This product is definitely a game changer! What project would you use it on? If you'd like to see what it looks like on a finished project you can see a bag I made using it here: ruclips.net/video/cL5T1QjJ8Vo/видео.html
Looks like a great product, wet wipes could be a good way to clean that card before it dries on, maybe?? Hope we get to see what you make all of the pieces into. Great video, thanks
I just used this product to make the exterior of a wallet. While I love how it coated the fabric and how easy it was to do but I found it more difficult to sew. Do you use a teflon or roller foot when sewing coated fabrics? Going forward I plan on using this to waterproof toiletry bag lining fabrics.
Great idea! Yes you def need a walking foot or Teflon foot but failing that try using tissue paper on top of your project- that’s also helpful. Good luck. I would love to see how you get on- please tag @studio7t7 on socials or join the Facebook group (sew create and craft) and post your project. Many thanks for your comment
I have seen others use a paint brush, is there an advantage to using the card instead? They also say to cut your pieces larger than needed because there will be some shrinkage, have you found that to be true?
Would it be helpful to have two plastic covered work stations? One to apply the Odicoat, then after the coat is applied a second surface to lay the piece on for drying. Would the treated fabric be easier to pick up once the glue has dried?
Hi Carrie, I think one is fine- you have to leave it between coats anyway so not sure a second would be advantageous. I’m not sure it’s easier to pick up as it sticks a bit to the plastic work station but if you pick it up wet you could very easily get finger prints in the odicoat which would show. Hope that helps
I put a teflon sheet on to protect between. I would be careful and use a wool setting. You’ll need to try a small area and see how you go. Def with a teflon sheet though
I tried with wool setting and I dont have teflon sheet so i used parchment paper and it still a little sticky,it actually sticks a little to the other fabric when i put one on another…I don’t know if that’s normal or there something wrong with odicoat

Buongiorno
Può essere usato anche su un foglio di carta?
Hmm I’m not sure- I don’t think it would be as water resistant but do give it a go and report back!
This is awesome!
Thanks so much I’m so glad it was helpful 😎
Would this keep the fabric texture or make it more of a glossy feel/look?
It does change the texture yes. It isn’t super smooth but gives it a glossy look and slightly thicker too.

A paint brush is likely to leave brush marks where a card won’t.
I haven’t found that to be true so far but maybe I’ve been lucky or not noticed 🙈

do you think i could turn a paper collage into a water proof fabric that i could sew on clothes with this technic
Possibly! Great idea. I would def do some tests
Excellent............. so good in fact I shared it to Reddit, + a thumbs up too ;-)
Thanks so much 🥇
Which Reddit did you share it to? 😁
@@Studio7t7 Just YT startups........... as I am not a member of more relevant subreddits.
@@KnottingKnots thank you 😊
Can I put it on the other side?
I don’t see why not!
On what temperature you set iron? I set it on silk and it’s still sticky a little
