Thank you, I use to work…years ago..in excel and there you can set a hyperlink to documents too but it doesn’t worked that good. Well in the beginning but it won’t stay there forever. I was waiting for this nice way of opening a document so, I think you can read our minds 😀😀😀. Always a good video, keep the, coming…..we loved them 👏👏👏👏👏 And I must add that this is extremley usefull. Something I will try the next time it is computer time.
Thank you Gary so much for sharing this video. Your resourcefulness is 🤯 P.S. This video provides a solution for my question from a month ago in your video - "Creating Links Directly to System settings" comment section. 🙏🏽
I run Big Sur on my old Mac so don't have the shortcut app. However, I do copy the full path to the relevant cell. Then if I right click the cell, select 'Services' then 'Open', I can run the service and it opens the destination file. Hope this helps users of older Macs :-)
I added permission to Numbers update in Private and Security , and now it runs well, and just in case, I added permission to Pages, and it works in the same way opening links from paths
Love numbers and watching your videos, but I'm struggling with what I think would be a simple "If/Then" checkbox formula.... I'm trying to figure out how to make one cell become bold or not using a checkbox? Can you help figure this out?
Look into conditional highlighting. That's the feature that changes the style of a cell. But you can only change the style of the current cell, you can't force it on to another cell.
That's sort of similar to one you did some months back. I thought I remember that one used to be able to link an AppleScript in Numbers. But, maybe not.
I was using the old method he gave, but Apple’s latest update broke all of the links. This new method will be great as soon as I build a formula to strip away those apostrophes. 😅
What happens when you get a new computer? I’d rather have a container field in Numbers like FileMaker has so the files can be self-contained with the database. Not really following this method, or maybe it’s too late at night …

Magic 😂
when I paste the path of a file in a cell it is there without quotes, and also it shows the error "the service could not be used"
I added permission to Numbers in Privacy&Security and it started to run

Can you do something about spam emails. It. seems like the more I block the more I get. I didn't start using hide my email until about a year ago
Not sure what this has to do with Numbers. I have a video on handling spam: ruclips.net/video/fFAvUQNeksc/видео.html
