    I was in rehab when i found out Keith had died. I was absolutely devastated. I've never felt that way about a celebrity before. He was the voice of my youth.

    I was at Keiths funeral procession ending up in Bocking where the local police just shut the roads down and let us all rave in the road. The morning of the funeral i drove around town blaring The Prodigy and seeing everyone turn up from all around the world. That day i met people from Poland, Russia, Australia and more all there to celebrate a great mans life. I'm from The Prodigys hometown Braintree in Essex and often used to see the guys about town. One night i even raced across town me in my Astra GTE with Keith following in his bright yellow TVR! I LOVED The Prodigy being a local group and putting out such incredible music. They formed a massive part of my life throughout the 90s, even seeing them live a couple of times back then. Great times, great memories!

    Keith Flint was the modern Johnny Rotten. (I was a punk back in 78) And if you listen close to God save the Queen where Rotten sings 'Nooooo Fuuuuture' in the end, Keiths' 'Come Play my game' in Breath is the same melody line... I saw many bands due to my job in the music industry. But only few bands had the power and dynamics of the Prodigy. And yes, At some festival in 96, I ended up backstage in the dressing room with the band... Nuf said. ;-)

      Very true. I was a working musician for a lot of years and battled with addiction. Nothing compares to the high you get when performing and we chase that feeling other ways and it can get very dark and lonely. I had to leave that life behind before it killed me and I'm 6 years clean and sober now. It's a shame that Keith had to go out the way he did.

    Seemd like a daft kid, that through thhe nature of his job did far too much drugs, and never grew up. Most people did a few pills and coke etc back in the rave days, then moved on. These guys didnt, and seems like he burned himself out. Sad as he seemed like a nice enough bloke. RIP.

    • @Mosel66
      @Mosel66 3 месяца назад

      He was 49 so hardly a daft kid, this video only gives a glimpse of his fast life, nothing said of his peaceful adult life beyond the stage, like no mention of his marriage, his demons, towards the end he had split with Mayumi Kai love of his life, he was wanting her to come back to him and she wasn't having it, forcing the sale on the house which broke him to pieces, he was very depressed as any bloke would be in love, he had stalled sale of the house in hope of her returning, wasn't the burned himself out, as for money he was making it, even had a solo project on his own, poor guy was going through a dark time and needed help, geez for days before his death he was out training for a charity marathon race, how adult is that.
