A Kirby air ride sequel would be nice. I mean they have the box model from Kirby fighters 2. So maybe Kirby air ride 2 soon? What would you like to see in this new game?
There is a big chance kumazaki may be planning it. Star allies had a 3d vehicle final boss phases, and the Kirby series is going into the new era. I wouldn't be surprised they would make air ride 2 to test the 3d engine for the new mainline game, or viceversa
I would love to see a new air ride game since the original was the only reason I wanted a Gamecube growing up. It's also more or less been proven to be possible to expand the game or at least City Trial from the Japanese online fan game Airride Modoki. Unfortunately, it hasn't been updated for a few years now but it's basically city trial with at least 1 new map and a ton of new machines and functionality for up to 16 players at once. I would love to see some of its concepts make it into a new official version of air ride
Oh gosh, Air Ride 2 has such ridiculous amounts of potential! I've spent way too much time thinking of what a sequel could bring. Apologies for the incoming wall of text! Obvious additions would be new courses and vehicles. A wheelie that glides instead of jumps would be cool! Perhaps it could have wings that fold in when it's on the ground. We could get courses based on established areas throughout the Kirby games. New abilities for Kirby would be cool too. I'd think that abilities like water or whip would be easy to implement. The ability for more players to play at once would be really cool. And of course online play for all modes! Imagine how awesome an online 8-player city trial session would be? A team mode would be nice too! Now that Kirby has a much fuller cast than it did back then, having all the dream friends from Star Allies be playable would be really cool! Each one could have different abilities/attacks as well as stats that each character is better or worse in. Also the characters would be able to drive any vehicle just like Kirby can, so Dedede wouldn't be confined to just that big wheelie he had in the original Air Ride. Not sure how winged characters like Meta Knight or Marx would work, perhaps you could have the option of either playing as a flying version of them that can't ride vehicles like how Meta Knight was in the original, or a more standard version that can't fly on their own but can ride vehicles? Of course the characters would have to be playable in City Trial. It's just a pipe dream but having costumes for each of the characters in addition to the alternate colors would be totally awesome! Green Magolor definitely has to be shopkeeper Magolor! New City Trial maps would be nice in addition to the OG map. A map that takes place in Access Ark would be cool! Or a map based on the Mirror World with areas based on each of the levels/worlds. Maybe Grip could be added as a stat to the vehicles? New events that happen and maybe even map-exclusive events would be nice as well! New stadium games would be great, maybe more of the ones that test the stats of the players' vehicles similar to air glider, drag race and high jump. I think there should be the option to play more than just 1 minigame at the end of each City Trial, since wandering around the city for up to 7 minutes to compete in a minigame that sometimes lasts only seconds feels like a bit of a waste. In addition to that, there should be the option to select which minigames can and can't happen at the end of City Trial, rather than having to choose between just one minigame or all of them. More boss battles could be interesting in a sequel. I always thought Miracle Matter could be turned into a cool boss for Airride, plus it would give HAL an excuse to make another remix of its theme, and it would be nice to have more minigames where the players all have to work together. I hope that made for a somewhat-interesting read! A while ago I was trying to make an airride sequel in Unity to incorporate my ideas into, but I lost the motivation for it unfortunately.
Also, Kirby and Pac-Man have huge amount of appetite. Difference? Kirby ate everyone and everything on his path, but Pac did the same, except he didn't hold anything into his mouth like Kirby.
Oh yes, Meta Knight and Dedede are the ultimate bros. Fighting together in sync as "sworn partners" and comforting each other by holding hands when they're defeated.
"Galacta Knight for the first time in ages" - we had him in return to dream land, robobot, and a new version in star allies called morpho knight. I don't think we're lacking
People never seem to recognize Akira Miyagawa's contribution to Kirby Air Ride's soundtrack. A significant number of tracks in that game are lifted directly from the Kirby anime's soundtrack, which he composed the music for.
kirby mass attack was my first kirby game, i had it on the ds when i was only 5. i’ve been obsessed with kirby for 9 almost 10 years now and i’ve forgotten quite a bit about mass attack since i only had it when i was younger. it was super nice to see the gameplay again
Sweet video! As a diehard Kirby Mass Attack, Pinball Land, and Rainbow Curse fan, I love most of these spin-offs with all my heart. It's a great cycle to have, getting an experimental, creative game shortly after a traditional adventure, especially since it gives us opportunities to compare and contrast the directing styles of the developers. You picked a fitting time to upload this, too, since Epic Yarn turns 10 years old on October 17. Long live these wild experiences! Sidenote: I'm the admin on Kirby Wiki who uploaded the Board Game images and color-corrected the Necrodeus image used in this video.
Kirby Air Ride was a game I used to play a lot on my gamecube. City Trial was my favourite thing, I had Dragoon and Hydra. When I couldn’t use Dragoon I’d use the blue bird one, flight is something I love in general. I was working to get all the achievements. If I find my disc and gamecube I might go back and play it again.
My mom sold my gamecube, n64, and my entire childhood collection of games about 7 years ago. I've since grown up, moved out, and bought another gamecube and many of my old favorites! Nothing like splitscreen air ride or some mario party!
Man theres just so many spin off games. I love the creativity and experiments they did for them! Also wow this is your longest video yet, great job! I could tell a lot of work and research was put into this.
My favorite kirby spin off game is probably Kirby clash deluxe and epic yarn Epic yarn because I love the narration and 2 because the games aesthetics are amazing. I've always been a fan of the arts and crafts type of games for that reason.
Mass Attack was my very first Kirby game. I remember getting it for my Birthday in 2011, and I would take it everywhere, even many of my drawings were based on the game and characters. I would even listen to the music player when my parents would drive me places! The place that I took the game to the most was an indoor waterpark hotel near where I lived. We usually went there for my birthday and we would stay over in the hotel. While in the hotel room, I'd play the game to death, at first it was hard for me, but I immediately learned how to play it. Every year from there, I'd continue to take the game with me whenever we would stay overnight at that waterpark. And my close friend was fascinated by the game and how well I can play it, I remember sitting on the hotel room bed listening to the music player with her. It took me about a few years later to figure out how to get to the final boss, I remember trying to beat it on a car ride to my mom's friends house. It took me several tries, but I finally beat the game! I actually cried cause of how happy and sad I was that the game ended. Now, that waterpark hotel is gone and some new store took it's place, luckily, Mass Attack always brings back memories of that place whenever I hear the music from it. I still play Mass Attack to get these happy memories back, such a great game.
Thank you RUclips recommendations, you’ve unlocked memories of me playing mass attack’s mini games, literally all of the games you covered during the mass attack mini game portion I absolutely remember playing. Nearly forgot about the timing based RPG game, nearly mixed up the super star ultra mini games with the pinball mini game, and absolutely adored that Kirby adventure style mini game that I’m sure I played while on the bus before and after school. I was so surprised to hear epic yarn was a spin off game as I didn’t know that when I first got it years ago, but my list of to get games has grown again lol, canvas curse, mass attack (lost it when we moved out of gran’s house), and well… basically all the DS games and some 3DS games are now on my list of get this game or be a stupid head.

Did you know, a big part of Kirby Air ride soundtarck come from the kirby anime ...but the japanese version. When being translated to other countries, Kirby right back at ya received new soundtracks while some of the old music, like Checker Knight, got reused in air ride
The thing about gem apples is that it costs $20 total for a max tree, so basically the game is only $20 if you don't want to wait. The other one is $40 for the full game, though has sales and was recently $27
Epic Yarn's one of my personal favorite game's of all time and I wish it got more recognition from people. It's a game that I can just relax playing and it has one of my favorite gaming soundtracks. Now that people like me are starting to fondly look back at the Wii era I hope Epic Yarn finally gets the attention that it deserves
I just remembered that I was playing one of the Kirby Fighter Games with a friend of mine. And I choose the Archer. Because why not? So my friend knew nothing about this ability right? So for the first 5 minutes I'm just messing with them and shooting randomly without aiming or anything like that. Until they got confident. Then I aimed and they go. "HE CAN AIM!?" And honestly that's still one of my favorite moments with them. And I don't think I'll ever forget that.
With Tilt 'n Tumble, I have to play it on the Gameboy Advance SP. It doesn't seem to bad, until you realize the Gameboy Color and earlier Advance models have the cartridge slot on the opposite side the SP does, thus inverting all the controls. ALL OF THEM.
How is it that Kirby is probably one of if not the most consistent gaming franchise. Every game is good. Sure some of them are ok, but never would I say a single one is bad
The final chapter of fighters 2's story mode was a breeze for me because I found a cheesy strategy with magolor. Here it is. It's super complicated. -> + B into a wall repeatedly and you win. Your welcome.

So you're telling me all these games are based off a character that vores things for substance?
And many of them feature Kirby turning into a ball OC
Hey Justin how's it going
Ah yes Justin y ,man how are you doing
Also, Kirby and Pac-Man have huge amount of appetite. Difference? Kirby ate everyone and everything on his path, but Pac did the same, except he didn't hold anything into his mouth like Kirby.
Oh welcome back to my comment sections lol
Oh yes, Meta Knight and Dedede are the ultimate bros. Fighting together in sync as "sworn partners" and comforting each other by holding hands when they're defeated.
Kirby is love, Kirby is life, also spinoffs of Kirby are pretty good.
This comment is all over the place
what a suprise
Man you should of said nice so it rhymed
KIRBY IS GOD
"Galacta Knight for the first time in ages" - we had him in return to dream land, robobot, and a new version in star allies called morpho knight. I don't think we're lacking
Morpho Knight is actually a beta Meta Knight design!
@@zachb4561 So, BETA Knight?
People never seem to recognize Akira Miyagawa's contribution to Kirby Air Ride's soundtrack. A significant number of tracks in that game are lifted directly from the Kirby anime's soundtrack, which he composed the music for.
kirby mass attack was my first kirby game, i had it on the ds when i was only 5. i’ve been obsessed with kirby for 9 almost 10 years now and i’ve forgotten quite a bit about mass attack since i only had it when i was younger. it was super nice to see the gameplay again
Alas, you can finally get the 3d kirby that you desired
Rainbow Curse is just Kirby flexing, he *could* use his arms and copy abilities, he just doesn't feel like it
"Man this is the Third time i have to save the Universe this month, this got stale im gonna challenge myself this time"
Sweet video!
Me, a die hard Kirby fan, making sure you give all the best games the right amount of attention: Yeah, that's probably good
Man theres just so many spin off games. I love the creativity and experiments they did for them! Also wow this is your longest video yet, great job! I could tell a lot of work and research was put into this.
My favorite kirby spin off game is probably Kirby clash deluxe and epic yarn
Epic yarn because I love the narration and 2 because the games aesthetics are amazing.
I've always been a fan of the arts and crafts type of games for that reason.
“It’s be great if HAL gives this game updates to keep this game fresh.”
*coughs in future DLC
I still play Mass Attack to get these happy memories back, such a great game.
very nice video, i love how you explain every spin-off so accurate and don't miss anything.
"Id love to see 3d kirby with copy abil-"
Hal labs: hold my max tomato
Strato-Patrol EOS is actually a deliberate send-up to one of HAL's Famicom titles called "Uchuu Keibitai SDF"
Space Patrol EOS more like what if Kirby was Touhou
Kirby's dream course deserves more love. It's great, I love it on a very unreasonable level, And it deserves a sequel. It needs one, actually.
I was so surprised to hear epic yarn was a spin off game as I didn’t know that when I first got it years ago, but my list of to get games has grown again lol, canvas curse, mass attack (lost it when we moved out of gran’s house), and well… basically all the DS games and some 3DS games are now on my list of get this game or be a stupid head.
therapist: "kabuki Kirby is not real"
Kabuki Kriby: 27:46
11:21 i LOVE how this game plays almost kind of like sonic riders but the new things that are added make the game stand out in it's own ways, i just love it so much!!
14:35 duUde that would be sooo amazing :DD
Did you know, a big part of Kirby Air ride soundtarck come from the kirby anime ...but the japanese version.
When being translated to other countries, Kirby right back at ya received new soundtracks while some of the old music, like Checker Knight, got reused in air ride
0:16 who else heard Mario screaming as he was freaking crushed by the kirb
Note to Hal: Don’t give Kirby a voice, he is a straight up menace to society
“First time in ages”
He was in Robobot and sort of star allies
I remember playing some of these, but I love Kirby mass attack, as a kid I always got sad when a Kirby died
The thing about gem apples is that it costs $20 total for a max tree, so basically the game is only $20 if you don't want to wait.
The other one is $40 for the full game, though has sales and was recently $27
I love how he said he would love a 3D Kirby game and about a year later Forgotten Land was announced.
Epic Yarn's one of my personal favorite game's of all time and I wish it got more recognition from people. It's a game that I can just relax playing and it has one of my favorite gaming soundtracks. Now that people like me are starting to fondly look back at the Wii era I hope Epic Yarn finally gets the attention that it deserves
epic yarn and mass attack are the most fun games I've everplayed
it's kinda funny that hal was like "lets make an entirely new copy ability just for this spinoff game that is $20"
Airide is easily my most nostalgic game, It was the first game I've ever played and I always love revisiting it
I just remembered that I was playing one of the Kirby Fighter Games with a friend of mine.
17:33 Sheesh, Drawcia's level looks like a Witch's Barrier from Madoka Magica, just plain unsettling.
How is it that Kirby is probably one of if not the most consistent gaming franchise. Every game is good. Sure some of them are ok, but never would I say a single one is bad
The music in epic yarn slaps SO hard.
41:16 Actually, if you look at the eShop, Fighters 2 says it has in-game purchase...yet there are none yet. So we are going to get some extra stuff!
Don't get too hyped. It could just be referring to the option on the menu that lets you purchase other Kirby games through the eshop.
@@C_Arson oh...u right dang 😐
The final chapter of fighters 2's story mode was a breeze for me because I found a cheesy strategy with magolor. Here it is. It's super complicated. -> + B into a wall repeatedly and you win. Your welcome.
this video is really good! it deserves more views.
Epic Yarn might be my favorite Kirby spinoff. Such a relaxing vibe with easy but engaging gameplay. I honestly think Yarn should become a copy ability.
Thank you for shouting out Shogo Sakai and the incredible Kirby and the Rainbow Curse OST.
how did I not know about Kirby's non-Extra Epic Yarn??
I really enjoy watching your videos especially the starfy one
Epic Yarn and Mass Attack were absolute delights
*"I feel like some apple pie!"* 🍎
4:22
Susie : you remember me the gorgeous-
Kirby: listen doll face I dream land ain't buying what you sell so unless ya wanna a date with this hot pinky pie than get the heck out before your haltdead
Tilt n tumble is REALLY fun when played on a phone emu- I mean... Uh... Y'know... One of them rare phone gameboys. Highly recommend if you're fine with it.
Ahem*
BRING RAINBOW CURSE TO THE SWITCH NINTENDO!
Tilt 'n' Tumble should've been in Dream Collection. The Wii was perfect for a port.
Here at 5045. Damn, i cant believe they made Kirby Air Ride 2 on the Super Switch.
Fun fact: Andrew Hussie is like 41 freaking years old
fun fact: homestuck peaked around 2009-2012
somebody just aged like 70 years by seeing your comment
Kirby's Canvas Curse was the first Kirby game I played! Epic Yarn was the first one I completed.
And dammit this video spoiled the final chase sequence...
In smash 3ds there is a mode called smash run that's baseliy inspired by city trial from air ride
KIRBYS EPIC YARN LETS GOOOOOOO!!!! Dude you brought back so many memories!
I remember spending like 100 of the Walking Coins on DS to get all of the Keychains in the beanstalk one, will never regret it
A feeling that Subspace Emissary gave me that I've never been able to shake...
_Are we sure Super Smash Brothers isn't a Kirby spinoff in a trenchcoat?_
People say that Among Us is about deception, sabotage and betrayal. They obviously haven't played Dream Course
Mass Attack was the first Kirby game I played, if not the first game I ever played! It's really fun and I'm glad you like it!
I just finished the final level of expert difficulty on Kirby Star Stacker. Let me tell you, it is properly difficult.
Oh my god the sub games for Mass Attack haunt me to this day, I love them so much ^^
41:26 I think that was my first exposure to Kirby
That and Melee
34:59 we’ll now we’ve got our wish :)
people are mean to battle royale, I had a ton of fun playing it with friends.
3:09 fun fact, nintendo did exactly the same with ocarina of time on Spain. The game was in english, but they sell a special book with all the dialogues in spanish. Pretty weird desition into a game wher the story is so important
Rainbow Curse was my very first Kirby game, and it was a ton of fun, even though young me had a really hard time with the final boss. Thank you Rainbow Curse for introducing me to the wonderful world of Kirby! ^^
I love this bro
Love how long your videos are Yet they are so interesting that they feel short
God damn this should have over 100k views wth.
RUclips algorithm is trash compared to youtubers like you that put out a video that is entertaining, replayable, and informative enough to make it a history lesson and an asset to the gaming community.
RUclips, pay attention.
Blowout blast one of my favorite kirby games
Can you review the Klonoa series? I'd love to see a review of those games and send him some love
Don't you just hate when you wake up and the grass feels like pants/trousers?
I tried to get into Kirby a few months ago. Maybe I'll give it another try one day?
my personal theory on the crescent masks is that they're another artifact created by the ancients, possibly experimenting with dark matter as well, which is how the masks became cursed
It's a crime that Air Ride was reviewed so badly at release
Kirby Mass Attack I also haven't got past that stage without getting hit I have got past all the bosses except for the final one that one's just kind of a nightmare
Air Ride, Epic Yarn, and Mass Attack are practically main series games at this point.
drawcia had 3 sisters, the third being claycia.
At least battle royale gave us Bandana dee’s apple juice song.🍎
Drawcia: I kid you not Paintra he turned I turned him into a ball. He calls himself ball Kirby.Funniest stuff I’ve ever seen
Everybody gangsta until the rpg monger start losing his mouth, becoming smol and meeting cloud from final fantasy 7
Ah, Kirby Mass Attack. Back when Pokemon X and Y were new, I bought it second hand, but didn't go to play it for about a month. It ended up not working, and remains one of the few Kirby games I've never completed
Can we all take a moment to appreciate his amazing editing skills??
I’m still waiting for a full on meta knightmare/ dededetour spin off with more lore on certain characters
I was really scared you weren't gonna talk about the expanded subgames lmao
