I find this intertype relation by far the most fascinating. Its like both person's blindspots are revealed, I feel like theres a hidden potential for growth for both persons. I think i dated an ILI (I am EII) and it was pretty awko toward the end 💀

I watched this when you'd initially posted it. At that point in time, I was intimately aware of times where I was in the position of the benefactor. In the past few months, I've found myself to be in the position of the beneficiary. Being knowledgeable about this topic "on paper" does give a certain degree of understanding regarding the dynamics of how it will pan out, but it doesn't really sink in to the same degree as it does when you've actually experienced it.
You've nailed the asymmetrical aspects quite well. It's nice to have someone other than myself out there to explain these relations as I presume the other person would be more inclined on listening to what's being said when it's not coming from me.

Why did you feel so bad about yourself two years ago?
It would be cool if you posted again a comment to this great video now:). Seriously

I noticed that you didn’t mention how the leading function of the benefactor affects the beneficiary. I was looking for some information on this. I’m an INFP in a new relationship with an ISFJ, and my brother is an INTJ. I often think conversations with the INTJ as exhausting, but I think it’s more due to his expansive use of the leading function rather than his creative. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! :) Great video!

I'm 99.86 % convinced that Benefactor and Beneficiary should have opposite names.
Both the terms "Benefactor" and "Supervisor" imply holding the higher ground against the terms "Beneficiary" and "Supervisee."
When looking at both the Beneficiary and Supervision Rings side by side it is intuitive that:
IEI/E hold the higher ground against ESI/E who holds the higher ground against SLI/E who holds the higher ground against LII/LIE who holds the higher ground against IEI/IEE.
The same patterns follows the other 8 Beneficiary and Supervision Rings of:
    ILI/E
    - LSI/E
    - SLI/E
    EII/E
    - ILI/E
And in all these cases the lower rank person's Creative function can train either the Suggestive or Role of the higher ranked person.
So it makes no sense Benefactor means Creative trains Suggestive.

I believe the "lower" rank person's creative corresponds to the ignoring of the "higher". My favorite socionics topic. Would love to discuss further.
My interpretation of this topic has changed a lot since this post.

I watched this video yesterday before going to sleep and I think it made me have some kind of an adventure dream. Love this new angle (socionics) on this channel.

Lol that's great to hear! I've posted some socionics videos previously that are now private. I haven't seen any in depth content on the asymmetric relations on RUclips so figured I'll talk about it even though it's pretty esoteric.

@@ArmChairTypology I also somehow instinctively transferred that to MBTI. For example someone's strong Te might make me feel like I'm benefitting from it (if Te is supposed to be my tertiary function). Been talking to an ESTJ the other day and had this kind of effect. Also talking to you has this effect. While someone might find my Ne beneficial.

I don't know whether its possible to narrow a particular relation down to this dynamic, unless you're looking at it in hindsight or as a third party. Can you tell when you're someone's beneficiary if they don't let on that they're somewhat unfulfilled? Sad thought.

I'm guilty of ignoring my beneficiary (EII/INFj) even though I try hard not to. Socionics tells you how relations will develop, but it seems there is no way to make them better, as if they are destined to be that way.

    • @ankitkalavagunta8951

@Felipe Gomes That is what I said. You like the beneficiary because they activate you but when they try to help or assist using their creative function you ignore them.

I think point of socionics is to help you realize that youre ignoring the beneficiary so that you dont @@ankitkalavagunta8951

So, ISTPs think INTJs are boring
INTJs think INFPs are overly sensitive
    INFPs think ISFJs lack creativity
ISFJs think ISTPs need better people skills
At least thats what the theory is implying. That seems disappointingly one sided. Like a dorky little brother looking up to his cool big brother, but big bro just wants him to go away cause he cramps his style, leaving little bro feeling underappreciated.
