I have seen many times. The reason of alturas g4 being rare is no publicity and very low videos on it and most important mahindra, a brand name for jeep like cars

I live at Mahindra City. Frankly I saw it only once.
Gloster killed it. I'm selling my fortuner and upgrading to MG this January. Its simply a class above. This car doesn't compete with this segment. THE TRUTH!

Why is everyone saying reliability = fortuner?.. a film director in kerala with 2 of his friends went all the way to london on a ford endeavour spanning more than 25000 kms... They did just 2 normal services on the way and on one of those services in kazhakhstan... The ford guys told it didnt need any service as everything was in good condition... Btw they didnt even had a puncture... They were so impressed by the car.
Reliability factor kicks in when a car completes around 2 lakhs kms. Most cars get old and unfit for long journeys by around 4 lakhs kms.. Toyotas run strong even after 10 lakhs kms!!
No puncture is due to tyre quality. Ford engines can be troubles sometimes - ecoboost engines.
They chose the endeavour automatic because of the price and they need a huge boot space by eliminating the 3rd row.

Because you get more reliabilty and easy maintenance in the fortuner than ford
Replace Endeavour's interior by Gloster's.
Just slap a Toyota badge in the Gloster it will sell like hot cakes.
That way you can also increase the cost by even 10 lakhs..
But u cannot take Gloster to off-road

It's crazy how fortuner being the smallest in these 4 yet it looks the biggest on road. Such a crazy presence it has.
I will definitely go with the MG Gloster. Considering the price bracket competitors have to work on interiors as well as features.
The choice should be easy, it's Ford Endeavour. But it'll be even easier if Ford updates the interior.

Tough choice in the segment today. Personally I feel if Ford updates the interiors, Endeavour makes the best choice here.

MG Gloster is really a tough competition for the other vehicle of this segment, Gloster brings some freshness in this segment with the more smart features, strong safety & build quality also its more stylish and premium as compared to the others.
Also gives indian customers that *extra* boasting points with awesome features that they brag about. I'm surprised how we were fooled by Ford & Toyota all these days and the Gloster is just beautiful

Pure BS - have you driven Endy ? It's laggy as hell in traffic. Extremely annoying. With new Fortuner right around the corner : with over 218bhp and 500+nm of torque - Fortuner will become king again - unless FORD brings in bi-turbo.

I own both endeavour 3.2L and fortuner 2.8L both of these are ❤️ but at present endeavour in its 2.0L engine is not that much impressive in my opinion and fortuner still has 2.8L engine which is a really good for this segment
Gloster has come to the battlefield with a lot of Homework. It will give a good fight. The Best rear seat is what United Indian families crave for. The pricing and the sheer presence is spot on. Wish the Gear response could have been sharper to have some fun out of driving.Lets keep an eye on the Market

We need such car for Bangalore roads !! But have one question how much feet of water can they drive ? Due Water logging
Depends on priority of customer. Most SUV buyers use these big SUV not for off roading but just for long travel.
So Gloster is the right winner in segment.
A very few want real off road tech and for them the Fortuner/Endeavour is the pick and among them it depends on availability of good services matters. Alturas is not for the the regular customer but for ones who prefer Mahindra.
Ford and Fortuner need to stay much stronger in segment.

Unfortunately SUVs these days are judged by feature list. Endy has downgraded its engine to 2.0 litre and with that I would say Fortuner is the only true blue SUV here.
Have to agree wt you. Didn't like fortuner but if I hv to buy a car that have to last around 7-8 years, I hv to take fortuner.

Simple - CRV, tiguan, Kodiaq do not come under this category. These are off road body on frame SUVs while those are soft roaders.
I would choose the Ford endeavour for its reliability over the years, long established brand value and definitely the features... Only concern is the Fuel efficiency of I am to...
And the second in list would be the Alturas G4, simply because of the feel good factor...

MG has got 2000 bookings in 3 weeks. That is no coincidence people love it's features and to those who say it's new, it isn't trust worthy, (yes, you crying Toyota fanboys) it's been on sale as Maxus/LDV D90 in Aus, NZ and UAE with actually very good response and happy customers without any headaches. Toyota is fading in recent years it isn't how it used to be...

Endeavour strikes a nice balance between fortuner and gloster in my opinion. the endy is technology laden but is reliable enough too. Not sure I could say the same about the reliability of Gloster.

Booking my Gloster Savvy this week.
Looking at the camera angles and how you're placed in the third seat, you seem quite packed in the fortuner's third row. It appeared as if the Gloster's was the best.
Fortuner is just a status symbol.. it's not an enthusiast's car... Anyone who has a lotttt of money and no love for driving pleasure or cars buys one. It's overpriced. What you are actually paying for is after sales service and warrenty in advance I would say.
MG has done a really really good job in terms of visuals and performance.
Ford, as always.. well built and reliable. Worth every penny.
Well, Alturas is home brewed. Really proud of Mahindra on getting this done. A good competition in the segment and worth it.
My overall ranking:
1: MG Gloster
2: Ford Endeavour
3: Mahindra Alturas G4
4: Toyota Fortuner (no choice)
