I was going to be that guy, but then I realized that it's sold as if it was the YF-23 rather than the NATF so Aaron is still technically correct (the best kind of correct)
Getting into VR and flight simulators is like diving into an entirely different ocean of gaming. This is so much more advanced and difficult to navigate than standard pc gaming or even modding like Skyrim or something. Steamvr, Virtual Desktop, codecs, runtimes, resolutions and making sure you're not scaling through 2+ sources at the same time. Such a pain. Then you have keybinds, graphics settings, how to even just start a plane and takeoff. RUclipsrs like you have and continue to help me so much. Videos like this show me the intricacies of MSFS that i have no reason to know yet. There's no guides on what to look for when buying models off the market, but this shows me a lot of what NOT to buy! I appreciate all of you guys providing these guides. Eventually it'll all make sense lol
Regarding the YF-23, I'm waiting for the Top Mach Studios YF-23 to be done, their F-22 is a priceless gem and I have nothing but high hopes and expectations for their YF-23 for MSFS2020. As others have pointed out the MSCENERY YF-23 is meant to be the NATF-23 (a plane that doesn't really have a proper design beyond basic blueprints), which is also, a model they bought from Sketchfab, which is what every other model of theirs probably is.
Fun fact, the 4simmers airliners are some of the highest grossing aircraft in the marketplace because of price to product category. Microsoft's marketplace team even spoke to developers on stage during FSE2024 to tell them the money is at doing airliners at the 15 USD range. Obv that's not realistic for any dev team unless they're intentionally not putting in effort. Just goes to show how many tube liner boys exist in this sim and can't resist hot garb. 😅
you might be underestimating the scale. According to steamcharts xplane peaks at 800 players, dcs world at 1500 and MSFS at over 10k. Yes, both xplane and dcs have their own launcher ... but so does msfs. So the question is - do you want to sell a 1k copies to hardcore simmers for $60 or 5k copies to HC simmers AND casuals for $20? I think the issue is the old school developers just don't want to risk changing their tried and tested business model.
The Mscenery "YF-23" is the proposed-but-never-built Navy version of the Northrop ATF contender. I'm pretty sure that if it was ever really built, it wouldn't have used a Russian K36 ejection seat. If you want a 'real' YF-23A for MSFS, keep an eye on Top Mach Studios...
Horizon Sim has a free 787-9 that is better than the 4Simmers one. It requires the 787-10 also, but it's pretty solid. The 787-8 you were thinking of is probably the Kuro which is also free.
Hi Aaron I’ve encountered a bug with black screens in my A320neo as I’ve saw this happen to u is there an explanation or fix to help me nice video anyways
Being a crew chief of apache helicopters in real life.... I've been wanting to fly one in flight sim for fun since the game released...... and the only one that's ever appeared was an MSCENERY one..... and everytime I see it..... it annoys me....... I learned my lesson quite quick after buying their B-52 thinking it'd be awesome
Argh yes... those days on SimMarket where you spend more time reading reviews and looking at photos than you do actually doing any flying because you know 75% of the planes will be shit. Those were the days lol
Sadly that NATF (not YF-23) is, I think based on Adam Burch's (RIP) of Hangar B productions. They did his work a complete disservice with how they butchered it.
I am playing this game with keyboard and when I am pressing number key to roll the plane after releasing key the ailerons are not coming back to neutral it's keep rotating and crashing. How to solve it
how Asobo and MS have not banned MScenery from the Sim Market Place is beyond me. Because they literally stated they have to pass a certain standard to even get into the market. I got his B52 to break MACH while in a 25 Nose UP climb!!!
That's my biggest issue with these airplanes, the price. $5.00 alright... $10.00 if its really good maybe... $20.00 no, whole games used to cost this much! $30.00 are you on drugs? $30 can buy so many more things I would rather buy, than a virtual airplane on a game that will one day die, and prices this high are only this high because people are stupid enough to pay the prices.
Why dont you like the 787-10 if i may ask, i find that when they updated it they really did great, probably my favourite plane to fly, I Also love all the advanced systems haha, but a version with every button working would be my dream
Hate to be that guy but the YF-23 is modelled after the NATF-23 which was proposed for the navy after it lost to the F-22 for the airforce
I was about to comment that! 😂

11:46 That's the NATF-23 Sea Widow, not a YF-23. It's the naval equivalent. Like the F-35A and the F-35C.
It's sold on the store as the YF-23, so he's still correct. It's sold as such, so that is what it should be.
