Awesome vid! I have a MY2000 FireHawk Trans-Am and a 1991 3000GT VR-4. Rescued the VR-4 from a guys back yard. Been working on restoring it slowly. I just installed tubular headers, and Kinugawa TD04HL-19T's on mine not too long ago. Seeing this video makes me wanna turn it up right now, but I gotta get a proper clutch in it before doing so. Dude Thanks for posting this, its like I'm getting a peek at whats to come in the future!

I like the low profile look on the boost/fuel switch, I might need to do that also. I got a 91 Vr4 with a bomerex body kit, some vented fenders, carbon fiber Evo style hood and carbon fiber combat wing located in Rothsay MN about 40 miles away from him.
in the next couple of weeks, im going to be having a 97 mitsu 3000gt & a 94 nissan 300zx delivered to me from down south.. they will be rolling through north dakota (pembina crossing) as i live 10 mins south of winnipeg, manitoba canada.. keep an eye out if you are near there.. mitsu is from northern arkansas (needs ALL the love) & the 300zx is from oklahoma & needs some love too..
Replace your oil pan, it's crushed where the oil pickup is located probably why the oil pressure is irratic. Also using factory oem oil filter will raise pressure aswell.
@@therealjessescheel Or just take a hammer to it. The clearance between the oil pan and oil pickup is like .4cm. A lot of mechanics use it as a lifting point to lift the engine when doing work, decreasing that distance and suffocating the engine of oil.
I use to have a clean 94’ VR4. With the Huge Glass sunroof. I still have it, it drives and runs, but it’s ‘totaled’ so looking for a roller to swap everything.
I had 91 vr4 with a fully built engine. Paid 6k for it with around 100k on the chasis, good luck getting one for that price these days...and that was 12 years ago.

I was looking for a 3000 when I ran across the Eclipse. Kind of glad I couldn't find a clean one. Fighting with myself about selling it with current prices, would drive me *insane* !
Very clean VR4 man. I have owned a couple. Currently have a 94 and had a 95 that was similar power to this. Was 593 on pump and methanol at like 21 psi. Supposed to be over 700 awhp with race and methanol at 32 ish lb of boost if I recall. I never had more than pump and Meth… was super freaking fun
@@sandrockets-_-6406 it had a Ray Pampena 3.1 short block in it. forged crank/pistons/rods that motor, stage 3 I think, was supposed to be good to 1000whp without detonation. Dynamic racing stage 3 heads, race/street cams from dynamic racing with high rev valve spring kit. Was able to shift at 7800 RPMs I think it would rev to 8,000 but I never pushed it that hard. Like 7500 going into 4th had DR800s with 660cc injectors and a boost a pump. Thing was nasty for it’s time. Matt from Dynamic racing bought it from me and installed twin GTX2867s in it. He is estimating about 900whp or so on race gas
16G "big evo" turbos? TD05 is the turbine/housing size, if they're the 16G you should be able to get ~600hp on corn. I have the same Raijin wheels on my 95', nice.
I got a 97 VR4, also red. I never liked the 99 spoilers, the 97/98 VR4 spoilers fit the lines of the car much better. But regardless, if you get a VR4, treat it right you will love it. I will never sell mine, way too much fun.
Clean car for sure, enjoy the ride. I have 3. 97vr4, 97 SL ATX DD, 92 VR4 under reconstruction(The old school beast). Launch it at 5.5 to 6 k for your best thrills, it can take it until it breaks. Mr. Rojo. Cheers.
I’m glad the 3000gt are pretty cheap till this day where I live there’s 4 of them super cheap 2 need motor work and 2 need paint work I’ve always wanted one as a kid and I’m finally gonna get one soon
im friends with Ray.. I just picked up a 1991 3000gt vr4.. it needs some work but only 87,000 original miles. im planning on starting a youtube channel with the car.
3000GT all day over the trans am. We will pry do a video with the trans am in the future. Trans Am's are cool and serve a purpose but they are abundant and nothing overly special about them. Those 3KGT's are tough to come by especially in this ones form. 🙂👍
U never have 2 worry about UR 3KGT/GTO overheating if the stock fans working cos they will literally turn on just by warming up the car b4 driving on a cold start cos the engine getting too hot just form sitting in the sun.
these cars kill motor oil really fast. something like mobil 1 0w40 thins out to 0w20 in no time at all even stock power. I have had only good luck with redline 10w40 it lasts 10 times longer than something like 0w40 mobil 1.
I have a 95 VR4 and love it. It's a fantastic car, loads of fun, and absolutely love it.

Got me a 93' VR4 all stock no damage. 130,000 miles for $7,000 ^_^ needs a paint job but im so happy all things work and drives good!

It’s an aftermarket brand. Simon the owner is aware of it and looking for a solution I believe.

Be careful. Check for rust. The undercarriage gets eaten up quicker than the rest of the car.

Yep. Tough to come by anywhere right now. There is a clean 1995 on bring a trailer right now but I dont think it is in Canada.
