      Not they came from Africa.
      You shouldn't believe everything you read on Wikipedia, it's written by crazy Albanians who want to present themselves as civilized.
      They (you) are a wild tribe that lived in the mountains until 1912 then came down and mostly destroyed culture that was left there by Romans and Greeks. They are barely civilized. They were always on the wrong side, bloody fascists in WWII. Then they were the worst communists for 50 + years. Then they started dealing drugs, kidnaping people for slavery and organ black market and now are publishing on internet all sorts of fairy tales about Illyrians etc...

Much more options and beautiful islands , beaches etc there… in cuisine we can compete( maybe even do better) if we keep up the good work it will be our golden ticket in tourism , but I doubt it very much. I suspect that No culinary scools, no quality check from the government, underpayment of staff etc. will eventually ruin it eventually. Albania is beautiful, but this peace seems like it was paid for by the government. It is not true that prices are lower in Albania than in Greece. In Greece, you get the shezlong for free as long as you buy something from the bar (minimum 1 Euro). On the Albanian beach (Sarande), you pay up to 40 Euros for one. In addition, prices this year are being doubled compared to last year.

    • @pennyh2993
      @pennyh2993 10 дней назад +4

      Have you ever been in Albania??? Your information is very very wrong. I have been in Saranda for the past two months and visited Corfu in meanwhile. You can 100% get two shezlong + an umbrella for free if you order a drink or food at the beach and even if they charge you it’s not more than €10 or €15. Also The food and drink is a lot cheaper than Greece.

      Albania has designated public beaches or part of beaches for free. People choose chaiselaunges for comfort and luxury and for that you have to pay. It's $5 in Vlore and it's four times that, at least, in Italy. Don't know about Greece and don't want to ever find out. I'm never giving my hard earned dollars to those showvinist racist.

      @@me8139of course it is getting more and more expensive every year. My first visit to Albania was in 2022, we stayed at an amazing hotel for $27 a night, that exact hotel is $90 a night right now and fully booked. That is not shocking and happing all over the world. My only concern is I hope Albania is not making the same mistake that Greece did in the 70s. The over building with zero plan to preserve the city and the view is very concerning. There are already lots of water and power problems in Saranda. 😢

It's certainly not cheap anymore, very crowded, people getting more greedy, generally they have a long way to go with customer service and on top of that just as the whole Balkans, rubbish is everywhere.. for the same money, you get much more and friendlier service in Greece or Turkey

      As someone who's lived here for over a year, I totally agree with the points made in this comment. I'll add, that the beaches are not only much smaller than the deceiving drone footage shows, but they are difficult to get to, dominated by restaurants, bars, cafes and the beach chair mafia, who charge 15 euros for a spot. Good luck finding a free place to put your towel.
      Not to mention the traffic, constant noise of construction, no parking and a serious lack of infrastructure. You may come once, but more than likely, won't return....
