- The MG Gloster 2020 gets a proper ladder-frame chassis, a twin-turbo diesel developing 215bhp and 480Nm of torque and gets an 8-speed automatic as standard. We are testing the 4x4 version of the 2020 Gloster that gets a BorgWarner transfer case with low-ratio and 7 driving modes. In this test we are focusing on the MG Gloster off road ability taking the full-size SUV on serious off-road tracks at 19 Degree North, through streams, on dirt tracks and much more. Packing on-demand 4x4, BorgWarner transfer case and plenty of electronic aids (7 terrain modes) the MG Gloster has a serious amount of kit. So how good is it off road? That's what we are finding out in the first of our two part test.
Please do a comparison test off-road between ford endeavour, toyata fortuner and mg gloster
It is simply not worth it. Our company did buy Maxus D90 in dubai due to cheap price, but they all had breakdowns in a few months. The hilux / fortuners ran without a hiccup. Btw I'm not a fortuner fan, too expensive and bit less features but maybe that's the price for reliability

I could swear I saw an Alturas 70 percent of the time.. it looks damn similar.. however it looks corporate and really polished and business like.. and the farewell conclusive take with one wheel airborne was really smooth.. nice work Shirish bhai and team..

Talking about cars and bikes in details. I became fan of him till then now. I think it was may be in the year 2006 i guess. Even i saw your last episode in overdrive. Even I have one 💪🔥 in January it's going to complete 2 years and no problems at all. Best interiors in the segment, feature loaded,looks beautiful,is spacious and is nice to drive as well,ride quality is excellent and engine is super refined

Uh oh, you might have overlooked how these days cars are coming with, you know toyota is the largest manufacturer in the world, still it doesn’t have much of it’s line up, only a few and I mean a few are here rest are rebadged tin cars, toyota doesn’t offer connected car services, sunroof , and some of the things such as big touchscreen, automatic parking, wireless charger, and a host of others which even a 12 lakh car offers are missing, does toyota take india as a joke, it is because people here are less concerned, due to brands such as MG Hyundai Kia Honda and a lot others we saw a revolution, but why don’t toyota take us seriously, yes it is useless because we pay 40 lakhs and there are even basics missing, toyota offers a lot more in other countries but not in here, why, premium features and convenience is a long way , it’s great , but there specifications and price specifically here are poor, and I mean very poor, what’s the use of reliability when you don’t even have something like 360 parking which is on a 12 lakh car!
People like you blindly believe what you are made to, see the actual and realistic truth!

And some membership doesn't mean you are having the licence to criticise one car. And the sales figures is the people only look for reliability, and resale value. Not people bought a car for comfort, safe, luxury, power and a plush interior.
@@1andtheOnly ohh.. sorry.. not much knowledge in English. A car should be well maintained and should drive in a good manner, then any engine will last without breakdown or major repairs. I know a indica run 200000kms without any breakdowns or repairs, then only he changed the clutch plate and it's still running smoothly. I think after 1lakh kms he just replaced some parts in the engine(like every other car). So if you ridden insanely it won't last much longer no matter how reliable that engine is.
Another thing is, a car will be having maintenance cost. No vehicle is free of maintenance cost. Even a Toyota fortuner is having cost of maintaining.
Vehicles, gadgets etc are liabilities. No matter which one it is. It's not an investment. If you want to invest and get good resale value, you could have buy gold and invest in it.
Everything has it's own purposes.
And if you are telling that the fortuner is a great car looking at the sales figure, then do one thing. Compare Ertiga's sales with Innova Crysta. Is that also mean that Ertiga is better than innova?

I have a endeavour 3.2 and recently my brother bought a gloster but honestly gloster ne kuch jyada hi chamak damak our luxury feel dene ki koshish ki hai jo thodi si over lag rahi hai and material quality bhi endeavour jesi nahi hai overall solid and simply luxurious feel and power vali feel endeavour me beth ke jya da ati hai “ FROM MY POINT OF VIEW “

Been on the fence for a farm vehicle. This review does make a decent case for the Gloster. The only question would be the long term reliability.

Hello sir, what are the possibility of using Twin turbo in MG GLOSTER a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder engine, mostly it's used in V8 engines what is the reality? Is this twin turbo or two stage turbo then why you automobile journals not figure out this truth ??
The front facia could have been more aggresive considering the competition.. MG should have done a bit more market study as to what people look for in a SUV in the 30 L bracket. Interiors look fab though..
Bro, they haven't made for the upper middle classes. In the 30L budget, there are some people who are from the upper class, but need a budget suv. So, it is designed with class in mind.
Just 1 look at angle of departure / approach and .....
Looks promising. Even more than the Endeavour and Fortuner. If priced below 40 lakhs, MG India has struck gold again.

Ground clearance is soo low that it simply can't match with endeavour n fortuner on that aspect!
It got 210 mm ground clearance whereas fortuner and endeavour got 225 mm ground clearance. You are right

Dustwr AWD has 210mm and the old gen Thar had 200mm. Dont fall for the numbers.
It's a lader on frame SUV so hitting underbody won't be an issue because chassis is robust compare to monocoque chassis
