The room is thought to be haunted by Elizabeth Wilson, AKA Mrs. Wilson. She was the hotel’s head housekeeper and, during a storm in 1911, was injured during an explosion as she was lighting the lanterns in room 217. She survived, though broke her ankles and her spirit seems to be a regular in the room. Guests have reported items moved, luggage unpacked, and lights being turned on and off. Here's my theory of Jake.
He said he doesn't remember running up to the door and slamming it shut at that time, so probably something got in him just to test how much energy he had. Later on, I feel like something went inside of him and that's why he put his head all the way down to probably get energy. Then he started acting strange and lifts his head up and I feel like whatever went inside of him, got enough energy and that's why his eyes got *red* . Whatever was in him left his body, and that's why Jakes body shook/ twitched. Then Jake wakes up and all he sees are the candles suddenly go out but doesn't remember what happened to him. By the way I'm no expert :/

When he put his head down, the spirit probably thought, "He's not gonna see me, let me try him." When Jake lifted his head, the spirit most likely was controlling his body, and just looking around in a body was fulfilling enough.
A question before I continue, did *_anyone_* seem worn out or tired in any way afterward, Jake especially?
The spirit must've been old and had used a lot of your energy (probably combined since you were all touching. Energy can pass through humans) so when it realized it was using too much, it had to leave before it drained you guys. Somehow, it could've latched to him on accident--not unlike hooking your sleeve or sweatshirt on something--and jerked out of him due to complications with attachment. That could've caused the candles to flicker, as spirits can interact without being seen.
TL;DR : Jake *_theoretically_* could've been possessed by a being, whether it be a demon, human ghost, or large animal.
Edit: another possibility, something was already *_in_* Jake. There are around four ways this can go--the being in Jake saw the other possible spirits in the room and left him to join the others. Another option, the thing (let's just call it a Visitor) could've been scared out of his body by another, most likely a demon if the Visitor was so violently spooked. The third would be another being pulled the Visitor out because it didn't like the body and was looking out for the Visitor (maybe spirits can see the life length on things? Which would suggest the future is already concrete and unchangeable), and that kind of links to the fourth. What if another being forcibly removed/fought the Visitor and threw out the Visitor, only to take its spot? The candles could be a result of the Visitor being replaced, both the force of the new being taking the spot and the throwing out combined. New edit: The replacement could be causing the bad luck (possibly temporary or because of the vengefulness of the being), or, referring back to the original theory, the Visitor's remains could be affecting him.
In somewhat of a summary, majority of the hunches suggest there was already something(s) in that room. It was not a good idea to go to Biltmore again, as some spirits attached may have recognized you and possessed another one in your group. It's not recommended to go into new homes with spirits attached to you, so maybe find a way to acknowledge the spirits that could be linked and get rid of them *_AWAY FROM YOUR PERSONAL HOMES._* I cannot stress that enough. An option is a church, or a place largely associated with holiness (I don't know a lot about that stuff, as I'm atheist).
Now, there are probably really reasonably logical solutions involving science (AC, a breeze, the table got jerked, someone breathed too hard), so just know these are all _theoretical_ possibilities.

Ok, ok, im not actually sure if i can explain this properly but anyway
so a few minutes ago, i watched jake's Dybbuk box videos and i noticed in the one where ehe burnt it, he mentioned that in a dream he had, he was followed by a shadow who has RED EYES. Now, in the Biltmore Hotel video, we see jake having RED EYES. Im not sure if this is just a coincidence or not, but its a pretty strange one.
maybe jake did get possessed by whatever was in the Dybbuk box, and them trying to contact a spirit kinda... woke it up? maybe? Or if he was possessed the demon inside it might have reacted to the spirit in the Biltmore hotel.........

no but i feel like, the reason why jake was targeted that night was because he was basically disrespecting the spirit by rubbing his cheeks on the piano, and closing the piano(which can be translated to something disrespectful, which basically moving things that is owned by a spirit to a place that they didnt place it originally) and also, he literally just like smacked his body on the door to shut it which can also be translated to something disrespectful. Also, some culture believe that disrespecting a spirit can give you a bad luck which is what literally happened to jake. In my culture, never curse, never shit talk or do negative things in abandoned buildings or area or in forest and so on. this is because forest, abandoned area/buildings are usually where they live. and also fun fact, every place or buildings have a spirit living in it, let it be in your home, mosque, church and so on(my culture's beliefs).

Its probably easier to just completely shut it down and play it off like nothing because if he lets himself think whatever happened was real it would probably freak him out, and him being childish is just a front when hes uncomfortable.
I also think corey is more susceptible to spirits because hes open minded, i think he trusts his judgement and follows his intuition so whenever theres a thought about something it never goes through the second guessing phase in his head when something happens he just “knows” based off gut feeling. That may be why they’re attracted to him. And also whenever theres something bad happening hes the first to really know what to do thats how you know he has good instincts

it's so weird and frustrating that apparently no one except for them can hear the high pitched sounds when there's the noise upstairs. because whenever i watch one of their videos i wear headphones (and im sure many other people do) and the only thing i can hear is the loud noise and like yeah it's probably because the camera can't capture every little sound but the fact that they still seem to hear it while watching the video kinda freaks me out
