    My mom had 50 Chevy, I learned to drive on it. Everyone should learn with 3 on tree, starter button on the floor. Love the rebuild, would like find one and do the same thing. The only thing I don’t dig is the Rat Rod Patina look. That old girl deserves her dents fixed and a decent paint job. I’m not talking Chip Foose. The original color would be cool.

    Sad that you didn't restore this nice Chebbie car. Now it's just another cut-up vintage car on it's way to the scrapper.

      With so many shells and and kits out there WHY do these damned people have to take a complete, restorable classic and turn it into a turd on wheels?

    • @randycarman897
      @randycarman897 4 месяца назад

      Apparently, you have never driven one of these old turds, they steer bad, brakes are almost non existent, and they don't have enough power to drive on today's highways.

    Mechanical and suspension work are great...just wished people would get into paint and bodywork before saying "restored". I'm a retired professional, and been doing this since 1963....just can't get used to the clear over rust look. But what was done, was done well.

    • @GarageAuto
      @GarageAuto  3 года назад +1

      it is also to show how the machnik is great although the body is in the initial stand! that is more important. but of course the paint also will done in the next step =)

      @@GarageAuto I'm so sorry! At 75 years of age you would think I have learned to not speak so soon! Apparently I now have to live a bit longer to master that as well.....

    I like the body style of the 1950. I like the direction you are going with the build. You said paint and body are down the road, cool. I vote for the original paint color and maybe a back seat so it can be a road trip car too.

    • @GarageAuto
      @GarageAuto  3 года назад

      yes the original paint color is a good idea

    Good work, but I think stock looking steelies with stock hubcaps and old school headlights would look better for a derelict. Icon Motors are a master of derelicts.

    This was NOT, repeat NOT, a restoration. I had one of these back in high school and seeing this makes me want to puke! This is nothing but a Mexicanized restorod, NOT a restoration!
