deserve all this heartache, especially when I look at my grandson it breaks my heart, especially the way people would talk about him like why is he still in a stroller and in nappy’s sucking pacifier why is he not talking,I’ll stop babbling on now, this is the only place I can come to,to get this of my chest, prayers 🙏🙏🙏for your Friend and your mother in law and you LD and your family,
I'm sorry for all your suffering, both physical and mental. You've had a difficult life. I hope things are looking up for you! 😊
Hate that I got sidetracked
Hurts my teeth hearing about it. I hope they settle in soon. I had braces as a kid and I know that kind of pain. No fun.
🎉 I have 1 day sober
Great!! Keep it up!!!!! 👏🎉😊
Just think of all the delicious food you will be able to chew on mate.....Big fat juicy steak.Love from Liverpool x
You can still say "Um" just fine 😂 Just teasing a little
I can only hear a SLIGHT lisp on "s" sounds
And "th" listening more
Chef I hope that you can adjust to your partials soon .. hope they are not to painful 😣 Best wishes for you in speedy recovery ❤️🩹 mouth pain is the worse..
P.S. Get some sleep...going to the dentist is exhausting!
16:55 why were there trolls 🧌 in the livestream? What were they saying?
What they were saying doesn’t bear repeating but it was vile.
