So great. Love your renditions. Would love to see you play this without singing so i could learn it as a first banjo song. All the best from the Belgian flatlands
@@peti8299 Thank you! I will record a banjo only version. This might be a difficult song to start with, but it could be fun to try. I would recommend watching some of Clifton Hicks's tutorial videos if you are starting trying to learn, he has a great RUclips channel.
I thought that was the flag of Lebanon before I realized it's the flag of New England! Also fine work as usual. This is my first time hearing this song outside a distinctly Irish style.
@@MrPolklop Thank you! I'm New England born and bred; don't know much about Lebanon but I do know that they have a similar flag. I'd highly recommend Kendall Morse's album "Lights Along the Shore" for an old New Englander's take on a variety of American, Irish, and English folk songs. He was well known as a storyteller and humorist as well, had a show in the 70s called "In the Kitchen."
Real good picking.
Great music!

My father used to sing this to me when I was a nipper. (my song, my name) You sang it a lot better than he ever did though! (sorry Dad!)🤣🤣🤣
