The aventador is purely emotion based. Not meant to be “just a car” or “better at being a car”... the screaming V12, the earth shaking downshits, the fighter jet look and more. Its the ultimate big boy toy. Every boys dream. I always say this “its not a car, its a Lamborghini.” If someone was a supercar thats just like a car, the Huracan is best at being a car.

Nice video. But the car is 100% worth $420,000!!! The shifts are part of the experience!! It's what driving a REAL ITALIAN SUPERCAR IS!! The sound is incredible. The looks are incredible. And it's cramped?! It's one of the biggest supercars out there!! Who cares about the stupid little things in the car that are not high quality or are not modern technology. IT'S AN ITALIAN BEAST THAT IS LOOKS, DRIVES, SOUNDS BRUTAL, AND IS FULL OF EXPERIENCE.

This car has soul, whenever you put your foot down, you hear the screaming V12, Whenever you try to misbehave, it warns you what it is, whenever you come out of it and look at it, you see it and smile... they dont make cars like this anymore... this is a dying breed.... this is the real supercar, the real weekend machine, the car that will boost your adrenaline, the car that will make you wake up at 5 on a Sunday and make you wanna drive it... the car that will make you want more!

I release the gas when I shift. I find it much better getting rid of how harsh it shifts. Leaving your foot planted and shifting feels like you are waiting forever for it to shift. Trust me you should try it.

I think it's worth even more but it highly depends on where you live since it's a show off car.
If you live in LA is definitely not worth since there are too many of them been driven there, but if there aren't many Lambos in your city it would be worth and you will be able feel special.
Disclaimer: If you're not a show off person or if you don't really enjoy the attention, this car will never be worth the money
Daniel Maia Agreed. I mean the car is generally pretty special anywhere but definitely has a bigger presence in some places than others. For example, I live in Toronto, where I've spotted plenty of Lamborghini Gallardos and Huracans but I've only seen the Aventador on the road three times (Pirelli Edition, SV and the roadster), and each time made my jaw drop more than when I saw the other models.
I don't know any where that a gt3 is 'low key'

In a modern world of cars using all the same parts this one seems to connect with its roots and stand out a little more like its predecessors form the 60s through the 80s like the Miura and Countach

If you're buying an Aventador, make sure you're worth $10M+ because this car people buy it in general for the status or to impress people. So if you're complaining about the prince, you don't deserve to own one.
If you want performance for the price, but a huracan or any McLaren.

I haven't had the chance to try an acr but I've driven a viper TA. I'm 6'1 and it was pretty tight in there. Joe is like 70 foot 3. He'll never fit.

Hey man, can you please do me a favor? When you make videos in 21:9 aspect ratio, can you render them @21:9? Some of us have ultrawide monitors and get black bars both vertically and horizontally as things stand rn. Great content, as per usual. Keep up the good work!

If you use chrome, you can get an extension that will crop the black bars for you! But it would be sweet if Joe would render it in 21:9 in the future regardless!

Here is to hoping that Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A are listening to the criticism of the Aventador and its terrible transmission from both the owners and the general fans. Perhaps the Aventador successor will finally have the Dual Clutch that it sorely needs. And also, if they could please make the car lighter. The LP700-4's kerb weight is too heavy for a "supercar". At 1,575 kg, the Aventador weighs the same as the Ferrari LaFerrari, a car that has a heavy electric motor and battery on board. Even the "lightweight" Aventador SV weighs 1,525kg! That's totally unacceptable.
The next model *must have* a Dual Clutch transmission and 4 Wheel Steering. It should also weigh under 1,400kg, while the next Superveloce weighs under 1,300kg. Lamborghini should learn from Pagani and Koenigsegg. They are both similarly sized to the Aventador, and yet they weigh hundreds of kilograms less than the Aventador. Surely if such small companies like Pagani and Koenigsegg can employ such impressive weight saving techniques, Lamborghini can do it too, especially since Lamborghini is owned by a multi billion dollar car company : The VW Group.

well our opinions really differ.. I really like the agressive shifting and cramped space it really gives you the sense of sitting in a spaceship.. and boi those backbreaking shifts are so fun not maybe for normal driving but still xD

Maybe they went for single clutch to simulate the feel of shifting as if it was a manual transmission, just like the SMG on the E46.
I can't believe there are people still complaining about if something like this is worth it. OFCOURSE NOT! But if you're WEALTHY, buying this is the equivalent of a NORMAL PERSON buying a premium PHONE CONTRACT..... They'll just upgrade it and sell it off at a loss....

The US has stricter emissions standards. You couldn’t find anything higher than 93 if you tried.

Great Review. I totally agree I wouldn't buy a aventador for that much. It's still a badass car none the less in a lot of ways. But if I did buy a car in that price range it would it would definitely be a Mclaren 675lt hands down.
