it's great work on the foot 👍but I hate when I see again and again when there are no original wheels on it, it doesn't fit the style with chrome rims and other nonsense 🤔
I grew up in the 50’s, and the 60’s as well. The cars of that era had style and class, designed by American engineers & designers. They were unique. Now days ya can’t tell a Cadillac from a Kia.
I would’ve like to see it restored to it’s original spec’s and leave it as it came out of the factory. However I understand everyone has their own tastes. It’s a wonderful job 😅
Thank You for showing this amazing rebuild. This was my first car in 1968, also here in Norway a lot of us wanted a car like this when the driving license was in the box. Cars these days have no personality, and no motor either, but a battery pack. Nothing special for a car enthusiast.👍With my best regards from Lillehammer, Norway the winter olympic city 1994.😊
I'm glad you are saving the old cars all the hard work will pay off you are doing great workmanship on these cars they look great something to be proud of👍👍👍👍👍👍

Disappeared 5 years later found it in ky , guy bought it for parts , wasn’t letting it go. Keep looking.
Whoa! This was in very good shape to begin with. Must have only been used on Sundays to go to church... Great restoration! I like the upgrades too! My uncle had one of these...
I have been watching this channel for quite some time now .and it doesn't matter what kind of car it is our truck. The work is always superior quality. So on average from taking a vehicle in so handing the keys back to the owner what is the average amount of time it takes to do a vehicle God bless
Very nice guys, although I would have retained the stock wheels with original hubcaps and beauty rings to preserve the stock look and make it a real sleeper.
First car we had that I remember was a 54 Chevy Bel Air almost the same green with ivory top. Well done! To this day, green cars get love from me. Uncle had a 57 Olds with the J2 option- 3 deuces!
Another outstanding rebuild! Very well done! There are automotive rebuild/restore RUclips channels out there with millions of subscribers who don't have a 1/10th the talent you and your crew have! Considering the level of work you do you should have a lot more subscribers than you do! I had a 53 Customline the same color! It had the last year of the flathead V8. I kept the engine for a 34 Ford build and a friend has the car. He is doing a modern V8 like you did on this car. Anyhow great channel I do enjoy seeing the work you do!
Gorgeous restoration, excellent video and, of course, a remarkable automobile. We had a '54 Ford Customline V8 2-door as well, in the family, that my Mom drove from 1954 to 1964. Fond memories indeed. Thank you for sharing this video!!
In 1964, I bought a used 54 with a 239 for $40 and dropped in a 292 as the 239 had a burnt valve and I already had the 292. I was in HS and money was short, but I got a Holly 4bbl and Hurst shifter. In those days it was common to primmer them gray and call it good; no one could really afford a paint job. I cut the steering wheel in half for a better bed as I was often homeless. that will always be my favorite car and I even owned a new 69 SS396 Chevelle.

I had a 53cuztomline in highschool. Bought it for 100 bucks and the engine was in pieces and the crank was shot. Took the crank out of a straight six mustang had it turned down and dad and I put the engine together and dad drove it 450 milesgo Seattle and broke it in. Ran real smooth and fast. I then converted it to 12v and it started a lot better. Moved away and dad sold it to a neighbor.i miss that car. I hope to find another one.
@@michaelbenardo5695 the engine in the 53 was a 215 ohv straight-six. the crank out of the mustang was out of a straight-six we had it turned down. i guess it was a stroker engine after that.
The video started with and through most of the video as a coupe but finished as a 2-door sedan, two completely different bodies? That was quite a transformation! However two completely different cars were in the video presented as just one.
I spotted that too...I had 54 2DR post sedan back in the day it was an obvious change of cars. I was following along and they rebuilt the stock brakes in place, which I have done hundreds of, and then showed disk brakes later on.

this is an older video ..i seen it somewhere else...why do they show it with drum brakes..then disc ?..then back to drums ??...glad to see it wasnt all junked up with a chevy motor..i like the car,,but yuk on the wheels
Had a '54 Customline Club Coupe (I preferred the long deck on the rear) turquoise w/ white roof, 239 Y-8, Fordomatic, PS, radio, heater, full wheelcovers, wide whitewalls (had it in 1963-1965), added duals, interior was exactly same as original on this, except looked new,, tinted glass, clock that still worked (not often correct) , had factory optional fender skirts (took them off) always liked the look without. Was kept waxed, looked near new. at 16 got stopped by CHP after 5 mile run, throttle floored, down 7% grade, gave me a lecture, was doing over 130 mph, didn't ticket for speed (said no one would believe it) DID equipment violation, for 4 bald tires, told me think hard about that and thank the Lord. I did, always had speed rated tires after that.
I hate it when a car is found like this one, just needs some paint, maybe some upholstery repair and just an engine and transmission overhaul to be a great looking original car. What I don't like is some garage deciding to do a complete custom job on it, changing everything including drivertrain just everything making it into a modern hot rod.
Harder to fix one thats clean like that rather than long boarding the whole car and getting the riffles out in some real hard spots. I love that year car as it was so clean and pure... It did lend itself to the track a whole lot. Shouldn't never need someone to go down and apologize for being so slow.
A very old woman who lived down the street from us, had a car just like this when I was a kid. Her husband had bought it for her brand new, and she'd only driven it to shop and to church. She died in the early 1990s, when SHE was in her early 90s. I was about 12 at that time. One of the neighbors bought the car from her daughter, and the last time I was in the neighborhood, (around 2 years ago) the car was still sitting in his driveway. What does it all mean? Nothing. I hated that car. Too bad it wasn't a 1957 Fairlane. If it were, I'd have bought it a long time ago. : )

I like the wheels, but would put them on a different build. This car deserves to have the original wheels and caps with whitewall tyres. Other than that, great job!
Beautiful car, solid. I was a little confused when I saw the original engine components being painted (yellow parts), and refreshed clutch and brake pedals, but later see the car with a V8 and automatic. Also the hub caps being freshened up but not uised. I like the wheels it wound up with.
