The white unit in your shower is probably what the question was about. Typically, American showers are controlled by the faucets on the tub. There is usually a lever on the tub spout that directs the water to the shower head instead of to the tub spout. There is no separate unit for the shower. Jamie, I love your and Sherpa's house and garden, the thick walls, the stone, the tasteful, open style of the place. I'm curious about what the shed holds. Hopefully it's something weird and wonderful like a pottery kiln or a glass blowing studio. But I bet it's a mower of some sort and yard tools.
I think the question about the shower was in reference to the shower control. It's very different from how they are in the States, and I remember being confused (and slightly terrified) when I first traveled to the U.K. and met up with one.
Yes, I agree. I lived in England for 8 years and that was the one thing I always noticed going back and forth to the states for visits. I never became used to it.
Yea Jaime is so use to the box so it is normal for him. For us in the US our shower and bath water are on the same handle. I bet that would be completely foreign to Jaime 😂❤! Also having the small fridge and dishwasher look like regular cabinets is so cool. The fridge would be too small for my family. But it seems perfect for Jaime and Sherpa 🥰
The airing cupboard is actually a hangover from when houses had a boiler and a separate hot water tank and the airing cupboard is where the tank went. This meant that the cupboard was always warm so damp stuff could go in to dry off. Also useful as a place to put your bread dough to rise. These days with on-demand hot water from the boiler, many houses no longer have a hot water tank, so it's just a cupboard!
The birds have quickly got used to their food dispensers, that must be so nice to watch them. Have you seen any other wildlife? Foxes, badgers, squirrels etc? Sherpa is absolutely loving his new home. Love you beautiful boy 💙💙🐾🐾
Not being " picky " but it was a mobile home, not a caravan. ☺️. A mobile home has mains electric, water, and proper drains.... like a bungalow.☺️ We live in one, and have bottled gas for heating...many use for cooking... A caravan is a type of van that you tow with a car .... No offence intended☺️. Best Wishes from Darkest Hampshire ! 🇬🇧🌿🥀🏞️🐕🦉🥀🇬🇧
@@rosemariemann1719 But it is a type of caravan though, its made from similar material to a touring caravan. They are called Static Caravans where I'm from in the UK, so they aren't wrong at all in calling it a caravan. You definitely are being picky :p
I remember an earlier exchange about the term 'caravan' being used differently in the UK 🇬🇧 than in the USA 🇺🇸, and the confusion it can generate. Someone in yhat conversation said, "When in Rome, follow Roman traffic rules, not Greek traffic rules." This conversation seems similar.
@@janicestevenson9471 people in the US are picky about what's called a mobile home vs trailer vs manufactured and a lot of it is just vanity. We all know that if it's not an RV, the other 3 are basically the same thing.

Rewatching your videos. Appreciate knowing the backstory. What a great place you got there. Glad you were able to have a large yard for Sherpa to play in. Hugs to you.

Jamie you're such a great dad to Sherpa. Wish there were more people like you in this world❤. People are growing cold towards others these days but your videos bring warmth and lots of love ❤ May you be blessed with endless happiness ❤❤❤
Hey Jamie, maybe you can use the dishwasher just to drain your dishes. And just leave it a tad open, so it won’t build moisture. That way you’ll safe space on the counter….also, I totally get Sherpa’s sleeping habits, my husky most of the time chooses the bare floor to sleep on. He also really likes his elevated bed, no blankets, cushions, or anything. Maybe he just likes to stay cool ❄️🐾💙🐺
Totally agree! ☺ At least stack your dirty dishes inside the dishwasher (and even let them dry in there after you wash them by hand… if you must) 🤣, then you can remove the black dish drainer from your countertop for a cleaner look. ✨
“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life”..so true and if your worried about money, this will come automatically as a by product!
My dog slept on a blanket in an outside kennel. This was before he came to us 3 years ago, age 6 & and a half. Here he sleeps indoors on settee or a chair or his bed in dining room, under my computer desk. His previous rescuer kept several dogs in the house. He told me my one didn't get on with the other dogs. He gets very stroppy when were out and he sees bigger dogs. He socialised with his next door neighbour here who is a bitch about same size. They love each other its so sweet.
With so much space Sherpa will be doing more steps in a day so that can only be good for his joints and general health , he looks really well and happy and bouncy. So all is well in the world. 🐶💕😍❤️
My girls didn't like to lay on beds either 💗🐾😊 Also, Sherpie speaks such lovely English that the subtitles are simply for reference purposes only lol 😆😜
I totally love how the fridge & dishwasher are hidden into the cupboard panel scheme! It looks beautiful! Sherpa really looks so happy & lively with the new house & especially his huge garden! 🐾❤️🐾 Jamie, you have the best job in the world… being Sherpa’s Dad! You are the best man for the job! 🫶 I can’t wait for Key & Jodie to come for a sleepover at your new house!
The new place is just perfect for you and Sherpa. I agree about the windows. I wouldn’t have anything on mine either if I had that much privacy. So nice to have the light come in and to be able to see the beautiful outside view.
I think the yard freedom Sherpa has made a huge difference in his agility. Dishwasher is a great way to fully sterilize Sherpa's water and food bowls. It's a great opportunity to remove residual bacteria.
Dont worry Jamie. I'm amazed you had time to film while moving. Shame about the mini. Also why would you want the caravan there ? You are a hard worker so we will all keep supporting you. Many people make a living from you tube. I had no idea until i started following and subscribing to a few people inc you and Sherpa . My dogs loved the floor to sleep. I always thought it was because it’s cooler. I love the new home cheers for choosing such a lovely and free space to dwell. He looks like his health and strength is returning ❤
All dogs love to lay on a cold surface during a heatwave ,as it helps cool them down naturally. It's even worse for double coated breeds of dogs of which Lord Sherpa is ,so he'll prefer to lay down on a cold surface summer and winter .
The garden is to beautiful to have put the caravan there, you also don’t want to block the view and like you said, you’re starting a new chapter. Sherpa seems so happy w/his new home as do you. So happy for you both.
Jamie as popular as Sherpa is i don't think you will be out of a job any time soon as long as you keep posting videos. You made the best chose moving to an actual house with a garden that big for Sherpa. You and Sherpa make alot of peoples day just by making the videos that you do. I for one am totally in love with Sherpa. Thank you Jamie for bringing your sweet boy Sherpa into my life through RUclips. Love and well wishes to both of you. ❤🐺❤✌️🙏.
Jamie, you really did find the perfect house for the 2 of you. It’s beautiful and I love the beams and skylights! That is a small refrigerator but for one person (and Sherpa) it’s great. I don’t use my dishwasher either since it’s only me. If I have friends over they help😃 I still think the surprise in the shed is a riding lawnmower! You need it with that huge yard! Hugs to you both! 🐕🦺💙
By lying on the floor rather than his bed Sherpa is cooler particularly as huskies & malamutes have thick undercoated, if he feels cold he will move to his bed. So glad his liver enzymes are stable. An airing cupboard used to a shelved cupboard to store all the towels and bedding, at least when I was a kid. Love the house you two take care. Peter
Hi, Jamie - I think you have enough with YTube and keep up the great work. You have set out to give Sherpa the best life ever and you are doing this every day. It cannot be easy and I hope you feel rewarded in every sense of the word. Having ownership of a house is a great responsibility and I wish for you good things and that you both dwell in your new home for many, many years. I certainly wish you good health and all the best in keeping the home fires burning for a long long time to come. Never stop going after what is important to you. You certainly have a lot to offer and so many of us are appreciative of what you do. Best of everything, Jan
I am a tad older than you Jamie and I had never used a dishwasher until the house I bought came with one. Basically, since I'm alone, I run it every 2 or 3 days. There are videos on RUclips that will teach you how to stack the dishes so that they come clean, and how to clean it out
I think Sherpa can sleep wherever he wants, he is a big boy. Not sure why someone would be telling you off about where your dog sleeps. Big hugs to Sherpa. Hope you guys have an amazing day. In New Hampshire we are getting flooding rain and thunderstorms, not fun.
@@denisecomstock6075I too had a golden retriever. She had her own sofa but still preferred the floor. Dogs have sense enough to know what they want. I miss her so much.
I will take that - and we have - over this freaking heat, I mean at 11pm and it's still 100 but feels like 105, gimme a break...this is End Of Days weather 😬
Jamie, those people commenting about Sherpa laying on the floor instead of a dog bed should realize (If they have been watching for any significant amount of time.) that you love him very much and take excellent care of his needs. Sherpa just likes the cold/cooler floor to sleep on. My Dalmatian at times will lay on the bare floor for short periods. He has two dog beds and a chair that he is allowed to be on. It is just sometimes the floor is cooler and they like that. I love the fact that you have a home with a very large, for the UK, garden for Sherpa and yourself to enjoy. The size of the house looks perfect for you two. May you both enjoy it for many years to come. 🐕 🏠
Thank you, dear Sherpa and Jamie, for answering so many questions in this lovely video. I think most of us have always known Sherpa’s sleep preferences: Flat floor, or thin carpet. You would have to follow him around all night to place a “bed” under him, and then he’d discard it anyway. Strong character is Sherpa; knows exactly what he wants, because of the excellent way he’s been raised. Glad no curtains. With that view, curtains might even be a sin. Live happy, both of you, in your gorgeous, thick-walled house. 💐 🐾 💕
Good on you, being security conscious, Jamie. Interesting that some viewers seem to like imposing their likes (curtains), where Sherpa should sleep (someone pointed out rather brilliantly that people without dogs seem to be the ones making such remarks) - just make your home as Sherpa and you would prefer and are happy in/with, mate.
Because the mains voltage in the US is usually 110v and that is too low to supply the necessary current for a shower heater. e.g. UK mains voltage is 240v so with a 3kw heater the current necessary is around 12 amps, with 110v the current necessary is almost 30 amps which can cause overheating of the cables. These numbers are approximate but this is why you don't often see electric kettles in the US.
Have everything crossed for your income stream to continue forever and to grow, we need to get you a lot more subscribers too, so come on Sherpas family, let’s help Jamie and the furry boy secure their future. xx stay safe xx
I bought our elderly dog an expensive thick bed and he lays on the hard floor , Also we have a fan for him so he can keep cool and he lays right on top of it when it’s cold and when it is hot he will lay away from it lol dogs do what they want not what we want them to! By the way congratulations on the new home once again Jamie and Sherpa ❤
The shower question was probably just the reflection of your hand basin on the glass shower door, which looked like there was a curved white 'something' inside there...😅
Heard one of our oscillating fans making its “I’m stuck” noise one hot day. Our mostly deaf, mostly blind, toothless senior rescue Scottie was leaning against it…meanwhile the Iggy is stretched out on the slate floor in the sunroom that is too hot to walk barefoot on. As long as you are making a dog bed or two available and the dog knows where it is, that’s all you can do. Ardbeg the Scottie insists on sleeping on the wolfhound’s bed and the wolfhound keeps trying to sleep in the tiny “donut” bed we bought for the Italian Greyhound, who insists on sleeping under the covers curled up against the back of hubby’s legs.
The home is really nice for Sherpa and Jamie. They both deserve this lovely place with lots of garden. This is a really good investment for Jamie.A good smart move and they will both enjoy this as Sherpa is now 13 years old.He is getting old in terms of a dogs life.Sherpa is going to need tender loving care in the days ahead as dog aging is a reality.

Thank you Jamie for answering all those questions. By now most of us understand what Sherpa is saying. Your house is lovely and the kitchen is beautiful. I would need a larger refrigerator, but that's me because I like to food prep. Sherpa loves the new place and really seems so happy being there and being with you.
Sherpa belongs to a race of dogs that originally only lived in the arctic, so he doesn't care one bit if the bed is soft or hard, as long as it is nice and cool. I had a newfie, and he always preferred to sleep outside, directly on the ground, all year round, unless it was raining. He couldn't care less about a soft doggie bed, if he could sleep on some nice cold stones, preferably covered in ice and snow. We didn't allow him to stay outside in in the winter, so he found a spot inside, right in front of the back door, where the nice cold wind always blew in underneith the old leaky door. This way he combined being a guard dog with being able to sleep in a nice, frosty draught. I am sure Sherpa would love a nice, frosty draught too, but I hope for you, Jamie, and yor feet, that your new house is properly isolated. Polar dogs are natuarally isolated, people are not. Cheers from Denmark!

I think the question about the shower was in reference to the shower control. It's very different from how they are in the States, and I remember being confused (and slightly terrified) when I first traveled to the U.K. and met up with one.
OR, is that box an 'on demand' water heater????
Yes, I agree. I lived in England for 8 years and that was the one thing I always noticed going back and forth to the states for visits. I never became used to it.
@moiseechen yeah it's a water heater. And since most homes in North America have a hot water tank that would appear foreign to us.
@@tamarinbush6613I think some units also have a pump for better water pressure. That's what I loved about visiting NYC, the great showers.
We used to put all the clean towels in there and they came out lovely and warm !
No subtitles needed; we understand Sherpa! He expresses his feelings very clearly 😉
Thank you so much for "working" on youtube. Without you and beautiful Sherpa, life would be terribly boring. Lots of love from the US.
Said it before, and will say it again......Sherpa and Jamie, living the dream ❤
Wow, I’m sure Shepa sleeps and lives like a king❤he likes the floor probably because it’s cooler and he can stretch out!
These dogs are hot natured. They like cool places, like the cool floor. ❤
The birds have quickly got used to their food dispensers, that must be so nice to watch them.
Have you seen any other wildlife? Foxes, badgers, squirrels etc?
Sherpa is absolutely loving his new home.
Love you beautiful boy 💙💙🐾🐾
I am with you on the caravan. You definitely made the right decision.
Not being " picky " but it was a
mobile home, not a caravan. ☺️.
A mobile home has mains electric,
water, and proper drains....
like a bungalow.☺️
We live in one, and have bottled
gas for heating...many use for cooking...
A caravan is a type of van
that you tow with a car ....
No offence intended☺️.

@ih82r8 my request is a celebration💐🎈🎉❤️💕❤️ of this new amazing home, without distraction. We all participated in their new incredible home, regardless of the past home. He selected an amazing home. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I fill in what Sherpa is saying/responding/demanding without subtitles I feel like I know him so well. 😂
Sherpa is just a warm-blooded fluffy boy who likes it cool. Jamie you are doing so well for everyone and you are busy, remember yourself too. Have a nice evening 💙
Aw thankyou 😊
People have no appreciation for how long it takes to add those tiny hilarious touches that stay on the screen for less than a minute.
Recognize that Jamie is a busy man. He does more than make YT videos.
How I wish I was able to watch Sherpa’s videos, before he left. I saw him in Keys videos. I didn’t know he had his own Channel. Now I am watching his old videos, he was a lovely family member. Hugs ❤
Rewatching your videos. Appreciate knowing the backstory. What a great place you got there. Glad you were able to have a large yard for Sherpa to play in. Hugs to you.
It's nice that you take time to answer people's questions. I love how happy the 2 of you look in your new beautiful home! Thanks for sharing it with us!
I really like the way the refrigerator and dishwasher are incorporated into the kitchen. Sherpa looks so content and happy.
Sherpa really enjoyed his perfect home and garden ❤ You always had Sherpa’s best interest at heart 💖💖 You’re a good dad Jaime 🙏🏼❤️ Praying for strength and love to help you through this most difficult time 🙏🏼💖💖
Jamie you're such a great dad to Sherpa. Wish there were more people like you in this world❤. People are growing cold towards others these days but your videos bring warmth and lots of love ❤ May you be blessed with endless happiness ❤❤❤
I can't say enough how beautiful your new home is.
He is an independent Malmute who chooses to sleep where he wants. I would think, the floor would feel cooler ❤ 😊
😊what do Sarah, granny and Jody think about your new home?❤
Yes! That's what I have always done. But I also run the dishwasher occasionally, empty, to clean it.
An elevated bed is an excellent idea! Jamie should try that, will allow cool air underneath Sherpa, he should like that.
I use mine to store extra pots, pans & their lids

Glad to see the birds have found your feeder Jamie. We know how you enjoy the birdies. Glad to see you both seem to be flourishing in the country. ❤
Best dog ever!
Best home ever!
Best life ever!
So happy for you!
❤
Sherpa looks so happy and comfortable is his new home and yard. I wonder if Granny and Sister Sarah have seen it yet.
He had the best year of his life thank to his wonderful dad he loved so much his garden😢❤
With so much space Sherpa will be doing more steps in a day so that can only be good for his joints and general health , he looks really well and happy and bouncy. So all is well in the world. 🐶💕😍❤️
It’s amazing the difference a change of place can make. It looks like you have found the ideal place for the two of you. Well done!
My girls didn't like to lay on beds either 💗🐾😊
Also, Sherpie speaks such lovely English that the subtitles are simply for reference purposes only lol 😆😜
When I was a kid my airing cupboard had a water tank in it. We used to keep towels and bedding in there.
You don’t need or want the caravan on that beautiful beautiful garden. That’s Sherpa’s wonderful domain
When are you having a giant house-warming party, with Nook and Key?
P.s. let sleeping Sherpa's lie....
Haha soooon
Sunday 🌞, Sweet BLESSINGS on your new home, so deserving. Let Mr. Sherpa sleep wherever he likes he seems comfortable…😴
Yea he owns the place anyway ha
We will patiently wait for you to complete all involved with moving .
😊
I think they mean the on-demand water heater in the shower... With a huge gorgeous Garden like that I would never pull the blinds either Jamie. Especially if part of the view with Sherpa! 😊❤
My properties on two acres and we have a bit of a hill on the one side and it goes down to a pond so three sides of my house don't have any curtains either because there's nobody there to see anyting the side that faces the driveway as we have curtains on that side so yeah we don't have curtains on W of R1 does either I love it that way I love just looking out and seeing the birds and animals and my view and I have a pond and so many trees and all of that I'm near Chicago USA by the way
My dogs loved the floor to sleep.
Sherpa really loves the garden he looks so contented and comfortable there.
My husband and I started all new three years ago and he’s 73. You’re never to old and it’s never to late .
If I have friends over they help😃
I still think the surprise in the shed is a riding lawnmower! You need it with that huge yard!
Hugs to you both! 🐕🦺💙
❤ All good things comes to those that wait and you definitely found a pearl there ❤️❤️
By lying on the floor rather than his bed Sherpa is cooler particularly as huskies & malamutes have thick undercoated, if he feels cold he will move to his bed. So glad his liver enzymes are stable. An airing cupboard used to a shelved cupboard to store all the towels and bedding, at least when I was a kid. Love the house you two take care. Peter
Yes in Canada we called in the linen closet. But UK having their water heater in there was different as ours resided in the basement.
@@joywebster2678 Basements or cellars are not very common in Britain, except for very old houses.
Looks like Sherpa and Batdog have short circuited Alexa while Jamie was sleeping... 😮🔨
Haha I never even thought of that 😂😂
I am a tad older than you Jamie and I had never used a dishwasher until the house I bought came with one.
Oh no, stay safe 🙏
@@SherpasDay At least the tornado warning is done.

I will take that - and we have - over this freaking heat, I mean at 11pm and it's still 100 but feels like 105, gimme a break...this is End Of Days weather 😬
@@denisecomstock6075or technically, climate change!
The cold weather would have affected his mobility, now that it is warmer he will be more flexible and less stiff, just like us humans. Xx

I think the question about the shower thing was that most of us aren't familiar with those particular shower controls.
Conratulations to Sherpa on his house and letting you live in it. 😅 He is all heart under that fur coat.
Happy boys 👍😃
No clutter needed!
Smart man selling the Caravan!
Hi Jamie! I think the box in the shower with the knobs is what they are asking about. We don't have anything like that in the US.
perhaps an on demand water heater?
Haha they're so funny arnt they 😂
The shower question was probably just the reflection of your hand basin on the glass shower door, which looked like there was a curved white 'something' inside there...😅
Heard one of our oscillating fans making its “I’m stuck” noise one hot day.
Your love for Sherpa is beyond anything I've seen. I hope many more years. By the way,, GORGEOUS house. Congrats.

You're a very humble guy, be proud of your success
