    I feel ya bro, im an INFJ. and to be honest, we just think deeper than the average human. it isn't fun but America is a country where a Male INFJ doesnt exactly fit in. but id rather spread out than fit in. Im proud to be an INFJ

    I hate being an INFJ, I can't find fun in the little mundane things most of the world can, instead fun for me is obtaining knowledge and working towards a greater goal. Social situations are impossible as I am always trying to analyze peoples intentions and help them even when they don't need anything I have to offer and no matter how hard I fight it I just can't have a normal conversation about about the little "enjoyable" aspects of life

    P.s. normally i dont go telling random people what im about to say but i figure this is an infj video and maybe someone will understand me....... I also have dreams that come true sometimes..As hard as that is to believe I really am telling the truth. When I do tell people after I have a dream ...I downplay it because I don't want them to think I'm nuts . i have had dreams of deceased family members that I never even met ...i described them to my mom and told her about a train set that one of them gave to my grandpa .. she said that he really did give him a train set years ago. Crazy, huh? i have deja vu all the time ... i love to connect and talk about my theories and views on life and spiritual matters .. i find things like karma ( what goes around comes around kind not the previous life kind) fascinating and I know it exists . I can't exactly go around telling people this stuff .. they look at you like your crazy ..i know how not normal I sound an am.. *sigh* I'm glad you made this video it was insightful

      Wow, I'm glad I saw your comment about dreams. I feel quite out-of-place in this world. I'm an introvert and grew up very reserved/shy, but sometimes I often come off as an extrovert. I am also someone who holds high morals. I get angry when I see all these people drinking and getting killed because of drugs etc...I'm a 7 in Numerology and it is the most accurate description I have ever seen describing my personality. I took a personality test and got INFJ too.
      Most of my dreams don't predict anything, but this year I have had a few that seemed to guide me or predict events. In the one, I was walking on a highway going into oncoming traffic trying to not get hit by a car. Next day, on the news, I heard about a woman that got killed on the highway because the driver she was with was drunk and drove into oncoming traffic on the highway. The woman got out of the car, but was not able to avoid getting hit by cars on the highway so she died. Then my grandma told me that she witnessed the car that entered the wrong lane! I feel that I may have dreamed that I was that woman in my dream that got hit by the car; not sure what it means, though.
      Then, strangely, I ordered a Sigmund Freud book about dreams on Ebay; mysteriously I later found out I ordered his book on his Bday. A few months later, I dreamed I won 269 dollars on a scratch off ticket. Decided to trust the dream (felt foolish), spent 20 dollars, and I wont 250 dollars on the one ticket and a total of 263 dollars altogether. And the small convenience store closed a few weeks after I bought the ticket....Strange how the dream was only off by a few dollars...
      Additionally, prior to winning, I dreamed that a woman was putting lightning bolts into my chest (strange I know). One of those winning tickets had lightning bolts on it. Maybe it was just coincidence idk; that's what most rational thinkers would say. I think both rationally and intuitively, though, so there is a conflict in me.
      Quite frankly, I do not like being an INJF or introvert, though. I have not really lived my life and I am not successful. I have anxiety issues that are not apparent on the surface & I am plagued by irritable bowel syndrome. I also was bullied pretty badly 10 years ago.
      I'm a very introspective person; which is probably why I have tried doing freelance writing on the internet & I always liked stories in video games. Recently, I have been reading books about the universe & a book called "The Lucifer Effect: How good people turn evil."
      Note I have not watched this video yet; I just saw your comment about being an INJF and it is apparently a rare personality. Of course, I might actually be an INTF; not sure.
      Okay, this comment is getting too long. Your comment is marked as spam for some reason. I'll respond back if you reply etc.

      OMG... I am so glad that you said that about the dreams. Is so scary! I've had 5 dreams about really bad things that happened during or after the night I was dreaming about that, and the next day were on the news. Lapa airplane accident, another but little airplane that fell near my neighbourghood, a car accident with exact description of the kid in the back seat, another one about a family member and two nights ago about a building that collapsed in my town. This is scary as hell. I don't want to have dreams about stuff like this. D:

      I used to feel the same way ,because i aways wanted to fit in ..but then i realized its actually a good thing that i dont.. im just trying to be helpful when i make the following suggestions : i have learned that You just gotta accept that you might not run into someone just like yourself, there are infj forums and stuff online to where you can meet other infj's. Or you can google questions about infj stuff. Meeting people online is not my thing, but to each their own. You can start writing your thoughts/ dreams in a diary ( i have diaro on my phone and theres even a feature where you can password protect it) ..you might however run into infp's ( they are awesome to talk to and dont really judge you.. only problem with them is us infj's can end up coming off too critical / judgemental of others, to them. They accept you for who you are though and listen very well.. they can end up being pretty self centered and can have a temper though .infps can be moody people.. also, they dont tend to say sorry when its their fault . Which sucks. One of My best friends is an infp ....we get into big arguments that will last a couple years before we will talk to eachother again. i like intj's Too . . We seem to get along pretty well as long as you dont get too mushy on them, always make level headed decisions- try not to be late EVER . Do NOT flake out on them either. They like reliable people ! its important to always apply good judgement while staying open minded and to control your emotions heavily around intjs otherwise they will get uncomfortable.. I noticed they like ghosts and aliens and what have you ... enfp's are pretty cool and will bring you out of your shell.. they are funny as hell too. Enfjs are awesome too but are super manipulative...it would be awesome if everyone was an infj- the world would never have another hurt puppy ,child or old person... no one would be bullied and everyone would love eachother and treat eachother respectfully .

    In some cases we enjoy causing offence, namely if persons or groups that we disapprove of are concerned. We can be the most brutal, Machevalian of social engineers and trolls. So much within this description is eerily true.

      It is the INTJ. SFPs and NTJs are the most Machiavellian of the types.
      That is something where NTPs and SFJs have very hard time to stomach it. Relations especially with benefits (double meaning, I know) are not meaningful for us. People are not tools. You invent your tools...
      For example I have very strict principles when it comes to getting a job: You are not supposed to get one through relations. It is just unethical and wrong. OOH it happens and I'm not interested on this subject. Relations are basis of war and violence. NTJ and SFP I'm looking at you.

    Very awesome! Meryl bringing honor to her parents made me cry so hard; I lost mine at age 3/4 yrs old and 8 yrs old. She is pretty comfortable with all those people though, knowing them and everything. I think I would have to be comfortable too knowing that many people too to be able to put my head down on a podium and hug it in emotional exhaustion. But yes, with my 3 kids, they come first, I try to balance time and equality with my husband, and I can roar louder than a grizzly =D

    This video does a great job describing the things I find attractive about INFJs, while also pointing out the potential challenges of being in a relationship with one. I can see it being worth the effort if we have similar enough views and goals (and if she's cute). I've only known a few INFJs in real life, but there seem to be a lot on RUclips. Also, the annotations in the Meryl Streep clip helped a lot to show what these traits look like. I find it interesting that her husband is an ISTP!

    Thank u for this! I don't like it when my more intense features are exposed, but the way you articulated and explained them, kudos! I struggle to do that and this video has helped me make more sense of the parts to me that do go awry and at times so suddenly I wonder "what happened?!" Everything u touched on explains me, especially in regards to when I am under stress and finding random things to negate everything I deep down know is true. I often feel like one big ball of internal struggle.

    On another page, I argued that Meryl was INFJ, because I could relate to her style of acting and creating her characters, and did the same thing in college when I did theater by delving into the psyche of each one writing their life story. Now that I see this clip, I laughed, because I saw so much of my personality. I teach, and I often make fun of myself and I'm told that I ramble on and that is how I think. So funny!

    I wished the speaker would just talk like a person instead of obviously reading a canned script. Her delivery came across as patronizing, and that was really distracting. It was hard to be open to the information.
    I pretty much bailed on the video at 9:40 or so. I think it's true that INFJ's sometimes get used by others -- I have been there, and only time has taught me to take people with a larger grain of salt, to take into account that people are, in fact, often selfish.
    But I don't think being empathetic is some sort of self-important or childish compulsion, or that it's an unneeded service, the way she makes it sound at that point. If you've ever been in distress in life, it is a huge comfort to receive understanding and support; it can make the difference between despair and hope.
    To me, the answer really is to give that gift in spirit of detachment. I may or may not receive it back in my turn when I am in need. Eighty-five percent of the time at least, I won't, so I cultivate a strong connection with God for those times when other people fail me. But it's still part of my purpose and mission; I am meant to give that gift whether or not I get "paid back."

    Everyone’s Psyche-Type is both a blessing and a curse; all of us are born technically incomplete or inadequate, BUT even here, attachment to ego is ALWAYS the determining factor how long we stay that way.
    Those who hate an aspect of self eventually find dysfunction their reward. Sadly, in my experience, INFJ’s, though clearly gifted, are one of the most likely candidates for Neurosis and even Psychosis, largely because they develop and maintain a disdain of Self.
    Thanks for sharing

    When you were explaining how Se shows itself when an Ni dom is in the grip of their inferior, I thought of an episode of Louie that I just recently watched. Season 3 episode 1, Louie's new girlfriend is stressed out and Louie says all but a few words as they sit down for lunch before the gf notices Louie's furrowed brow and within a few seconds she dominates the conversation and deduces that he is breaking up with her. He can't bring himself to admit it so she breaks up with herself!

  • @InterpersonalityPsycheInsight
    @InterpersonalityPsycheInsight  11 лет назад +1

    Thanks for that. So as to be perfectly clear - Both Jung and the MBTI posit that we are either this - or - that.
    You cannot be between 2 types; clearly there is a misunderstanding how the indicator and theory actually work.;
    Finally, any aspect of life SUCKS or can be absolute BLISS; you choose, since the meaning we assign to life experiences is indeed entirely OUR CHOICE.
    Love who you are and the gifts you have been blessed with - then life is always a BUZZ !!
    Enjoy!

    What is a better career choice for the INFJ personality type: clinical psychologist or philosophy professor? Why? Thank you.

    • @InterpersonalityPsycheInsight
      @InterpersonalityPsycheInsight  8 лет назад

      Better is a choice
      Consider what Cognitive Functions or Mental Processes (Jung) each would benefit from.
      Quick analysis:
      Philosophy = Ne - Extraverted Intuition
      Clinical would benefit from Se - Extraverted Sensing
      Beyond that - You question is way too complex to employ Type alone.

  • @VisageegasiV
    @VisageegasiV 10 лет назад

    Se sucks... How do you develop Se so the info you're interpreting is correct? Via Ti?

    • @InterpersonalityPsycheInsight
      @InterpersonalityPsycheInsight  10 лет назад

      It depends on your Type. You must make sure that's correct first. You must know the theory and what each cognitive function feels like. I suggest you do our Just My Type course, which will also give you a Majors-PTi and an hour to chat with a professional. The PTi will tell you your functions, you can do the Majors-PTE if you want know how strong each one is (recommended). Then we'll be able to talk about the best method for you to develop your Se. Best wishes and enjoy the learning, see you at the interview.

    • @InterpersonalityPsycheInsight

      For the record Bono these are hardly convincing or conclusive results.
      Online test are like online Love; you don't know the reality 'till you wake up with yourself one morning :)
      Jung consider Psyche-Type as innate - with us from birth for our whole life; this is the understanding and observation of most Psyche-Type professionals - so in short, no, your correct type is, for want of a better term, your soul :)
