We are a homeschooling family of 4 living in the UK. We try to live a very frugal lifestyle and on this channel I show you how we manage to live off less.

I agree with everything you said 10000% People does not know what it mean to be really content when they always chase after the next big or new trendy thing. My friends and family do not understand when I say it is the small little things that make me happy, like staying at home with my dogs and pottering about. I can truelly say that I can't think that I have ever felt lonely or deprived. I guess I am just truelly lucky or blessed.

I love Emmy and Paul. I relate to them so much we are early British retires . Being frugal all my life has given us freedom and we do things people only dream of now. You are not boring Amelia you are so incitefful for one so young. I wish everyone thought like you. You are far from boring and everything comes to those who wait.

Not some one i know so great to watch a new channel .what an interesting vlog to watch.
Me and my husband have 3 kids under 6. He has an ok job (mine is rubbish and will hopefully be leaving in 6 months). We dont live as frugal as you but definitely have a more frugal lifestyle that many. We could push to have a bigger house/car/ our house is clean but basic were good with all these things. But i definitely have people around me that dont get us.
Im loving ur channel so refreshing to watch, and defo learning a lot that weve never thought of.

Hello Amelia. I enjoy watching your videos and I am always amazed that you are so young. If anything, you and your husband have your heads screwed on properly and you have the best things that money cannot buy: the realisation that contentment (which is happiness in disguise) comes from appreciating the small things in life, and a life partner who shares your goals and vision.
Those people who say that frugal living is boring are the same ones who will lament being stuck with a mortgage and heavy bills when they get to retiral age.
Keep going, and I wish your, your husband, and family all the best. You are an inspiration.

I live frugally, travel, and have paid for 6 kids to graduate college. It is totally doable!
Hey, Thanks for your video and for having such an open mind about things. I guess peer pressure is a real thing at any stage, but in reality, what feels okay, or gets an positive emotional response varies, and there isnt really a wrong or right - just an issue that we live in a world which caters to the majority. So like, buying a meal deal, or takeaway pizza is going to feel great for one family, but another might be just equally happy to buy the raw ingredients and use the saving to buy a family jigsaw or xbox game - probably both families get that happy weekend, but the one ordering the pizza looks like there are doing the best, because the majority is aiming to get into the "can afford dominos" category. The other family is there too, just making different choices. I just dont like that people are judging that you are boring, that not true. People having Easter days out are probably having equally wonderful and disasterous times, but everyone should be aiming to have the capacity to put things right for themselves and their family so that the most people are happy most of the time. I got persuaded into a 18-30s holiday once and I was just sat reading my books as I literally did not have it in me to down beer and run circles round a pole, and my friends thought I was nuts!! I appreciate that they accepted that what I preferred though, and eventually watching them became entertaining. Anyway, future video. Do 3 things that made me smile for free? But you should focus on the mindset stuff because thats where people can make a change. X

I too love Emmy and Paul. Being frugal means that you can then spend your money on things that you really enjoy - for me it is my love of knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving etc. We don't go on expensive holidays - there are so many beautiful places here in the UK that we can visit, nor do we feel we have to have the latest technology. I agree with you 100% - find enjoyment in the smaller things in life and you will be far more content than those who forever try to compete with their peers.

It is so refreshing to listen to you my husband and I live a very happy boring life do ing all the things we love to do as you say not everyone likes the same thing nice to be able to be you not what people think you should be doing at your age save for your future and if you’re be able to help your kids in the future and show them my example how getting your money to work for your future and then we’ll done ps,I love Emmie and Paul and her old china xx Bx
