its just really nice to see the sportsmanship in this. like even tho some of the chases was really rough and aggressive they are still just people who like the sport and its nice to see
this video was just now the very first thing I have ever heard or seen of chase tag and found the good sportmanship instantly noticable. Great to see that smaller sports (in terms of popularity and big money involved) still have that.

Team phat was my prediction to win from the start. They have all the atheleticism they need and have and their best player Orlando is an OG of WCT. Luke Stones doesn't get enough praise, his speed and explosive chasing style makes him a nearly unstoppable chaser. He is the second best Athelete to come out of the back yard fight club. Abdullah shined too by getting an invasion and impressive tags on the strongest chases. I predict team phat are gonna go far in the world championships

That was such an impressive match. The intensity and aggressive style of Ugen couldn't hold up to Phat's SPB and tactics. They were totally outclassed here, what a wild way for a championship match to go down. Team Phat since the beginning baby, I have never cheered that hard for a sporting event haha.
Haroon keeping unbeatable tag streak. UGEN played so sketchy this season, but not sketchy enough to beat the new kids on the block! Congrats Team Phat 🔥

As always, Orlando's absurd grace and smoothness means he's underestimated. He makes things look easy that others find off the charts hard, so he doesn't get the respect others get. No flies on Verky, but I think Storror should have picked Orlando this year.

Not Richard's greatest performance if I have to be honest, same can be said about Andy. I feel like UGen underused Dayne. During the tournament I thought they just never needed him because of how convincingly they were beating everyone, but in the final he still only got two chases and in the one where he was evading he almost got the point too. Great tournament, congrats to Phat for winning. Now I can't wait for the world championship.

@@oceanrocks with the right team, yes. What a team like that would look like, is one that invests in their athletes, with a captain that unifies their athletes, has the capabilities to motivate. It's impossible to pay the bills from this so keeping the passion alive and dispelling toxicity is important so as to make it worth it.

Agreed. I also think the mid-air tag wouldn't have to have happened if Luke hadn't reacted to Richard's incoming tag by trying to leap over it (which I think Luke tried to do in response to it, which I don't blame him for it, because people would've probably reacted the same way based on their instinct). Had Luke not tried to jump and decided to land immediately, then the tag wouldn't probably have to happen mid-air, but I think the tag would've still happened. I just think that was still a great tag nonetheless, and I hope both players still maintain a good sportsmanship over what has transpired.
No why did he "have to". He was surprised that the other guy jumped. And indeed there was no reason to jump. Thats why the yellow card feels kinda weird to me in this situation.
@@jwrathall No offense to the safety of the players, but wouldn't that make the game harder (I'm referring to your third sentence)? I'm afraid that kind of thing could get exploited by the evader looking for ways that could result in a mid-air tag.
@@movingartillery5718 Thats exactly what I am getting at. It was exploited in this situation, although he probably did not actively chose to do so. He jumped as a reaction to the chaser cutting him off, not because he had something to jump to. And if you look at the face of the chaser and the way he pulls his arm back once he realizes that he touched the other guy in midair shows that he didnt have bad intentions and was surprised by the jump. But the commentatot calls it "the definition of an aggressive tag" and he gets a yellow card.
I'd love to hear a couple regular guys call these runs. "The guy in red just ran through the tall things! The guy in black DIVES off the skinny bars..." The commentary adds a LOT to these events.
We didn’t get to see the medel ceremony but I hope Orlando got crowned by his dad. Would feel justified and full cercled. It’s not every day we get to see someone involved in the creation of a sport get rewarded for it nowadays
