"People must think we must be on drugs. We don't take drugs, but there's so much pressure I don't sleep for a week, and I get very spacey." That explains a lot.
Amazing game. When I saw in its cover something similar came to my mind although I didnt remember specifically what it was. Later on my house when I set the game in the psx and started to play those paper figures told me that it was a parappa's game again. I personally like much more the first one because it was magical. Although the second one is just great also.

"There's a new rockstar in town, and this lam DEFINITELY knows her chops!" Get. Out. NOW. Also, guitar 'wa wa' sound. Someone please make that a replacement to the traditional one, because it's far more awesome.
If you look close at someone editing the title screen, you will notice the title is green, not red, and the background is white. Notice Katy is wearing her Stage 7 outfit instead of her normal clothes in Stage 1. Stage 3 is also unfinished, with no lip syncing and missing animations, and the hud is flashing yellow? This is a prototype of the game!
There's another prototype that was found about a couple months ago, but it's closer to the final version and printed in January '99. This prototype (the one shown in this vid) is, I presume, from November-December of '98. A few more trailers have this particular build as well. *IF* this beta wasn't destroyed, then we *might* have a chance at finding it. It's probably rarer than the arcade port (yes that also exists)
0:22 I want that to happen now. Parrapa 3, plz. And I guess lammy 2 too. 0:48 it happened twice. It happened 3 times. A forth or fifth time would be nice. 1:29 and yet 2 happened anyways.
If you are talking about originally, no, it came out way sooner than 2009. It was uploaded/aired to/on this channel in 2009 though. It wouldn't surprise me if these old interviews and the like resurfaced in "classic game compilations" as bonus content in the future though.
VinnytotheK Yeah --- it was originally aired in my first channel in 2009. This is a new channel with the exact same name, but with the number "2". The age of the actual footage itself has no relation to the channel air date.

I bet after this game was completed, Masaya Matsuura immediately went to work on Parappa The Rapper 2 for PS2 in 2001.
