It is a beautiful knife with an excellent fit and finish we have come to expect from Rosecraft. It makes a nice companion for the little Begg Knife Hawkbill. I think in 2024, $50-60 is the new normal for knives of this quality. Heck, everything else has gone up so I am not going to hold it against them. CASE!! take note, please!!
It's only March but It's a 2024 knife of the year candidate. Maybe we need to make up a physical award, a bucking donkey perhaps to hand out this year.
Im sitting here playing with mine as I watch your video! it really blew away all my expectations. I wanted a bone cover on this one but I am very Happy with it. Fit and finish is always incredible on these cause rosecraft actually does Quality Control, and look the knives over before selling. The spade is better executed on this compared to my RRs. It really is a perfect size, not too big and not too small. Though I still love the Cane creek cause I am a sucker for coke bottles!! Thanks for sharing TK! Very Glad Yah finally got a good one!
Got one of these and an appalachian Jack from HH here in the UK the other day. The jack for a user about the house n garden and the gunstock is a pretty one for the collection though the handle fits my hand really well. Keep up the good work TK
Thanks for sharing about this very pretty RCB knife, I like that they are stamping their name rather than printing it now. 👍Take care my friend and Cheers!
An absolute stunner TK . Recently got mine and to say I'm pleased is an understatement! Nice to see a different shield . If I'm seeing honest I 'm not a fan of the rose bud , it kinda seems indistinct. This is nitpicking, I know . They are fantastic quality and value . This takes my Rosecraft collection to 6 . Andy , please keep the UK legal ones coming ! Thanks TK , A T B Tony . 🏴
This is my second Rose Craft knife. Fit and finish and design rivals many knives that are twice the price. I have one modern folder as well and all three came with a good edge.
I've been adding Rosecrafts to my collection, and they're mostly on the mark. I just got a French Broad Jack in rosewood, but the fitment was terrible. *But* I'm not too upset, because not only did I get taken care of by the place of purchase, but for the price, you have to realistically expect a lemon or two to hit the streets. Overall, I think they do a fantastic job.
Thanks for showing us this one, I've heard nothing but good stuff about Rosecraft,, I'm gonna have to get me one of these,, all the best from across the pond,, 👌
The last three Case knives (which were new) I've bought in the last six months haven't been able to cut through paper, unlike my Rosecrafts. Also my new Buck 301 (made in USA) has the spey blade stocking out of the body of the knife, unlike the made in China Buck 371. The American's are failing to craft well done traditional knives under $75.
I do like this one the handle looks comfortable & cool at the same time. Love the blade shape too..I may have to pick one up..Awesome review TK , have a good one buddy 👍
Nice one John most of them weren’t really appealing to me but I guess I’ll pick this one up thanks bud I’m only picking it up because you talked so highly about it stay well 😊
Thanks, Thomas. I Designed both the Lockstock at RRR and the Savage Creek at RoseCraft and both are based on 100-year-old IXL patterns and are made as traditional gunstocks (right down to the closed length and clip point type). Also, I'm quite certain based on some tell-tale signs in manufacture and build that these do not come from the same factory as RRR. Besides, the factory doesn't do the design work. They build to our design. Have a great weekend. Andy
Hi! I'm just I'm just wondering why they don't use a blade lock mechanism, any one...:( I know that traditional American slip joints don't usually use blade locks but hey, it's 2024!! :(
I am willing to bet it is made in the same factory as Rough Ryders are made. I do not know how they make such high quality work at such low price. I got a Case, Queen, and Old Timer made in the USA and all of them have obvious flaws. I have yet to get a Rough Rider knife with noticeable flaws. You have to really look hard to find any. As much as I love the idea of made in the USA, as it makes me value it more, "we" lack quality. Sorry to say. With that said, I do like my 1095HC blades on the USA made stuff. Case uses US stainless steel because 1095 tends to stain up (patina) but now that patina is in style, they should go to 1095. Just my opinion.
OK.....conspiracy time. We all know that SMKW contracts ROUGH RYDER knives to be made by a very particular company in China, one that they spent years trying to find and then court into a business relationship. SMKW / rough Ryder right now has 2 lines of knives that use the SPADE shield. Now, Rosecraft ALSO uses a contractor in China to make their knives. And after seeing that Spade shield, yup, it looks exactly like the Rough Ryder shield. Same company making the knives.
Great knife, still no clue why rosecraft has such a hard on for D2, I just refuse to buy any of there products until they come up with a different steel . D2 sucks!!! 😂. Rosecraft wake up!!!!
@@RoseCraftBlades y’all are missing out on a lot of money, only using D2 the majority of the time. Just saying….. maybe you’ll hear me this time, probably not tho. I would rather 440C than D2, at least I can just use the knife and don’t have to constantly worry it’s gonna be a rusty nightmare eventually if you don’t constantly slather it in oil. Worthless steel in the knife world. If you haven’t noticed, there is like about a million different knife designers, and y’all trying to impress with D2? I’m just lost. It’s sad too, cause y’all have great designs, but your plaguing yourselves with awful rusty steel that barely anyone wants. I have never heard anyone be excited there knife is D2. Lord help this company.
Bought one of these a couple months back, then bought a second as a backup.
These are excellent, Kevin. Not a bad idea.

Terrance, the F&F is top notch. Just hoping for some more natural material handles now. Thanks as always.
Black and silver, the thread and pinch, wonderful. A complete looking knife.
This one is a must get for me. Wouldn't want to be without it. Thanks, Jeff.
Great take on this John! Definitely my favourite knife so far this year, been in my pocket since it arrived

Rosecraft just keeps on killing it! Beautiful pattern, buddy!
They've hit on a lot them and this Gunstock is excellent. Thanks, David.

Yea the size they got just right. F&F is great. A really fantastic knife. Hope to see you Sunday. Thanks, Andrew.

Thanks Steve, good to see the UK is getting their supply of the RCBs. We have Slippy to thank in part for that. Have a great day.
Thanks for sharing about this very pretty RCB knife, I like that they are stamping their name rather than printing it now. 👍Take care my friend and Cheers!
They seem to get that we knife lovers prefer the stamp. Thanks, Toad.

Plenty of reasons to be excited for Rosecraft. I like the spade shield also. Good to see them mix it up. 6 ponies in Tony's stable? Excellent.
Another Home run from Rosecraft. Thanks TK.
100% Dean, they are coming in hot. Props to RCB.
So your top two are Armstrong designs. Woot woot! Thanks for showing this one! It's become a pocket favorite for me as well. ❤
As of now you lucky dog. Looking forward to a strong April as well. Thanks, Andy.
I think I'm gonna go ahead and order one of these. It's a great looking knife.
Thanks for taking a look at the review, Wizard. I think you'll be very happy with it.
Like rosecraft quite a bit. Fit and finish is really well done and will be getting more that's for sure. Fantastic job really enjoyed it my friend.
Thanks for watching the review. Nothing makes me happier than when I've got a great knife to show and this one is excellent.
@@ThriftyKaniffy haha yeah I bet I have so many that was a disappointment after I got it. Thanks for replying brother. Says a lot about a channel
Rosecraft rocks for sure! Great looking knife! Thanks for sharing with us! You rocked it!
Really liking the recent output from Rosecraft. Thanks for having a look, David.
It is a very well designed and attractive knife. thanks for the review, TK.
It's very well made , Jose. If you're on the fence I'd take the plunge.
very nice TK! Best looking Rosecraft knife I have seen yet
You think so? It's a top contender for sure. Thanks for having a look, WV.
This is my second Rose Craft knife. Fit and finish and design rivals many knives that are twice the price. I have one modern folder as well and all three came with a good edge.
All mine have been sharp as well. They make a good knife. Thanks, Viking.
That one looks like a home run TK , thanks for the video.
It is a great knife...perfect size, ergonomic, attractive, good value, pretty sharp out of box. I hit it with the strop and it is darn sharp.
Thanks for the feedback, Ralphie, I'll be sure to do that.
I like the single bladed traditionals
Always something special about single bladed simplicity. Really, top notch. Glad you like it, Kathleen.
So many options these days, for knife fans. Love it. This one is a beauty. I have 2 RCBs. Would like to have more!
Right on, this would make my 6th, so I've obviously been enjoying their releases too. Thanks, Su.
Looks well made , good looking gun stock
Agreed. Thanks, Randy.
Very beautiful knife. I'd carry it daily
As would I, Jason. A great knife. Two thumbs up!
Great looking knife, thanks for sharing TK. Be safe
You betcha, Seppie. Thanks for having a look.
TK with another great one!!! Thanks for showing this one buddy!! Bootyful knife for sure!👊🏼
Thanks very much, RH. Appreciate the sub. I really, really like the Savage.
Those 2 they have coming out next month are a smoke show - holy mackerel Andy killing it
100% going to buy both, Chad. RCB is top dog right now in the mid-priced traditional world.

I love the gun stock shape and the blade on this one. Very nice clean design. 👍❤️🔪
Very comfortable knife in hand. A great size, seems real sturdy. A prectical EDC. Lots to like, RG.

Right on, JP. This one comes highly recommended.
Truly excellent design!! I feel like Rosecraft's line of traditionals are what Rough Ryder Reserve should have been.
I totally agree, wish RRR would get back to making something resembling a traditional knife. Their last two are passes for me.
Beautiful knife . Well worth the cost
Great review 👍

We wants it...the precious
Yessir, don't let Frodo steal it, Sixgun.
Great knife! I'd love to see a version with wood covers someday to truly embrace the gunstock pattern.
Yes, indeed, that would be something I'd be interested in as well. Thanks for the suggestion, Brian.
TK, thank you for the review. Question for you, is the word "China" on the blade etched in or is it just one of those peal off stickers?
It's just a sticker. Easily removed. Thanks, Gun.
Beautiful. Great review!
Thanks very much, Jack. Glad you enjoyed it.
Looks awful similar to the RRR gunstock in D2 I picked up for

The integrally milled bolster/liner says two different factories to me.

It’s a beautiful knife, but I can’t make myself stop buying those CASE XX so I would have the money to buy one of those and try it out.👍😂🇺🇸
There's other brands out there to explore. Thanks, One.
I like that a lot. 🔥
It gets TK's seal of approval for whatever that is worth. AKA. .0000001 cents.
Hi! I'm just I'm just wondering why they don't use a blade lock mechanism, any one...:( I know that traditional American slip joints don't usually use blade locks but hey, it's 2024!! :(
