- Understanding visual weight in landscape will transform your photos and make your compositions feel much more balanced and pleasing as a result. It's something that takes time to master, it requires a lot of trips out with your camera but in this video I share some tips that I implement on every shoot that should help get you going!

Awesome video about a topic a lot of photographers just don't know or understand. It's a shame there aren't more academics talking about this (subject) topic of visual weight in composition. Mostly nowadays, because of the algorithm, we are embedded with the notion that it has to be symmetrical or live precisely on a third for it to be good. A lot of amateurs now days judge an image's composition by whether the subject sits exactly on a third. There is SO much more to composition.

Ogwen Valley and the Afon Lleor location is the best place and view in the area... i have shot there many times and many videos as well.. love to meet up if your ever around..
