If u have taken the Accomodation through loughborough studentpad or any registered agency then it’s okay but if it’s with a private landlord then I wouldn’t advice u to do so. Try to get a uk guarantor which will help u to pay in monthly

If you are in tier 2 visa you can take up a second job but you can work only 20 hours a week in that job. I think freelancing doesn’t come under this because u can’t count the number of hours you work. May be when u get a tier 2 u can discuss that with a dedicated immigration solicitor

6 months advance is not advisable You can try to search and find one for 1 month advance. Always ask the video of the house and do a video call with the owner
