    I booked this laptop a few days back
    But i am rather worried then excited..
    will rtx 3060 be enough for gaming?

    • @MADWalker
      @MADWalker  Год назад

      It can run games from 40FPS to 120FPS in 1440p without any issues. Power adapter is must to reach maximum TGP. RTX 3060 is one great GPU in mid range gaming.

      @@MADWalker I have been gaming on previous year laptop that had 2 gb graphics I don’t really know the difference between 1080p and 1440p
      But all i can do now is wait… i just do simple casual gaming.. i want it to run red dead redemption 2 that’s all i want really

    • @MADWalker
      @MADWalker  Год назад

      For Red Dead Redemption 2, with 12700H and 3060, we shall get around 75 FPS on average with ultra settings and 140 TDP

    Bro same laptop with ryzen 7 6800h is good or should I buy intel variant??

    • @MADWalker
      @MADWalker  Год назад

      Compared to 6800H, the intel's 12700H is faster and better in all the aspects, except for the power handling. 12700H laptops will utilize somewhat more power than 6800H. If you are more concerned about battery life, AMD is better. If you can use power adapter all the time, then the go for 12700H.
      But, 12700H is superior in all required configs that a gaming/editing laptop should have.
      If you are a content creator, no doubts. Just choose 12700H.
      Even for gaming, 12700H gives more FPS than 6800H in both FHD and QHD.

      also Intel model has Thunderbolt 4, so you can plug in a eGPU in the future if you need to

      @@zxphvr Can you use existing 3060 with external eGPU in same time?

    • @zxphvr
      @zxphvr Год назад +1

      @@marebeli1 this isn't possible for any laptop to do unfortunately; if you plug in an eGPU, then you will not be using the dGPU in the laptop at that point, and SLI isn't an option either - however there have been some reports of users being able to run SLI in this kind of configuration, but there isn't an easy implementation for it as far as I'm aware, so I wouldn't venture into this option hoping for it to work with current implementation of GPUs in laptops

      Definitely there will be some boost in gaming performance and the 8GB gpu can be future proof for upcoming games.

      this laptop will easily power through ANYTHING you throw at it for the next few years *minimum*. i have the 5 Pro with a 12700H, and with the extra RAM in the build you mentioned in comparison to mine, as well as the GPU upgrade from 3060 to 3070, you will very very rarely find situations where the laptop will struggle - this is easily one of the most competitive price/spec laptops on the market as of right now

    I have also legion 5 ryzen 7 5800H RTX 3060 with 300W charger. as you are saying it will consume 300W full electric to achieve its full performance. Now my question is if i am using this laptop just for my normal work like coding, browsing etc and if i plugedin the charger then how much watt it will consume.???

      Hi, Below are some approximate reading taken from wall socket monitor.
      Windows 11 Booting - 55W
      Windows logged in and idle - 19W
      Chrome browser loading a page - 30W to 50W
      Chrome browser idle with 5 tabs - 20W
      Chrome - youtube - normal - 50W
      Chrome - youtube - 2K 60fps full screen - 50W
      Word & excel open - 20W
      4GB File copy - 60W
      4K 30FPS MP4 video playback - vlc - 27W

      @@MADWalker can u please tell the exact?? As u have told alot of watt... What will be the overall watt any idea?

    • @MADWalker
      @MADWalker  Год назад

      When I tried all the scenarios mentioned in my previous reply and got almost exactly the same readings.
      Overall watts is not constant. Laptop will utilise the power for what it needs. Even if adaptor is 300 watts, if laptop needs 50W to process something, then it will be 50W only.
      Maximum watts is required only when CPU, iGPU, dGPU, and other components works at 100%.
