How to make sure Conjugate SUCKS for Raw Powerlifting

    Dude this is so perfect! Many people especially these elitist raw powerlifter think that conjugate can’t work for raw. Everything has to be minimalist super specific squat bench and deadlift year round because that’s what is specific to raw powerlifting. Your point about not doing crazy stupid lifts is so spot on. People doing high quarter box squats with 3 reverse bands because they can lift 250 pounds over there raw squat then wonder why they fold as soon as you get into the hole. You should be doing a below parallel box squat and yes it’s really hard and it sucks but that’s what’s specific to raw powerlifting in the context of conjugate. I know conjugate has it pitfalls but as long as you have 2 brain cells and can plan and periodize appropriately then you’ll good. I much rather sacrifice super specific minimalist work which WILL lead to injuries and setbacks and walls and do conjugate which is a bit harder and slower but ultimately better in the long run.     People tell me I need to use bands AND chains so I use the lightened method with chains. It's brought my bench from 100 kilos to 220 lbs in only six months!

    It does work for raw lifters aswel louie simmons use to have 600 plus pound raw bench pressers

    Good video! Conjugate isn't magic, and all good training has some general rules it should abide by. Conjugate shouldn't be an arms race to heaviest quintuple band variations

    Yea man ive really been tryin to lock in on speed work and also really pushing my accessories up and going to failure.. how close to failure are you on accesorries? I know my coach says stimulate dont anialate.. Also i swear everything i do is weak point and stuff i suck at

      I like lifters to end up as close to muscular failure (while maintaining technique) as possible on MOST accessories. I don't want lifters extending a set by cheating away from the desired intent.
