I have taken online tests and I have also been typed by two different “experts” in typology and have been typed by the “experts” as an INFJ and INTJ. After studying typology and cognitive functions for about 2 years, I have determined my type to be ENTP, so I agree with you. No one can type anyone better than they can type themselves. Of course this is assuming they understand the functions and how they work and apply to themselves. This was a very nice video.
I've read psychological types, energies and patterns in psychological type, another book called personality types and watched hundreds of informative videos about type. I still struggle immensely to type some people, even when I know them very well. In other instances I find it easy though
I think at some level this comment is like someone saying " I've read 3 books on calculus and watched hundreds of videos on calculus but I still struggle doing calculus" ...
I defense of all confused humans. Until there are direct biological processes linked to cognitive functions we’re left with supposition. I totally value Jung theory but there have been discoverers like epigenetic influences, and my favorite handedness. Science has just found the structural difference between left and right handed brains. I will say being a lefty I’m quite irritated to learn not one neurologist bothered to check for “landmark difference “ before believing it’s a preference which should be changed. I won’t even start with the structural differences between female and male brains. The brain we learn about in science class is male of course.
But let's say I AM the person, and have read books, and say what my type is - wouldn't I be telling something accurate? Well, as accurate as it can get in a non-scientific discipline. I had some people ask me what I think their type is before they took the test (or knew much about MBTI), and in most cases I guessed correctly. And I mean, you're typing celebs based off of interviews (which are not always a natural situation and can even be scripted at times) and you're doing a great job with that. So it works somehow. Btw, a video explaining how you approach typing would be interesting to watch.
What personality type do you think that the enlightenment writer Jean Jaque Rousseau is? On world socionics blog post it is typed as an IEI INFJ, but I don't think that an INFJ would be so obsessed about systematizing like he did. He also studied law and discovered the social contract. All of which doesn't seem to me to be an INFJ field of study due to their Te PoLR. Also, his use of Fi in his writings is more childish like and it show more his desire for the well being of others through his new way of thought. Which I think that's more indicative of Fi HA as he wants to better others through his Ni+Te vision. Would he be more of an example of an ILI INTJ Ni subtype as he seems more wishy washy than a normal ILI INTJ? I don't agree with the concept of subtypes as to me they point to a general lack of understanding of what the delimitations of a type are. So we basically fill the void so we can say that the system is complete. But I can't ignore completely the variety element as I know that humans sometimes are really different even within the same type. Although I still think that they should keep their main type characteristics otherwise they may be another type completely. Mistypes... Here is the link to their typing: worldsocionics.blogspot.com/2016/03/jean-jacques-rousseau-iei-analysis.html?m=1 My philosophy is that is not that you are bad at a certain function. It's only that your other preffered functions halts their development as you take an extra step on reaching them as you rely on your prefferances when dealing with the unknown. This I think that's especially true in regards to the PoLR. But from this understanding to using your PoLR as much as your auxiliary I think that's too much of a leap. Therefore, I don't think that a Te PoLR would be able to reach the same mastery and systematize stuff like an Te aux and Rousseau did. Also, they typed Plato as a IEI INFJ as well. Do you agree with them? Here's the link: worldsocionics.blogspot.com/2016/03/plato-iei-analysis.html?m=1
Seems like you’re an biased person? Or do you think that all other people are biased? Or do you think you are just stating a fact? Your comment got me mixed messages
@@rukeyburg1084 idk how could you get the message wrong, it was pretty clear, no one is able to state his personality in a rational amd logical way, since the subject in matter is themselves, so they would have a hard time with their ego to do it in a logical way
The one thing I like about this video, is that you seem down-to-earth, which is one thing I find very important
Thanks

@@stefanleithner6922, that was from 2 years ago. I am actually an INFP. It took me over 4 years to finally make that determination

you're super pragmatic, harsh, honest. i like it a lot and feel grounded. i wonder if you'd like me, or my ‘type’. i am very unlike this :D
when are you gonna upload a new video?
What would *you* thinks is more important?;
- Knowing someone’s Jung’s Typology or,
- Knowing someone extremely well
no
Typing session got me as Enfj (to be honest, i can't see me this way)
