My grandmother taught me Van is the greatest Celtic musician to ever have lived. The man is a literal demon. Walks off before the song is even done. It's called an Irish goodbye
His band directing from the right shoulder to the right elbow, from minute 6 on, melts my heart. I'm just crazy about all his incarnations and bands and the mutual reverence he and his fellow performers have for one another.
The ultimate serious and focused musician who will continue unimpeded for the next 43years generating mega meaningful and prolific works. The giant in music ladies and gentleman and young teens and children, Sir Van Morrison.
I just saw him at Forrest hills and he let the band take crazy indulgent Solos for like 20 minutes after he left the stage. For a guy known for having ego issues, I'm always impressed with the reciprocity of reverence he holds for his band. It was frigging amazing.
He had been living in the states for a while by now. Still goes between Belfast and American depending who he’s speaking to. That’s normal for people. Your accents mirrors who you’re speaking to regularly

I hadn’t seen this before tonight. Amazing! Beautiful! Moving! I don’t have the words to express how much I enjoyed this particular performance.
That is what I call classic.
It's great that he lets the background songers sing acapella and introduces them. Van has class.
