Wow this is some more amazing footage and interviews! I was one of the Special FX artists on this movie too, I helped create all of the armor, missiles, and weapons for the penguin army! And I saw my buddy Jim Towler, who I work with at Walt Disney Imagineering, in this video a bunch! He did some of the miniatures too! This is great footage, so fun to see! Thank you for sharing this! Cheers😄👍

Tim Burton's use of Gotham as an atmospheric & dramatic backdrop was fantastic &inspired. No other director of any Batman movie seems to have considered this idea at all , simply using downtown Toronto or Vancouver as a half thought out lackluster Gotham. Gotham's oppressive nature is responsible for the existence of Batman in the first place , & Tim Burton should be remembered for making the city itself a character in his movie.

These clips are fantastic! I enjoy model making and the practical special effects field .

After watching a bunch of these amazing clips, I’m starting to think that very little of most movies *isn’t* done with miniatures. The environmental city- and landscapes are just incredible. And I had no idea how extensively they were implemented for scenes I just assumed were actual locations somewhere. Very cool.

You all did great work. I had no idea what, if anything was of miniature design.

Isn't it amazing to know something you made is now a part of someone's childhood memories?

And so the inspiration continues from generation to generation. Except now, with CGI, not so much... maybe these videos will inspire some younger filmmakers to use practical work.

The claws shot looks fantastic. He seems like a nice guy, but wow that is quite alternative thinking.

The still around 2:57 of the beauty contestant, is one of the most wickedly clever vfx shots ever done. No projection or blue screen or digital. They just rolled her down a track towards a model and blew wind on her hair. But it's just great looking.

I was 10 years old when I saw this is the theater. Amazing movie. Awesome to see that narrow batmobile. Michelle Pfeiffer will always be the best cat woman.

If I had a casting of Michelle pfifers hand, making claws for it, wouldn’t be my first thought ;) hehe

I introduced my kiddo the Batman series, starting with the Tim Burton series. He loves this video of the models. Thanks for the content; please keep the videos coming. I love to see those who craft a world & build the realism through the models created, used, and sometime destroyed for the magic of movie making. Thank you for the videos.
