Anyone else just watch Sherpa and Jamie's videos when you want to relax and feel better? Even seeing Sherps just laying in the beautiful yard makes me feel happier!

Yes ! They drop here at ten in the morning and I have started going to bed early enough so that I can get up and watch them with my breakfast.
Bedtime here for me so this video should send me off to sleep. Usually these videos drop at about 0100 where I live so I’m asleep. I drifted off to sleep in my chair and eventually woke up to find the video was here. Now off to bed and will momentarily think of Sherpa before properly sleeping.
Yes, that's exactly the same for me! I usually watch the videos when they're put up (4pm UK time), and often watch again in bed, to relax me before I sleep, and put me into a nice mood. Just seeing them pottering around (or, in Sherpa's case, lying around) is such a happy and joyful thing.

The vet gave my dog a prescription for Avelox. She had those sores and overall itching. It was the best thing that I did for her. She passed on at 16 1/2. Loved her and can't get over it. I'm too old to take care of another. Jaime, you take such good care if your house. You're quite proud of it! A home always meant a lot to me. God bless Sherpa! Debby in Kansas

The heat & moisture are hard on heavy-coated dogs. When I lived in Missouri, my Huskies used to get them occasionally, too. Hot & humid!!!!!
@@MsWarriordiva My German Shepard gets hot spots and they appear usually in cooler weather. But, with heavy coated dogs; it seems tougher. Hot and humid plus a hot spot, so sorry to hear.

Greetings from East Tennessee USA! Been watching Sherpa and Key both for a long time. Sorry Sherpa has another hot spot and some spell times but the one thing overall that is obvious.... Sherpa is RETIRED! That yard/garden is his.....he earned it but Jamie made it happen and that is so heartwarming and beautiful! Take credit Jamie and let that baby sleep as much as he wants!!!!

The orange moon is a harvest moon.
With sherpa's got spot it could be his food. My dog had the same spots till I changed his dry food. I know you said it's his thyroid but there might be more then that causing these hot spots. Try changing his food first. I got a brand of dog food here in Canada called NITRO. You may have something similar in England.
It's the moisture trapped on his skin, I need to make sure I dry him properly after hydro

What exactly is a Hot Spot. I’ve got an idea but not sure.
@@Palominohusky Jamie said it happens when Sherpa gets wet and moisture is trapped against his skin which then grows bacteria causing the "hot spot".
I use gentian violet and wound powder on my dogs when they get hot spots. Trim away the hair from around the sore.

Sweet puppy! 🤗🐕I remember that previously Jamie cured it with a cream. It's good that his friend Ronny went to visit him.😀 I am impressed with how quickly and well Jamie built the barbecue. It would have been impossible for me to do it. Just by looking at those instructions and the number of pieces scares me haha!😄😘🐕❤❤

Jamie is really smart at putting things together.Poor Sherpa as some type of fungal skin disorder.His immune system must be very weak.He is getting old in the dog world!!
Jamie said it is probably because he did not get dry enough after hydro.
My husky gets them and she is 10 yes. Old. We live in Florida so not in a wet area unless someone takes the dog to the beach. I think it has to do with low immunity as well.

Jamie, my pup used to get hot spots and the vet put him on Benadryl and POOF ~ they stopped. Maybe ask him/her about it.
Fwiw, a bit of baking soda paste - very simple - helps big time! Look it up.❤)

Okay, I will give you 28 degrees as hot. That's 82 in F. I don't like it to get over 80, but man, it's nice here! It's going to be in the mid-to low 70s for the week with a chance of rain next Monday and Tues! It's going to get down to 68 on Monday! That over 30 degrees cooler than the heat wave!

Jamie, you could try using Neem Oil on Sherpa's skin. It's often used on horses and I had to use it on one of my Guinea Pigs: it fixed him up within a few days (and I use it on any irritation on my skin too) It's worth trying 😊

Just found out my dog, Harry the lurcher.. a rescue with very little hair when I got him...is not the half foxhound I thought. He is in fact a greyski. Half greyhound and...drum roll...half huski! Now he is fitter and growing his fur it is obvious and boy does he talk a lot, only to me though❤. Poor Sherpa needs an especially large number of hugs...for his hotspot.❤❤

In the caribbean, we use sulphur powder or sulphur ointment on the hot spots. It clears it up quickly and promotes new hair growth. You may want to give it a try.

Hi, I hope I’m remembering this correctly, he talked about one a while back in a video he actually had to put ointment on that got very irritated. I think it’s when he gets wet and there’s certain parts that don’t get completely dry that end up irritating his skin and giving him those “hot spots” if you notice parts of his fur where it’s grown back, the fur is darker like black spots. I hope I’m remembering this correctly. I was trying to go back through the videos to mention it but I honestly don’t remember how long ago it was. Luckily this one healed on its own.

I'm not sure if that was flea dirt that Jamie was moving away but it probably has to be looked at by a vet, preferably one that's experienced in canine skin conditions and not some youngster a few years out of a veterinary school. An experienced vet can save the dog owner alot of money by correctly diagnosing the issue and deciding not to refer the pet to a vet dermatologist for expensive testing - if it's not really needed.
You did good with the grill. Sherpa is so lovely. Love him.
