Turnips and beets are root vegetables, kohlrabi is part of the cabbage family, and the bulb grows above the soil. Root vegetables are not considered good hydroponic plants.

Thank you for the comments about how you cook with it. I remember my mother always growing it, but not how she prepared it. You mentioned HypoGrow. Does it affect your pH ? I think it might be a good fit in our ebb and flow system.

so there is no presure tank. we are just feeding the system from the water supply. I think the water pressure is set to around 30

No, it doesn't affect PH. I really like the product.
