Man how'd GNF ever end up in a must-win position like this? Seth might be the best player in the tournament, and Davis is incredible as well. Clutch double evasion by Seth and then Davis bringing this one home
@@WorldChaseTag You can actually see Davis gazing over to his right through the mountain on his intercepting path right between 14 and 15 seconds. You can see his right foot starting that intercepting line to cut off Gabe at the 15s mark, and like clockwork he gets the tag 2secs later. Beautiful.
he shouldn't have taken his eyes off of Davis. That was his downfall. If he took a look as to where Davis was, he could have turned back and got the evade before it was too late. Good match tho

Seth.. just what I expect from him. I mean he's been featured in "best of" clips for a reason. Excellent. Gotta say Gabriel pulled off the sweet on the buzzer tag, and I thought that was a turning point. Good match both teams!
This is the best most exhilarating match I’ve ever watched. I started watching WCT at WCT 3 and my first match was the boys vs ape escape. Since then I supported the boys because of people like tavon and Seth. Naturally i then Started supporting GNF since it has a lot of people from the boys in. I was gutted when they lost in the final of WCT 4 and I looked at the 4 evasions needed to survive in this tournament very pessimistically. When Davis got that final evasion honestly I lost it. I love this sport so much keep up the good work 👍🏻

glad i'll be seeing more of gnf. this match had a lot of exciting new moves, seth, davis, christian and gabriel surprised me a lot. this sport keeps evolving and i'm loving it
Killer match! GNF opened hard with a real "sacrifice the body" dive for a tag 0:53! And Chase 4 and 5 told a great story with the back to back chase and evasion. I also feel like I can't get enough of Christian's low line/QM, I love seeing him put that to amazing use on both the chase and the evade. And Julius had to one-up his teammate on the crazy dive for the tag 2:42, wow, such committment!
@@WorldChaseTag Yes, you're right, that was a pretty huge deal, especially with the challenge over the tag. Clearly I have to step up my note taking for commentary ^_^
Davis & Seth both MVPs but such amazingly different styles. Davis' explosive speed makes it feel like he's putting in everything he's got (he is). Seth on the other hand is so fluid it looks almost easy (it's not). Such a contrast, yet both equally amazing.
Well done, Enso, you gave it all you could! But not even your unorthodox tactics and drive, Gabriel's silk smooth moves and incredible speed could beat the sheer experience and cool of Seth and Davis. Will be looking forward seeing you next time again, though!
There's a striding route that starts on the Sisters, then goes over to the Tilted Cube, over The Mountain and on to the Loading Bay. Seth does that move quite a lot and is so smooth with it. That move was first completed by instagram.com/xaviawhatcamole/?hl=en at the 2019 Euro Champs in the match between Breach and Ashigaru. We named that route after Xavia - "The Quac Track."
What a match, well played on both parts ! The consistency of Seth and Davis is incredible, Ben coming to the court before Seth had time to put some points in was very intimidating And of course well played to Gabriel, that was a great chase (and hopefully a risk-controled one)
This is the real potential of Seth R. that i was waiting for. Upcoming champ. Edit: Wanted to say that Ben when chasing Seth R. went through poles smoothly so appreciation for him also.
Seth is actually really good. He is not only good on the ground. But "in the air" he is also amazing. When he was facing Mitch. He used his skill at being "In the air" to create distance. Well done to both Enso and GNF.

Aaaaawesome match, as usual. David is just so calm, confident, focused, like hes one step ahead, awesome movings. Just a quick note here: u know something really adorable about wct? Is how friendly the players are. They're always smilling, bumpings fists, hugging... What a sportsmanship
I was a bit confused to why GNF had to get these 4 evasions. Somehow I was certain that Hollywood Freerunners are through already and GNF was just able to get into playoffs after this game. Well, they did a phenomenal job of winning this game in a very convincing fashion. In the last match "The Bear" said he wasn't very good at evading - I would like to disagree :D Three times stepping over the sisters, keeping the distance wide between him and the chaser. I think we could be seeing a bit more of Christian and Ben and potentially Gabriel in future events, however Enso unfortunately doesn't look very strong. Christian had a nice evasion against Julius who is just mad o.O. Who dives through the entire Loading Bay?!?! I gotta say, I love how GNF and especially Seth and Davis worked on their tactics. I'm very much looking forward to see more of them in the upcoming quarterfinals (and semis and the final itself?! :D)
So, after number of wins/points the next criterium is number of evasions? Why not difference between successful evasions and unsuccessful chases? like, you know, goal difference in football, for instance… That would make more sense to me. If a team win a match 4:0, they are obviously better than a team winnig 4:3, aren't they?
The points are determined by wins/losses/tiebreakers, then evasions are the actual number of points scored. Since we all went against each other, I think the number of total evasions is a pretty good indicator for who did better. The reason we got 1st in the group is because we tied evasions and win/loss points with HF, but beat them in our match. If 5B had scored 1 more point it would've been problematic though, as they beat us, we beat Hollywood, Hollywood beat them. It has to be a super specific instance like this to get more in depth like what you're saying, but I'd imagine if it had to come to that, they would use a criteria similar to yours to determine the winner.

Damn, we've been arguing about how we represent the stats for ages. We were hoping to nail an evasion but you've just gone and caught us early...stay tuned!
You have to keep in mind that Enso is one of the youngest teams and also inexperienced with competitions before. With all that in mind and considering that he went up against some of the top guys in the tournament, I think Mitch did a great job. Plus, I’m sure he’s training hard for next year. Hopefully we can build a supportive community around World Chase Tag similar to the parkour community so I just wanted to mention a few things.
@@tegankelleher4424 Pretty good points! And yeah I totally agree, I wouldn't be able to do any better than Mitch and obviously all the other runners so we shouldn't judge him too hard.
It looks like Davis was setting off on the "Guac Track" named after instagram.com/xaviawhatcamole/?hl=en who was the first to pull off that particular route, but Ryan read it well & cut him off so Davis had to abort. The "Guac Track" is a very technical move that requires precise foot placement which is difficult to pull off while still observing your opponent. Very well spotted by Davis.
Well played by GNF! Winning is one thing but getting those 4 points was a different story. Sad to see 5B eliminated though - I was really rooting for Luciano in the finals (and Sha and the others - I mean they are all really good and fun to watch).

BTW - nice work!
Damn these stats are HOT 🔥 You are a real fan Jacob!
God Damn that's impressive! You beat us too it! Keep tuned on the community tab or the instagram as you'll like what we're gonna post on Saturday 😉🤔
All respect to these people what they do is incredible but that Mitch guy has been absolute ASS in this tournament lol
Thank god I'm not the only one thinking the same thing lol. I feel so bad for him.
Yo cut mitch some slack hes more of a tricker anyways
@@Paul1800 That is very useful to know actually. Thanks!
8:37 was one of the nastiest jukes I've ever seen
It looks like Davis was setting off on the "Guac Track" named after instagram.com/xaviawhatcamole/?hl=en who was the first to pull off that particular route, but Ryan read it well & cut him off so Davis had to abort. The "Guac Track" is a very technical move that requires precise foot placement which is difficult to pull off while still observing your opponent. Very well spotted by Davis.
That was so close 😬🔥
Great to see GNF moving on!
Well played by GNF! Winning is one thing but getting those 4 points was a different story. Sad to see 5B eliminated though - I was really rooting for Luciano in the finals (and Sha and the others - I mean they are all really good and fun to watch).
Don't forget, this event has 16 teams / 36 matches. This is just Group A.
We will now show Groups B, C & D, then the Play Offs, then the Knockout stages (quarter finals & semi finals), then the 3rd Place Play Off and finally the FINAL.
• GNF top the group so they go straight to the Quarter Finals.
• Enso Movement were eliminated.
• 5 Borough & Hollywood Freerunners both progress to the Play Off's and if they win their respective matches playing against other 2nd and 3rd placed teams from other groups, they'll also progress to the Quarter Finals.
When is the team with the girl going to play? Excited/nervous for that ngl😳
They're in Group D so still a while to go!
Good back in the game GNF 🔥
Yo bear on gnf was originally apart of enso movement I still train there but the way he crossed the tattoo hit hard
Wild freaking match
Might be obvious to those more invested in the sport than me, but is this GNF the same GNF that has competed in the UK based competitions?
I believe 2 or 3 of the same people have stayed on; seth, davis... but yes its the same group
Yes - it is. Some of the members have changed but the core is the same!
More slow replays for tags, pleaaaaaaaaaase
LET'S GOOOO
Let's go GNF! You better not screw this up :DD
Great to see WCT back! Should all 16 chases not play out in the group stages? This will give every team an equal number of opportunities to score an evasion?
In the future we'll probably do net Evasions i.e. Evasions For minus Evasions Agains (otherwise called Evasion Difference).
@@WorldChaseTag Good stuff. Well done in putting on an event in such crazy times, it must have been a massive amount of work!
*The second tiebreaker in the standings should be the average catch time or evasion differential (taking into account evasions conceded).*
For me Davis and Seth are the best players for me they always know the right moves and jumps to make
Me and my friend when playing chase tag
And i miss those old day
That's me in my head playing tag!
Best sport, its so much better than anything else on right now.
Cheers mate!
so excited for this!! 🎉🎉
This is a very gentlemanly sport.
