"...sometimes we are afraid to speak because we are tribal and our views do not align with those of the tribe..." Yes, truth well intentioned. Thank you my hero, my sister.
There is the writing of this speech, then, there is the delivery. She does both so perfectly.
Never thought about it like that before, even though I listen to her almost every speech. Thank you
What a woman!

Please does anyone knows the name of the short story she was referring to here?
@connecting123 alright thanks
I've actually read "The thing around your neck" but haven't heard of "the shivering".
I'll check it up now.
Any ideas where I could easily find it?
@@nmeysormah5161 There is a collection of short stories that is entitled THE THING AROUND YOUR NECK; the short story be the same name is included in this collection. "The Shivering" is another short story in that collection. The book may be at your library, but you can always purchase it at Amazon.

For as much as I enjoy reading and listening to Miss Adichie, her staunch insistence on promoting homosexuality in Nigeria and Africa as a whole is where I bifurcate from her ideas.
Homosexuality is an anomaly any attempt to showcase it away from that is a propaganda.
She is free to express her views. Don't forget she is a feminist and advocates for LGBTQ rights.
She actually doesn't it promote it. She condemns criminalizing it, which is different. It doesn't have to be legally recognized but punishing it is ridiculous.
It's like sending u to jail for watching porn. It's amoral but a government shouldn't police adult morality.
Brain drained neo colonialists send zombies instead of their own..

Make them speak grade 1 English
Then send them back to confuse and disintegrate us
@@teethart9865vt should police it, especially in Africa. But not criminalize or Brutalise it.
People can over do things when they are not check-mated.
