It exists because everyone doesn’t want a three row vehicle.

They could have just released it as a cx90 2 row trim

People like to complain about the cupholders in the back but then the Subaru Ascent has 19 cupholders.

It exists because Mazda was too cheap to bring the CX-60 to the U.S. So they just took the CX-90, ripped the 3rd row out, put some lipstick on it, and called it a day.

That could be true, but why invest so much on something no one wants?
They have done their research and have come to the conclusion that this was the vehicle Americans want. Time will tell how well it does.

@@GTGarageTalk I think you are right, they determined that the U.S. market wants the larger car. It's just not what I wanted. But you're going to need to turn in your Internet card for being reasonable instead of outraged.

Honda did the same thing with the passport. Get over it

The passport is a different body. This one is the same.

@GTGarageTalk 2020 where the same. The passport was a little shorter with no 3rd row. Now they are different because of the pilot redesign, but when the passport and the ridgeline, they redesign it will be the same as the pilot

They’ve tried to say it’s for empty nesters who want more cargo space for buying antique furniture at the weekend sales! It’s a mistake. Need to be 5-6” smaller and we don’t need 21” 🛞 . 😂

What Mazda says makes no sense because you have identical cargo specs with the 90 third row folded. You get the 70 if you must have a high end cx and and need only 5 seats in a bench format for the second row.
