At the beginning I was against playing it so fast. But endly I found this peformance as very interesting. First time Tres gravement sounds more like dance-style than choral-style. And third part has complete diffrent coulor than I used to hear before. Very nice experiment.
Because of its beauty and complexity, for me I feel Bach did not intend thi piece to be a virtuoso demonstration. Simon plays this piece accurately but so fast that in the denser places it becomes a jumble of notes. The ending is a gabble of sound rather than a thoughtful conclusion.

He recorded the album on different organs. This maybe the Kreuzbergkirche in Bonn. He also used Lubeck Cathedral. St John's in Smith Square, London. Abbey Church in Denmark. St Peter - Waltdop nr Dortmund
