Yes you can not stop the brain from working. So you must let it work to your advantage. A very tricky prospect. The mind will only focus on one thing at a time. Out thought process creates the results that we tell It to do. What I call. Purposeful Thinking. Or Creative Thinking. Focus Thinking. As We never get what we want. We only get what we picture in our minds eye. Our vision.our inner vision. And it’s based on the external and internal stimuli. What call “ THE CHATTER”. As a Man Thinks HeIs. So the real question is. What are you thinking. If it’s negative fear based thinking. That’s what you get. Or is it Creative, innovative and positive thinking for creating the correct results of our consciousness. We create our reality with our thinking. Focus on the results you want. Not the results you do not want. Why waste energy and time. On what you don’t want. It’s living life by purpose. Or Default. Whatever happens. Happens. That’s not being control of your life. In Aikido there is a phrase called SHENOGI/ SABAKI. CONTROL AND EXECUTE. START/ FINISH. CHECK AND FOLLOW THROUGH. Control your thinking. Control your life.

I believe after enlightenment person also knows that knowing is a bondage and not being anything is the true freedom.
And when person is nothing he is one with everything. And everything is nothing, appearing as everything.
Do you believe nothingness to be related with enlightenment?
I see nothingness to be eternal and infinite. But that nothingness is awareness. As awareness has no feature so to see one source awareness wouldn't it be nothingness directly?
When we are focused on nothingness we are at level with it. Try focusing on nothingness. When I'm focused on nothingness it seems as if i am nothingness too. That's how i know my real nature is eternal and infinite.
And nothingness itself is awareness, we can tell that because when we're focused on nothingness we become nothingness yet we are aware. It means it is awareness.

This message imparted in this video was very deep and useful. We flood our minds with so much junk that our minds gets tired. To remedy that we flood it little more with useless junk (I am talking about distractions, randoms videos etc) and we feel so overwhelmed,we get tired from inside. This strategy is particularly useful for people who have been burned out like me, to keep our minds empty (as much as possible) and use it when needed to perform useful activities. We will feel lot more content and grounded doing that - I think the point of meditation is also the same.

So Koji says he knows a few things about Zen enlightenment (mostly theory) and needs guidance (humble), yet Takashi admonishes him for thinking he knows everything and needs to be humble. Just to come with the Empty Cup analogy and look smarter. The Master seems to have a skewed understanding of what the disciple says.

After 40 years of meditative practice, I have found a way to empty my cup …
Mindful breathing and eyes closed, I let my wander through sounds and touch and slowly let them go, allowing my awareness to retreat away from everything, even the random pictures in my head and the feel of air entering my body. I then let go of words, retraining from observing my thoughts and memories. Being very still, I finally let go of that all-important word “I”, freeing myself from being a passive onlooker of the noise in my brain. At last, I am at a place where time slows, I am an infinitesimal point surrounded by an unimaginable vastness. Self has faded away, language forgotten. It is there I perceive Unity. It is there I join with Peace.

‘I’ the biggest ego people have without even realising it. For most people everything revolves around this one letter word.
What to do is drop names.
Try to see everyone as a soul, which is pure, regardless of their actions, deeds and desires.
This is hard, looking at bad people as a pure soul, but in the end that is their true nature.
When you start looking yourself as a pure soul and view others through the same lens,
You forget fear, failure of embarrassment and so many thing.
Peace, tranquility and unimaginable courage will follow.
      Hope this makes sense!

"Only an empty cup can be filled with knowledge and wisdom". What is that 'knowledge and wisdom'?
"We must get rid of desires". That sounds like a desire in itself.
    This is another clip bait.
What about the billions of people who will never hear about Zen because of circumstances? Are they living the wrong life?
Knowledge is obtain by the acumulation of experiences, good and bad ones. I will never "empty" the cup nor ignore my past, which is like an open book to learn from.
And again, the subject of women... Where are they?
I distrust the patriarcal mentality; gender discrimination shows no wisdom whatsoever.

  • @Elaphe472
    @Elaphe472 Год назад +2

All this is fine and dandy, but when you see zen monks, buddhists, Eastern teachers and their disciples, you never see women. Like the lack of women in the hierarchy in western religions. Half of humanity is left out. ("Women should be quiet during religious ceremonies": Bible). Are these school of thoughts, religions, male authorities 'afraid' of women? What is wrong with these people? Just because of this sexism and lack of integration I smell something fishy. Patriarcal mentality is plain discrimination, and that shows a gigantic flaw. There cannot be a "wise" teacher if he practice discrimination.

The master was teaching The Wisdom Of God through Jesus The Christ, as (for Biblical example) from the "Empty Vessels that were filled to The Brim" in The Wedding at Caana.
From The Beginning of Time, our Father God commands us to empty ourselves in order to be filled with The Holy Spirit.
And Humility, which is God's #1 Gift Of All Virtues, is the initial mandate for All Emptiness.
There are many in Heaven who have sinned, but none who lack the Virtue Of Humility.
And there are many in Hell who have done good deeds, but NONE possess the Virtue Of HUMILITY.

Only a fool sees himself as enlightened, or thinks it possible within man, no such thing . And yes, "spiritual leaders" and anyone who aspires to be such are all fools selling, or wanting to sell an image..the closest thing a man gets to "enlightenment" is when he highlights his folly, not his virtues, to others. because the recognition of one's own humility is in itself, pride.. ✉️ Brothers and sisters, I want to inform you that now is the beginning of the last age of (which He called the Age of the Kingdom or age of word) God's salvation in this old world and His work now is to purify the person who will receive His work that in His lowered Kingdom engraved with His holy name and totality of His disposition "THE CHURCH OF ALMIGHTY GOD"💐 the work He accomplished today is what He prophesied in the great book of Revelation so now is the beginning to be sorted out by Him every type of humanity (the ones He can purify until his last breath is the one who succeeds so that he can enter the approaching New Heaven and New Earth after this 1,000 years extension of God's salvation from now on this old and dirty world, or those who cannot be purified will be destroyed together with this old world, or the one who will be with Satan in eternal punishment in the bottom of Hades of fire brimstone forever).
📩 So, come and enter the last age in His lowered Kingdom.
THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "the last age in which God saves man from the destruction of this old world"
      Almighty God said
In the LAST DAYS, GOD became MAN to DO the WORK He HAD to DO and to PERFORM His MINISTRY of the WORD. He PERSONALLY CAME to WORK in the MIDST of PEOPLE with the goal of making PERFECT PEOPLE WHO HAD the SAME ATTITUDE. 🙏
From the time of creation until now, He has only performed this kind of work in the LAST DAYS. It was only in the LAST DAYS that GOD BECAME MAN to DO such a great WORK. Although He endured hardships that men would find it hard to bear, and although He was a GREAT GOD who HUMBLED HIMSELF to become a common man, no aspect of His WORK was delayed, and His PLAN was not disrupted. even a little. He does the WORK according to His ORIGINAL PLAN. ☀️
ONE of the PURPOSES of this INCARNATION is to CONQUER PEOPLE, the OTHER is to MAKE PERFECT the PEOPLE He LOVES. He WANTS to SEE with His OWN EYES the PEOPLE He PERFECTS, and He wants to SEE for HIMSELF HOW the PEOPLE He PERFECTS TESTIFY for Him. NOT ONE or TWO PEOPLE are PERFECT. Rather, it is ONE GROUP, COMPRISED of just a FEW PEOPLE. ☀️🙏
PEOPLE in this GROUP COME from DIFFERENT COUNTRIES in the WORLD, and COME from DIFFERENT NATIONALITIES in the WORLD. The PURPOSE of DOING so much WORK is to GET this GROUP of PEOPLE, to GET the TESTIMONY of this GROUP OF PEOPLE to Him, and to ACHIEVE the GLORY He can GET from them. He does no work in vain, nor does He do any work worthless. It can be said that, in doing so many works, GOD'S PURPOSE is to make PERFECT EVERYTHING He WANTS to make PERFECT. In any free time He has outside of it, He will remove those who are evil. ☀️
You must know that He does not do this great work because of the wicked; rather, He gives His all because of the few people He will make perfect. The WORK He DOES, the WORDS He SPEAKS, the MYSTERIES He REVEALS, and His JUDGMENT and PUNISHMENT are ALL for the sane of those FEW PEOPLE. 🙏
He did NOT become a MAN because of those who were BAD, and especially they did NOT provoke Him to anger so much. He tells the TRUTH, and SPEAKS of ENTERING, because of PERFECT WORKS; He became MAN because of them, and because of them He could grant His PROMISES and BLESSINGS. ☀️
The truth, entrance, and life in humanity that He speaks of is not labored for the sake of the wicked. He WANTS to AVOID TALKING to those who are BAD, INSTEAD He WANTS to GRANT all the TRUTH to those who will be made PERFECT.
But His work requires that, for the time being, He allows the WICKED to ENJOY some of His RICHES. Those who do not practice the truth, do not please God, and interfere with His work are all evil. They CANNOT BE MADE PERFECT, and GOD HATES and REJECTS them. 😪
On the other hand, PEOPLE WHO DO the TRUTH and PLEASE GOD and SPEND their WHOLE SELF in GOD'S WORK are the PEOPLE GOD WILL MAKE PERFECT. 🙏
Those whom GOD wants to make PERFECT are none other than this GROUP of PEOPLE, and the WORK GOD DOES is for the BENEFIT of these PEOPLE. The truth He speaks is for those who are WILLING to DO it. He does not speak to people who do not practice the truth. ☀️
The growth of knowledge and the growth of understanding that He says is aimed at those who can practice the truth. When He speaks of those who will be made perfect, He is speaking of these people.
The WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT is FOCUSED on PEOPLE who CAN do the TRUTH. 🙏
Things like having wisdom and being human are dedicated to people who are WILLING to DO the TRUTH. Those who DO NOT PRACTICE the TRUTH may HEAR MANY WORDS of TRUTH, BUT BECAUSE they are by NATURE VERY EVIL and are NOT INTERESTED in the TRUTH, all they understand are doctrines and words and empty theories, which have not the slightest value for upon their entry into life. Not ONE of THEM is FAITHFUL to GOD; they are ALL PEOPLE WHO SEE GOD BUT CANNOT REACH Him, ALL of THEM are CURSED by GOD. 😪🙏

People who preach Humility & being Humble Always preach Keep your Mind Open about you knowing Nothing
There are EVIL people out here who wants your soul who wants to break anything that lives with in you & turn you into their own
When people from the abrahamic faith preach humility they want you to sumbit to their version of god when your boss says it he wants you to become his good worker
this form of humility where you empty your soul how do you not become a brainwahsed slave

God is very clever, to think he would create atheism to promote humility.
Interesting that nirvana and enlightenment are confused when expressed by men. Nirvana is the state of inner peace, it can create an awareness of enlightenment but being aware of God does not require nirvana only enlightenment.
Also enlightenment leads to nirvana but not necessarily the other way around as demonstrated in religions, monks may develop inner peace but not know the depth and length of tao.

This is not right. The boy already knew the most important principles in spiritual advancements. The Zen master wants the boy to go rather in his own discipline, beliefs. Offering cup of tea was apparently a trap to confuse him and see his own way. Zen master does not convey his beliefs and enlightenment if any. In Zen buddhism and in other eastern traditions, there is element of ego, judgments, dogmas, "my way is the only right way". All the boy needs to do is to practice and experience the principles he already absorbed. (I practice deep meditations past 20 years)

Responding to the notes in the description: embracing the present moment is not part of the Buddha's teaching. This idea derives from a very modern concept originating in the 1960s, and is listed in the book "Fake Buddha Quotes" by the Buddhist scholar Bodhipaksa. If you read verse 348 of the Dhammapada, the Buddha actually teaches us not to be attached to any aspect of time, specifically mentioning "the present." It's curious how this simple teaching has bypassed modern audiences as has filtered into mainstream culture and some sort of New Age indicator of an awakened person, right along with "not judging" and "not thinking".

What a bunch of nonsense. First the old man asks the kid a direct question and then he scolds him for answering it; I would have sticked my middle at the man.
I'm not saying humility it's not a virtue, but If the sage was really that smart he wouldn't have put the would-be-disciple in an uncomfortable spot in the first place.
And finally, having an open mind is important, but being mindless is not. People "accumulate" experience during their lifetime, so it is only natural that you try to make sense of the world by comparing something new that you want to learn with your background knowledge.

The point I am trying to make is to look beyond the superficial. By criticizing we are again demonstrating that we know better and that is exactly the point of the story that if you know better then there is no room to learn anything new. That applies when are approaching any issue if we already know then why even seek an expert.

    • @Walcingham509

@@afshanbaig2461 promoting open mindedness is a virtue. Promoting peace and harmony is also a virtue. Man turning to man for answers to the big questions in life is a false errand... I would encourage you and your friends to be open minded as well. Living in harmony doesn't answer any questions like, why am I hear? Is there a plan for my life? A creator? Is there an afterlife? Was the founding of my country divinely inspired? Are you Zen boys tackling those issues?

The ultimate in humility and enlightenment is developing a severe, life threatening, incurable disease in your early 20s. A disease with poor medical treatment and marked by extreme pain and often deformity eventually. Then you rwlaize dirty dishes mean nothing. Taking your child to the park is the right choice. Living each day as thouygh it is your last is the right choice. Loving everything and being extremely grateful for days without as much pain becomes your mindset. No one without this experience can truly be humble or enlightened. health is everything. material goods matter little, but whatever you have, be grateful for it. help others whenever you can. be a good person who contributes to the world in beautiful or positive ways whenever possible. Above all, compassion for others becomes second nature. Your own pain changes you and nothing really matters but the things money can't buy. peace, painless existence, love, loyalty, compassion, honesty. Everything else is just ego.

There is only truth and humbleness. True humbleness means that you will not bow down to a master but neither will you allow the lowliest beggar to bow down before you.

Enlightenment is not a mindset. It's a physical condition where your body is purified of toxins, your electricity is very high and you can see a real light in your head. This is caused by your vagus filling with electricity in a state of calm. It then charges up your pituitary and discharges onto the pineal. You'll see a bright flash of light. Then when pineal awakens you'll see a ball of light it will condense overtime. Then it will discharge onto the cerebellum and you see speck light stars in your head eyes closed. You see the pineal when it awakens from it's degeneracy it will produce a large magnetic field. That field breaches the aether/heaven/4th dimension and manifests light. Photons don't exist atomists are a cult. Shoot light through a piece of glass in a vacuum maybe u figure it out. Drink distilled water eat just fruit, fast, ground, breath deeply. Fastest way to build a foundation.

Enlightenment can be acheived through devotion, work and through wisdom.
Budhhist ideo came from land of India. And Buddha learned it from ancient yoga tecniques.. see people cannot achieve anything in reality. They came in to world naked they go out with empty hands ..thats the key point . Spiritual life is important. If u belive in life after death.
