No Nonsense Forex Hi VP! Are the indicators in MQL5 is just for MT5 users? If yes, which sites can we find good indicators for MT4?
VP, I have been eating this up and growing daily. I'm on my accounts and hitting the grind. My own indicator search has become more fruitful than ever and I am seeing how and why the market is moving in large and small. This is amazing and grips me more than my favorite hobbies have. Thank you for all you are doing for me and "us" out here.

@@zuyufullahmanna8554 You need to do exactly what VP says. Watch all the playlists from start to finish starting with Money Management and Trade Psychology first. Then watch the Technical Analysis playlist (from start to finish) and use the exact same indicators PV uses (except for the Dirty Dozen). This will at least get you started and you could begin performing your back and forward testing from there. As you go along, look up different indicators and set up different algos in MT4. For every Algo, create a different MT4 profile so that you can test multiple algos at once. Good luck.

I honestly just found you through a friend of mine. I have no knowledge of Forex except to buy and sell haha. anyways I am part of a company who said it'll teach me how to trade. The education part is shitty, not gonna lie. I wanted to learn so much from it but I had to keep marketing which made me feel so stressful. I was frantic to the point I had a nervous breakdown because I was being pushed to market and recruit. Most people I know there don't even know what SL or TP to use and they use the RSI. Thank god for this channel
I am new to all of this and don't know anything. I thought I would like to be a day trader because it is a much better life than behind the wheel of an 18 wheeler. All I could seem to get as far as education is broken up and they want you to pay for it. Forex is for me just because of you. For the first time I have enough information to put it together. Thank you so much.
6:20 As a programmer I can confirm most of my colleagues do not know how to trade. I am still trying to learn myself...because although software pays well it is taxing to have to keep work 50 hour weeks all year round.

If you are interested in trade psychology, this is the channel for you. Nobody else spends hardly any time on it at all. I wrote a book on it.

it's been 3 years, since my last time i go broke with Forex it's just bleed me out and i have to stop. I moved on doing a regular job, try to make living. But something inside me keep telling me and make me to look up for the right way in Forex. Yeah... i did come across from absolutely beginner or noobie to somewhere that i can tell that this or that guy are just a fancy GURU, which made me choose the wrong road, along with that hardest thing for me is that English is not my native one. Anyway after seeing your Dirty Dozen well i think i will have to get back on it with my most painful experience....... Because honestly i think you are by far different from those GURU out there.
I will try to catch up. because this is my first day watching your video.

I have gone through all the videos and podcasts up to this point, starting with the first one forward. There have already 2 gems of indicators that after back testing, already have improved my trading and could anyone else. Can't wait to find out the rest! Thanks..
My 2 cents for what it's worth. If you want to understand why Forex does what it does, watch his "Banks" video. It's eye-opening. If you want a better way to determine your SL, watch the ATR video. If you want to know how to journal effectively, watch the "Journal" video. They all have great value. However, unfortunately, if you want to learn to trade, you'll really have to go somewhere else. VP tells you what not to do, which tools don't work (in his opinion), but he won't tell anybody what the good tools are (with one exception). A truly novel approach. Teaching people what not to use, then telling them...here's a huge pile of garbage (10,000+ indicators), and somewhere in this huge pile of garbage are a few nice little nuggets and if you tweak these nuggets just right they will pay you handsomely. I won't tell you how to tweak them, or if they even need tweaking, but if you figure it out, you'll have a very effective toolbox to help you succeed. What a concept. Many of us are out here, stumbling along in the darkness, trying to find the right path. VP has the flashlight and can lead people to the path but really doesn't want to waste his batteries. Again, for what it's worth.
You are correct, I won't take 10 years of work and just hand all of my findings off to the masses. But I will take you away from the wrong path, and get you on the right path. That's worth a lot. The rest is actually gonna take some (Gasp!) work on your end.
And he also tells you to operate algorithmically through a series of true or false data. Do you know how many traders are out there losing money because they are going off of "feel" and not really thinking about what they're thinking about? Have you seen most videos where the video dude does a bunch of crazy shit with his mouse and makes it look easy through his personality but isn't breaking down the phenomenological reality of trading from moment to moment without knowing how the trade will actually work out? There's a lot of bullshit out there. One thing I openly disagree with VP on: TradingView is far superior to MetaTrader4.
@@Myagooshki the only thing is you don't have access to such a wide variety of indicators on trading view do you? Correct me if I'm wrong
I'm totally a "I-knew-it-guy". Several light bulbs went off throughout all the videos. I've thrown my old education and strategy out of the window because I'd much rather make a few decisions around 3 P.M as opposed to 50 decisions at 6-10 AM.

Played around with williams Awsome oscillator previously . Now have backtesting software to help . Let the work begin!

The problem I am facing is, there are no descriptions/guideline of the indicators. So it is really hard to know how the indicators work. Can you guys please guide me on this? Thanks
HOW WILL BRICS & CBDC'S AFFECT TRADING FOREX??
A trick that l used with some of the paid indicators is take the name of the paid indicator, copy and paste on a new google search window and goto google images and see if the same or similar indicator is on another website! I have found more than half of the paid indicators on a another site for free!

one question about the amount that i should trade on it in my acount, in meta trader 5 if my balance was like the demo account 10k usd when i do any order the order of goining long ro short is by euro, 0.05 is 5000 euro and i didnt get it

Sorry if this question is a little ridiculous, but I'm really confused. I can't figure out how to put downloaded indicators onto the platform. I use Oanda as my broker. When I go onto MT4 and try to create an account it always takes me to Forex.com. Do you use MT4 as a sub-account?
The link that's on the blog is for MT5 and not for MT4. ..a bit confuse now. because as I remember, you said that you are using MT4 for your algorithms.

Yeah I spotted this also, but on the blog: nononsenseforex.com/indicators/forex-trend-indicators/ VP says the following: "But seriously, everything we do will be done on MT4, so this is non negotiable if you want to follow this site."
Therefore, safe to say you can forget the mt5 indicators and count your blessings the list for mt4 is half as big :P

I came across your RUclips channel and thank God for stumbling across it. I have now started working on finding indicators based on what you told us to steer clear of and I have managed to screen through close to 2,000 indicators in a short period of time since most of them are under the dirty dozen or variations of the dirty dozen.
I saw a paid indicator called the Trend Rider from Tradeciety.com. I would love to test it out, just checking if you have tested that indicator before and if yes, what is the outcome?
I want an answer from an experienced trader, do elliot waves work in forex ?

No, some works pretty well..... Most doesn't, all my trades are based on indicators, my entry exit my SL... If indicators doesn't works for you, that doesn't mean everyone of them sucks..... If I payed attention to people like you I would have stopped trading, my search for best indicator ended few months back I was back testing and forward testing it , now am trading live account...

Hey VP i been smacking my head with this one. I'm not asking for the indicator but what are the qualities we should look for for a good entry indicator? you have spoken about the qualities of a good exit indicator on your money management video.
Love it; yeah, truth crusading to clean up the industry ..me it's not so much indis as burning bullshitters, I mean, who are you to lie to me with my money ..
I got no problem with the work; my problem is, knowing where to go/what/how to test, in case my edge starts dissipating..This isn’t like other jobs you can just pick up on your own ..ie. if you’re on the bank desk you can create your own strategy ..
..mm.. money mngt is critical; yeah; it is the most important b/cause w/out that you have no hope of success but , next I'd say is investment universe ..trendfollowing on a single mkt is suicidal ..

The only other guy I watch to get Forex info from is an Englishman who has been successfully trading for over 30+ yrs. He is on fxinfoonline. He follows alot of your ideas...BUT he does use Bollinger Bands. Please do a video soon showing us why this, in your opinion, this is a Bad Indicator. Thanks.
