If you double clutch you are allowing gears to mesh together using the engine speed and not relying on synchros to synchronize gears. Therefore there is no wear on the gear box.
That style of rim are called "Sunrises" or "Sunraises". Very popular in Australia for 4wd and trailers, I'm pretty sure its what the Brumbys come with from factory too.
Hey man I had to lol at 100 hp, if I had the ea81 like my 84 it’s making in the 60s I was wanna say which should explain the fact tha it can get over 80mph with a tailwind. If it’s a ej20 like I hope it is you’re sitting around 120 hp and compressing lots of fuel with the help of a computer and fuel injection and in that case I’m quite envious
Does your gearstick have slap in it? in mine the bushes are gone so its like its always in neutral even in gears hahaha, ive got a bush kit comin in the mail this week though, synchros are still good as new
Whats wrong with it being fwd when not in awd? From my experience fwd handle very well offroad especially with a ute that has very little weight in the back to give the rear wheels traction.

When I learned to drive (in an '84 touring wagon) I was told you don't go into 1st until you're stopped lol .
Awesome brumby, mate.

My brother is just finishing up his Brumby with an EJ20 turbo which is AWD. I can make a vid on that to make you feel less disappointed
@@mintogarage1169 I would love that, although I'm permanently scarred.
