2 months into trading...about 2 weeks ago, I told myself, I will never scalp again. Now I’m doing 4hr trades. So this 27 pairs on the 1 Day chart has gotten my attention.

Not sure if VP will read this but I used to trade only 8 major pairs even when I switched to the Daily for good. It's because I had thought that it would be easier for me to manage only 8 concurrent trades at one time so I chose the most popular and liquid pairs I could discern. VP's advice to trade all 27 pairs of the majors made me realise one thing and it has to do with not being too fixated on only a few trades. Of course, you should definitely pay very close attention to your trades; I'm not saying it made me less detail-oriented. Trading as many as 27 pairs made me look at this as a commodity business and took even more of my EMOTIONS out of the whole thing. It made me look at it with a broader, wider view and manage my trades better, and not be fixated on the dollars and earnings. VP, if you do read this, thanks forever from KL, Malaysia. Hey guys. Whats up? My name is Tony and I am a novice at all of this. I have been listening to VP for couple days now. The information has been so so informative and delivered in away for me to understand I am very excited about what VP is doing and look forward to putting this into action. Lets do this.
I listed to this podcast a few weeks ago and just "rediscovered" it while going through the list on the site. It dredged up a few past conversations, specifically with a nod to the statements that VP said. "Imma gonna trade one pair until I get good." Or, "This pair sucks ass...I'm gonna hold off for a bit and come back to it when looks better". I heard these all the time. But, I think the one I hear the most is about only trading the "majors". You know, the ones that the BIG BANKS like to diddle with and crush your grove. I'll admit, I followed the crowd and had those 8 pairs as one of my profiles. Who doesn't like to hang with the popular kids, right? At some point, I started a love affair with the EURJPY, the GBPJPY and the GBPCHF awhile back and was very pleasantly surprised to learn that they were favorite children in these hallowed halls. Did well with those...better than I had with the majors in fact. I also use to subscribe to that nonsense about trading "exotics". OMG, no! The spread, the volatility, the insanity! Actually, not really. In fact, if you just zoom out on the chart, they usually paint a prettier picture...mostly because nobody really tools around with them and most news just gets somewhat of a "meh" reaction. Gotta stop listening to morons. Frankly, I'm thrilled to have 28 pairs (the EURCHF is back in town, I believe) to fawn over and there may be a couple more on the horizon soon. PLENTY to keep an ambitious guy or gal busy for, oh say...30 minutes a day. Don't be a derp and leave opportunity knocking at the door all pissed off. Go get it.

Actually I start with 30. After I cut to 27. I work with 27. And later y see some of them are the same. Moving the same way. So y start to eliminate my doubles. Finally y work with 18. All different. I want to trade as many as possible. All 28 or what the number is. However I have given GBPNZD the boot. Too wide spread at 22:00 UTC. Increased from 5 pips or so to around 25. An open trade will stop me out 9 out of 10 times then.

I kinda know my answer , do I start my trade at 23:40 if so....why do you Insist everyone should get as close to your daily time frame around the world? 13:40 PST better for world trading? Second Question (I know you hate) does Oanda have 2hr ahead start on where the actual fx market will go for their UK customers? Possible manipulation? As the daily close should be 22:00. Im using trading 212 I think its quite good idk if ill use it long on a live account certainly will for a bit. Simple set up, very eary for beginners to understand. If you choose to use this make sure u swap the leverage from 1:500 to 1:30 as u would never get 1:500 on a live account idk why they set that as the default

This comment is for "best time frame" video. There's no comments allowed on it so i'll post it here I guess. It was interesting when you said the 1D is the best because I have been working with machine learning the past few months and applying it to EUR/USD (after watching some of your videos I may switch to a less popular pair) anyway I tried training neural networks using 2000 various settings. One of the parameters was chart resolution, and most of the smaller candle sizes had really sketchy results. It would make you think it was learning then just drop to like 40% accuracy randomly. The 1-day size showed some crazy results though. Sometimes upwards of 70% accuracy. This was just predicting whether the price will be higher or lower in 24h (next candle) so it wasn't complex like money management etc. Just price direction prediction. Even for that the results were insane. So you're definitely not just making shit up. There have been a few different things you said which matched up with my findings over the past couple years.
I like your vids and what you have to say but if you risk 2% on each trade and have 4 to 5 positions open at a time, that's a pretty big hit on your account if they all go south. Do you recommend a smaller % for newer traders until they get used to a system? Because im sure your winning % is higher than most watching your videos, other wise you'd b watching our videos.
squideeee1 I would demo trade until you develop a system that generates 75%+ win rate and then just trust your system. I’m still doing this as we speak
Taylor Doom win rate only matters if your risk:reward ratio is low, if you only do 1:1 trades you need over 50% to profit but if it's 1:2 then you only need 33.3% win rate to break even, win rate isn't everything if your losers are bigger than your winners
Richard Evans A lot easier said than done. I’m still staying on demo until I get at least a 70% win rate. If you want to bank on 33.3% to each their own. Mine is just personal preference
Taylor Doom I'm not saying that I rely on being right 33.3% of the time, just that when you're dealing with probabilities there are many ways to come out on top, or not. But a solid 1:1 with 70% win rate is a nice edge to have. Good luck.
Question for anyone - what's the easiest way to handle 28 pairs on MT4? Only ways I know are one tab open then click & drag each pair onto the tab, or open 28 tabs with 1 pair each tab, or put all 28 pairs on a grid (if that's even possible) - is there a shortcut or easier solution?

what about over leveraging ?isn't trading the same currency dangerous ? Example eur/usd & eur/aud
Another reason people trade fewer pairs is some of them are related. For example if you lost on eur/aud you would probably lose on eur/cad as well.
he's not saying trade all 27 pairs at one time lol he scans thru 27 pairs to see which pairs work with his algorithm on a given day

Even for that the results were insane. So you're definitely not just making shit up. There have been a few different things you said which matched up with my findings over the past couple years.

Pretty sure he means they’re just on his watchlist. There’s not going to be a good entry on every single pair every single day.

I like your vids and what you have to say but if you risk 2% on each trade and have 4 to 5 positions open at a time, that's a pretty big hit on your account if they all go south. Do you recommend a smaller % for newer traders until they get used to a system? Because im sure your winning % is higher than most watching your videos, other wise you'd b watching our videos.
squideeee1 I would demo trade until you develop a system that generates 75%+ win rate and then just trust your system. I’m still doing this as we speak

Taylor Doom win rate only matters if your risk:reward ratio is low, if you only do 1:1 trades you need over 50% to profit but if it's 1:2 then you only need 33.3% win rate to break even, win rate isn't everything if your losers are bigger than your winners
Richard Evans A lot easier said than done. I’m still staying on demo until I get at least a 70% win rate. If you want to bank on 33.3% to each their own. Mine is just personal preference
Taylor Doom I'm not saying that I rely on being right 33.3% of the time, just that when you're dealing with probabilities there are many ways to come out on top, or not. But a solid 1:1 with 70% win rate is a nice edge to have. Good luck.

Question for anyone - what's the easiest way to handle 28 pairs on MT4? Only ways I know are one tab open then click & drag each pair onto the tab, or open 28 tabs with 1 pair each tab, or put all 28 pairs on a grid (if that's even possible) - is there a shortcut or easier solution?

One question about trading 27 pairs, do you take into account currency correlations? or does your algorithm? or is this one of those things baby pips taught that you say forget about it?
