    I'm so sad the he and Vinnie never got to truly reconcile their differences. R.I.P Vinnie Paul

    • @ighfee
      @ighfee 2 года назад +9

      It is sad, yeah. Phil tried to reach out but Vinnie wouldn't have it.
      Then again, us Pantera fans don't really know what happened and what was said. Rex talked about it a bit in his bio, but there are four sides to this story.
      And this may sound harsh, but I'm surprised Vinnie lasted as long as he did. He would drink, smoke and snort anything available, not to mention he was quite overweight for most of his life. Vinnie also said Darrell probably wouldn't have lived to be 40 either, with all the drinking he did.
      That said, Pantera will always live on, whilst is fans continue to remember them and crank their music at 11 🤘🤘

      He is possibly the greatest metal vocalist of all time. He could go from the 80's wails like on Shattered to a great voice like Cemetery Gates to high screams and deep growls like on Strength Beyond Strength and Suicide Note pt. II. He was fantastic, regardless of this what people say about his character. He is already in the conversation as the greatest, but he might take that top spot.

    Phil is nothin but a sweetheart whenever I met the dude. He actually makes you feel like your part of the conversation is valuable. Much like Robert Englund, I had to end the conversation so others could go on after me.
    Poor dude just has a poor filter and like a lot of us, has said an off color joke at the wrong time.
    Big friggin whoop. He has made his amends, let the dude move on.

      ROOKTABULA last I checked he wasn't rallying for the death of Dimebag, it was an offhand remark he said out of spite due to what Dime had said to him on the phone.
      last I checked the guy who killed him was also insane, and all the sane people in the crowd were just having a good time.
      last I checked people are held accountable for their actions, and when responsibility fell on Phil he realised what he said was wrong and still hurts himself about it to this day.

      Oh jeez. He said he felt like someone needed to kick Dime's ass sometimes. People who spend a lot of time together get pissed at eachother sometimes. Vinnie just took it too far. I understand he was emotional at the time, but he blamed Dime's death on Phil and everyone ran with it.

      Vinnie Paul was asked on Rover's Morning Glory on his relationship with Phil Anselmo - with whom he hasn't spoken since 2003 - to which he replied (via Blabbermouth):
      "I'm beyond Pantera. I've done so many other things with my life since then.
      "And I always believe if you live in the past, you have no future. So, man, I'm happy doing what I do with Hellyeah, and I'm gonna leave it at that."
      After the host asked if we can safely assume that that there are no circumstances under which all the surviving members of Pantera would ever get back together, Vinnie replied:
      "That's a pretty damn good assumption. Yeah, man. [Laughs]"

    So sad. Pantera, when going strong, was just so full of life and the enjoyment of living. Now that all of this has happened. I know it's been years, since Dimes death, but it still saddens me what happened to Pantera. They made me, and millions of people happy. Such a tragic end to such an incredible band and group of people.

      Billo1281 actually what caused Phil and Vinnie's fight?

    • @Billo1281
      @Billo1281 6 лет назад +1

      A Cat Called Miaw Phillip was high on drugs at that point and says he was going through a back injury for years, in which this was true, But he was still touring with SuperJointRitual and saying some dumb stuff about how Dime needed a beating, and just silly stuff like that, and the media blew it up into proportions that it didn't need to be at! There was never any altercation, from what I know publicly, And it tore the band apart... I honesty just think they needed a break from each other back then. Then, when Dime died, the blame immediately went to Phil. And the rest is history. And like I said, it truly is a shame what happened to them. They were truly a monster of good spirit summed up into 4 dudes that played some of the best metal heard in the 90's and beyond. I sorely miss them till' this day...

      @@Billo1281 Not to mention they were very upset waiting around for Phil, Phil fucked up for sure - made alot of shows and times very uncomfortable for everyone cuz hed get really violently angry on his meds and drugs in the end, you either got 100% Bad MF ready to go or Phil with issues breaking down on stage causing problems in the crowd making them fight and shit. But it wasnt his fault Dime died, they had a right to be upset with him but that could all be hashed out, but like you said when Dime died it immediately was fuck Phil its his fault. Phil loved those 2 brothers man, i feel for him. He fucked up but it is not his fault Dime died, still saddens me as a Texas boy too, i always and still do look up to Pantera, the whole end of Pantera is such a fucking tragedy man, hurts my soul. • @nickkorte
      @nickkorte 7 лет назад +10

      Sure he didn't kill Dimebag. But if I was Vinnie I would hate Phil forever as well. The way I see it Vinnie and Dime did everything to keep the band together. And Dime having to tread lightly around Phil when he was in the room is fucked up. If anyone Phil should of treaded lightly around Dime. Either way if Phil didn't leave the band he'd most likely be alive. Still no one's to blame but the piece of shit who killed Dime.

    • @Guanjyn
      @Guanjyn 7 лет назад +13

      You can't live your life in fear of what others might do if you make a certain choice. There was no way Phil could have known that piece of shit would have gotten up on stage and did what he did. I agree Vinnie has a right to be angry at Phil, but it's not a hate worthy of being kept forever.

    • @MrEvergreenLayne
      @MrEvergreenLayne 7 лет назад +10

      After Dime's death Vinnie wanted a target to lash out at in anger. He wanted to blame somebody for this and the incident magnified already bitter feelings towards Phil into all out anger and outright blame for Dime's death.
      Anger is one of the stages of grief and Vinnie seems stuck there. He needs to move on. We all believe Dime would've wanted that way.

      SINISTER MOB a few weeks prior to Dimes death Phil said in an interview that the Abbot brothers deserve to be beaten severely or something to that nature. Can’t really blame Vinnie for not wanting to forgive. May he Rest In Peace now though
