This video seems well made, and I appreciate it and all. I am really just a curious non-parent. But the fact that this video is basically giving low-level nurse training to parents, for what to do in the days IMMEDIATELY following surgery is really disturbing. I can't imagine the stress of having such a major surgery done on your child and having him come home right away, instead of getting professional care at the hospital. That seems crazy to me.

Hi Dr. I wanted to ask you something. I'm 42 years of age and I just had a surgery done on the 7th July (23 days ago) I had a Arveolar oronasal fistula closure and a lip revision. And I notice my lip now is like pulling up from the new scar, is it normal to for the lip to pull up through the new scar now that the scar is healing? And with time it will come back down again? Or that's the way it's going to stay? I'm also still swollen right under my nostril, where the bone graft was done, is the swelling also pulling up my lip? Sorry for so many questions, and a million thanks in advance 😊🙏

@@le4689 well since im 13 i haven't had the surgery that will make me look "normal" but after i had the first surgery when i was a 5 or 6 month old it did effect my voice as of right now

You can feed your baby everything like normal babies but food should be grinded. My baby is also a cleft palate and he is 6 and half month.
