Hey guys I just wanna let everyone know I hit my hit the first time chasing against apk blue. And then I hit it again in the same spot evading Luke. My head split open and I had to be treated by the medics and wasn’t able to get back into the match in time. I felt fully well enough to continue on but we can’t have blood all over the course and let the medics do their job. I’ll try to be more prepared next time and watch out for those bars.
Agreed with both points, it is great to watch him and see also his unique play style. The backwards move was actually a move that I think could be utilised in a future WCT if pulled off correctly, it could have a misdirecting effect on the chaser and provide time for the evader to get out of a tight spot.
WCT editors and production are so good. They know what's interesting, which run should have replay or slowmo. Moments like when he said 'this one is on you' or that legendary rock paper scissor draw streak is included. The overlay looks nice. You guys really know what you're doing
I hate that i gave up two points. And im very proud of my team for pulling this match. I was so close on both tags. Both tags my fingers were an inch away. 😭 nonetheless it made for good highlights and i know i put everything into those tags. No Cap was a scary team to go up against.
Well said man! Also, I was hoping to become more involved with WCT when I'm older, my question was: Do you guys get paid to do this? And are all your travel fees payed for?
A fairly even match considering how OLO is only evading for 19.3% longer per run. OLO: 20 OLO: 9.3 NOC: 6.7 OLO: 15.2 NOC: 20 NOC: 7.0 OLO: 13.4 NOC: 4.2 OLO: 8.1 NOC: 16.3-20 (Judge taking action despite the chaser not indicating a tag being made NOC could have gotten taged in the remaining 3.7 seconds considering how quickly OLO got back into action. (At 7:26 is a great example of the chaser indicating that the tag were made.)) NOC: 7.0 OLO: 20 OLO: 6.7 NOC: 7.2 OLO: 4.3 NOC: 9.2 NOC total: 81.3 (10.1625 seconds average) (Counting the 9th match as 20 seconds) OLO total: 97 (12.125 seconds average) But back to that 9th run, the judges really shouldn't interrupt the match. If the chaser considers it a clear tag, then they will stop chasing. If they consider it too unclear, they will continue chasing. And as has been seen in prior matches, at times the chaser continues for a second tag and then informs the judge of when the prior happened and then a DTR can take place to look into that prior tag. If a judge sees what could be a somewhat unclear tag, then they shouldn't interrupt the match. Unless the chaser asks for the DTR. Since this isn't the first time a judge interrupts the match to say, "I thought I saw a tag there, but on closer view it obviously wasn't. My fault, here is your free evasion." Considering how even 2 seconds at a fair few times is a short amount of time in this sport, then the judge really shouldn't interrupt unless the chaser stops.
Ive watched many sports, even some from around the world that ive never heard of and couldnt hardly pronounce the name of. Chase tag is the only one ive seen that is very fast paced with little chill time and where the vast majority of player seem to have fun and good sportsmanship. This is my new favorite sport.

Heroic stuff from Steezy, getting both points and finding a tag early in OT for Ollo. Emic gave up both of their points, but I think that stat is really harsh because he was laying it out and super close both times. Not sure why No Cap didn't run Jarrod a bit more; it feels like a lot of the teams losing in the playoffs are losing due to tactical decisions or weird captain choices. I think the parkour guys are so conditioned to not force anyone to do anything that if someone doesn't speak up they don't get out much, and that hurts if your best player is a quiet one and your captain doesn't account for it.
Some good points Thomas and I agree that sometimes the stats don't tell the real story like in Emic's case. Both of his chases were amazing, fast paced and very close.

Captain v Captain (Joey Adrian of No Cap (@OlloPK) v Fernando Arce of Ollo)! I feel bad for Emic, this is the second time happened to him but this really looks like an evasion for Joey. Ohw, Stephen McCarty fast tag! Stephen McCarthy gets the evasion 2-2 (12/16) SUDDEN DEATH! NO CAP v OLLO Joey losing control. Ollo wins the Play-Off 3 and they will face Apex on Quarter Final 4! Wow. These playoffs matches have all been really good! This match literally came down to one person on each side making the difference. For No Cap, it has to be D'ondrai Jones, but not in a good way. I'm sorry, but he conceded both the evasions in this match for his team. He just didn't look like he had the speed of anyone else on the quad. I don't know if that's not getting enough rest or just not feeling it that day, because I don't remember him being a problem previously, but he was not getting it done. For Ollo, Stephen McCarty put in the work! He was absolutely the best player on the quad for Ollo that day and won the match on his own. He is so fast that nobody here kept up with him in the straights and he's disciplined enough that he can outthink most of these rookies on the obstacles. That makes him very dangerous. Joey was great, as always, but showed some flaws. He's as fast as Stephen, but he has some work to do in the thinking department. There were a couple of moments where he looked and saw the chaser, but didn't think about where the chaser would be in just a second. 4:54 his chaser clearly has momentum going toward the front line and Joey decides he'll play into that and goes that way too. His other option was to force his chaser to turn around and play into the high-EQ area of the quad. It works out in the end here, but it doesn't the next time at 5:54. This time he actually tries to cut back, but his chaser is already on him. He wasn't thinking about where Stephen would be in just that half second and decides to kill his momentum in a crucial moment. And again in the SD chaseoff, he kills his momentum when he's already ahead. If he'd kept going, he likely would've lasted longer. It was worth a try if he could've turned around faster, but he just had too much momentum and kept going past where he wanted to stop. There were some other miscellaneous mistakes as well from both sides like dodging to the open side of the Tilted Cube or Lazy Boy. This late in the competition, they should have ironed out things like that. Sadly, I think this match was close not due to players being outstanding and surpassing expectations, but due to players making mistakes and allowing the other team to catch up in moments where they should've pulled ahead. I don't see that working against Apex.
Chase 10, 16.3 seconds in and the lights go red, making the players stop when the chase wasn't over. It is then decided that it was an evasion even though he didn't get the full 20 seconds. The chaser didn't get the full chance to tag the evader, and the point was automatically given. This happened once before, and WCT responded well to it, saying that they would ensure that it doesn't happen again. And I get that this is a really difficult sport to keep that close of an eye on the players, but I didn't see anyone else talking about this, so I wanted to say something.
Baring in mind this is all pre recorded. This event happened a couple of months ago. So when they say it wont happen again they mean for the next event 👍

Refereeing mistake should probably result in a re-run or at least let them start from when the stoppage was made and run down the clock. Giving a decision immediately might backfire, especially if a refereeing error happens within the first 10 seconds of a chase

For SD as its the longest evasion wins so in the first chase they set the time to beat and in the second one they beat it so it was all over by the time they ran on 👍 hope that helps
@@MMPK I know that's "true" but the chase was still going technically. It's like in American football if you get a touch down and a flag on the play... you might have to redo the play... ps. I feel like No Cap should have put Jared in for the deathmatch chase, Jared has proven to always get the evader so I feel like he would have been the better pick, no offence to Kaden.
No choosing Jarrod in the Sudden Death macths is a mistake (unless he had an injury of some sort) Also, the comment "THIS IS ALL ON YOU" obviously made Kaden unconfortable and stressed. Great game from both, though.
I didn't understand why the first chaser (no cap) was away from his opponent. The first round of Sudden Death was really super..I would never have put Kaden in the final round of Sudden Death.
Shouldn't Joey's evasion have been re-run? The tag was called by the officials, not by Emic. I remember a previous game in which it was discussed that in this case it wouldn't be fair to the chaser to give points for the evasion, so a re-run should be done
Need to admit that I didn’t expected ollo to come toe to toe w/ no cap. Anyway, this was an awesome surprise as well as an awesome match. One of my favs of wct usa!!!
5:20 Same mistake again? I am pretty sure this happened before this season. I am not sure which match. The referee calls it a tag and after video review calls it an evasion. Chaser would have had 4 seconds left on the clock to get the tag. Which means the round should have been redone.
I felt like these teams were very evenly matched, but in the end Ollo prevailed, and even though they played with a man down, great effort from both teams.
I'm a bit disappointed by the choice No Cap made. Why did they choose Kaden, which is not really good for chasing face to other teammates? ( no offense for Kaden ;) ). The performance of each team was fantastic, but I really thought No Cap would win :/ I also want to say that WTC makes an amazing job!
how come the tournament superstar jarrod wasnt use in sudden death over kaden......if anyone knows then pls reply cuz i am really furious as it was no cap's game and it looks like they lose knowingly.
Not a huge fan of a bad call on the ref's part negating 4 seconds left, but it is what it is, and it's relatively insignificant against the rest of the match which never lost hype. I'm interested to see how everything falls in place.
Ahhh sucks that nocap lost! I was expecting them to make the quarters finals with guys like Adrian and Jarrod. Ollo showed themselves to be a threat, they performed excellently
Stephen was chasing 4 times out of his teams 10 chasers chases (or 3/9 if you don't count SD). I didn't realize you could have more than 1/5th of your teams chaser chases. I guess you can put anyone in at any time. I thought this was "batting out of order at first"
If you guys could amass like 3 clips from each team in the season into a video before the playoffs that’d be really nice as there are some teams I don’t really remember from group A, B, and C. It’s kinda hard to keep track of them when some teams you haven’t seen in a month or two.

Okay so I just found this and I already know im gonna love it
No cap have Joey and Jarrod, that’s overkill
RIP no cap. I wanted more Jarrod
5:20 Same mistake again? I am pretty sure this happened before this season. I am not sure which match. The referee calls it a tag and after video review calls it an evasion. Chaser would have had 4 seconds left on the clock to get the tag. Which means the round should have been redone.
I am really happy OLLO has won this! It's my favorite team through out the tournament. #Bigraptorenergy
💥🦖🔋
9:03 Love to see these huge but smooth leaps by Steezy!
The chaser in the first face off was enjoying in a world of his own.
It would be sweet if the course was larger and then you take one of the better performers of each team, turn it into a king of the hill style match. 😁
I felt like these teams were very evenly matched, but in the end Ollo prevailed, and even though they played with a man down, great effort from both teams.
Ollo vs Apex is gonna be amazing! Some runners, like Steezy, just seem to scale with every challenge!
Yess!! More playoffs 👏👏😄 I needed it!!
Awesome ending! Felicidades a todos los atletas de ambos equipos. Incredible match.
Congrats 🎊🍾🎉
Definitely a good match 💯💯
Why they didn't sent Wes ?? The man is genius . Big blunder which cost them finals
Stephen is so graceful!
how come the tournament superstar jarrod wasnt use in sudden death over kaden......if anyone knows then pls reply cuz i am really furious as it was no cap's game and it looks like they lose knowingly.
All these guys are amazing 💯💯💯💯🙏🏿🙏🏿
Stephen is one of the best player 🔥
Stephen McCarty was an amazing chaser in this!
Maybe the closest match of the tournament so far. Nothing separating these two teams.
No Cap should've used Michael Franco for the sudden death evasion and Joey Adrian for the chase. It was a pleasure watching them though!
Pretty even matchup. Great athletes all round.
But OLLO brought out Steven every time it mattered, and that was the difference.
Hey WCT I like your style, straight to the match no bullshit
Not a huge fan of a bad call on the ref's part negating 4 seconds left, but it is what it is, and it's relatively insignificant against the rest of the match which never lost hype. I'm interested to see how everything falls in place.
Another one, les gooo
Yesss Miguel!!!
Ahhh sucks that nocap lost! I was expecting them to make the quarters finals with guys like Adrian and Jarrod. Ollo showed themselves to be a threat, they performed excellently
Ollo must say thanks to D'ONDRAI 😂
let’s go boys and girls!
Happy Friday Tech!!
Stephen the best chaser in this tournament
Yet again me screaming at my phone let’s go to team ollo!!!!!
Tag was made at 2:47. I slowed it down to .25 speed. That should not have been an evasion.
If the Chaser doesn't request a DTR then the decision will be upheld. Emic didn't dispute the decision so we've got to assume he didn't tag him.
@@WorldChaseTag Love the rules.
Players gotta speak up. Love WCT!
Came after seeing a video about the bastardization they've tried to do to this, you guys deserve all the views
I honestly think Apex will win the whole thing. They don't have a single weak link.
YOU CANT DOUBLE BACK ON THE OPEN SIDE OF THE TILTY CUBE!!!!!! Please spread this message
both of Ollo's score came when Dondraijones chased
Can we see the bracket somewhere? I would like to take a look at the tournament too see which teams are remaning etc.
Bring back rock, paper, scissors! :D
I feel bad for Jarrod, top tier player. Hope to see him again in WCT :(
