    LGG offering different foams would truly be an Artisan-killing move. I prefer the slightly thicker and firmer original Venus, but the poron base and stitching of the Pro keep me from going back.

    I contacted them with some questions regarding these and they got back to me quickly. It seems like Canadian retailers are giving them a hard time (or just not replying), so the only way for me to get one is to order from them directly.... and that'd be $60 in shipping + import fees, which is a no-go. Hopefully they'll eventually get something sorted out.

    I picked up the Venus Pro last week and man is it crazy good. My box had a bright orange “DO NOT BEND” and UPS put a small bend in it. I contacted Lethal Gaming Gear and got a reply within an hour and offered a replacement or refund if my crease didn’t go away after 48 hours. It was gone after 6 hours of being on my desk. Very happy and will purchase again. I think I would’ve preferred the Saturn Pro since I’m running the finalmouse tenz with glass skates, she glides a bit too good. Nothing aimlabs can’t fix with time. But for how fast and easy it was to get it to Canada was impressive.

    I spoke with Lethal, they told me if interest shows they'll produce 1000mmx500mm deskpad sized pro versions. Packaging is an obstacle they face, pricing would be around 120, but maaaaaan that would be so sick....

    Just got my Saturn pro pad in red and love it. Took my arm a couple of hours to get used to the stitching on the edge but now I don't even notice it. The stitching on my pad also has a few spots where the thread is micro fraying but I don't think it'll be an issue in the long term so that's a very minor point.
    My pad also didn't have a major chemical stink that some people seem to complain about. Smelt kind of tennis bally out of the box for a few hours but it's pretty much odorless now.
    Lastly, I ordered an artisan pad almost two months ago and it still hasn't even been shipped due to them seemingly having material shortages and worker issues over the last month. While I don't think LGG themselves will be the artisan killer, artisan really did shoot themselves in the foot by cutting ties with LGG and in turn losing easy NA distribution and customer service.

    I have Hayate Otsu X-soft and recently got the Venus Pro. My Venus Pro actually felt softer and stuck better to my desk (Otsu I'd often have to wipe the surface with a damp cloth first to make it stick) and they both feel amazing, but I prefer the Venus Pro b/c the size difference between their largest sizes. I rest my arm on my desk when aiming so with the Otsu I had to set my mousepad higher up on my desk with the bottom half of my arm just resting on the desk itself, but with the Venus Pro the pad can go all the way down to the edge of my desk and I STILL have more vertical room to maneuver than with the Otsu.
    Their stitching is still very different though imo, since it feels like the stitching on the Otsu is lower than the surface so you never feel it, but you can still kind of feel the stitching on the Venus Pro since its just flush with the surface rather than below it.

    I was a bit disappointed with the Saturn Pro because I expected it to be a better Zero but it's not. Don't get me wrong, it does have Artisan-like quality, no hair problem and I can even use my arm sleeve without having to invert it but the surface is quite different. The Zero Soft has an almost rough texture which can help with flicking as it can be used as a reference point by your fingers/mouse feet when you swipe over the pad. The Saturn Pro's surface is super smooth and more comparable to the IKEA pad imo. Still, it's a fantastic pad that I would describe as an Artisan alternative but not killer as they are not trying to replicate already existing pads from Artisan.

Because even with Tiger ICE, the Mercury feels perfect. I thought that the Mercury would be faster, but its actually pretty balanced in my opinion. I use extremely high sensitivity, so I want a mouse pad with as low initial friction as possible, while having as high dynamic friction as possible. Basically, I want the glide to feel like oil/mud while not being sticky. However, in general, high dynamic friction would need thick pad which could become inconsistent or wear out easily, so the Saturn or Saturn Pro sounds like a good overall compromise. Saturn for possibly more dynamic friction, or Saturn pro if it's potentially more consistent or durable, but who knows. If it wasn't boardzy then someone else was going to point out the comparisons between the saturn and the artisan pads anyway. Honestly, I'd say you did them a favor by giving them the push in notoriety so that they could go on a full all-out war vs Artisan. We need this competition so that companies like Artisan aren't just sitting pretty on their throne of premium mouse pads. Regular consumers don't got no time to deal with arrogance from those kinds of people anyway. (in my opinion)

      do u prefer zero or saturn,and hayate otsu or venus?

    • @musicah8496
      @musicah8496 Год назад +1

      @@josegallosogil5427 I would say the Saturn pro over zero just because it's a little bigger than the zero but the difference is seriously negligible just like what boardzy mentions. Availability is also a big factor as both Saturn pro and Venus pro are available right now. Between the otsu and the Venus pro, I'm not sure how everyone else feels but I have a little more control on the Venus pro and it feels a little rougher (a little more textured than the otsu) which is probably the reason. I think the Venus has a little more stopping power than the otsu and No, it won't scratch your hands. The two main things they differ on is the stitching quality. I think artisan's edge stitching is just a little better but again, the difference is negligible. It's like comparing a stitching that is 10/10 and the other is 9/10. The other difference is the thickness of the pad. The artisan pad is just a little thicker than the lgg pad but that doesn't affect me at all. I really don't notice it when using it in game. With all that said, you won't regret getting any of these choices. Pick the one most available/cheapest and you'll be happy. They are like clones of each other

    • @musicah8496
      @musicah8496 Год назад

      @@josegallosogil5427 btw, I have all of them so I think I have a decent idea. Just pull the trigger on whatever makes you happy. the lgg mouse pads can be had at 500x500 which is a tad bit bigger than the xl versions of any artisan mousepad and the artisan mousepads are just a tiny bit thicker. So if you grip your mouse like a mofo and push it down, then lgg might be better. Either Way, like I said, you can't go wrong with any of these choices. They are all top tier shit
