Star wars helldivers would go so hard tbh, especially based on the clone wars, but knowing Disney they would do it based on the galactic civil war, which wouldn't be as fun imo
They wouldn’t do a game like that at all tbh we would be lucky if they even made one set in the sequels which is even worse
Disney knows people want a clone wars specific game but they are hellbent on making the sequels relevant. They hate how the clone wars and prequels were so successful.
All they have to do is make a clone wars game in the clone wars art style and let you fight against hordes of separatist droids as a clone squad. The game would sell itself if it was well made.

Honestly, something more like classic battlefront xl map scale battles tied into an overall galactic war with unlockables and maybe a ranking system could be a really cool idea.
The Clone Wars would absolutely be the right setting for something like that, depending on which way you wanted to go exactly.

Fun fact: Disney killed off Marvel's X-Men comics line because Fox owned the film rights and they didn't want their movies to be successful. They could've sold great X-Men comics and earned money off them, but they chose not to to hurt the 'competition'
Fun fact #2: Disney owns Star Wars, but Disney only created the Sequel Trilogy, and they're absolutely holding on to that fact to the best of their ability despite the cultural failure of their movies
Fun fact #3: Disney bought a successful franchise that's worth billions. They don't actually know a thing about the franchise they bought nor care, to this day. They're so ignorant that they overestimated the prequel hate for over half a decade, and still don't realize how much it's loved to this day
So conclusion: Yeah Disney absolutely hates a part of the franchise they own. They especially hate it because it's the most successful part. The sequel trilogy they created is a failure, meanwhile they do anything in the Clone Wars era and it's immediately received so much better. They hate that. Who's they? Bob Iger. Kathleen Kennedy. The directors they keep hiring.
It could really use some blaster sound effects. Battlefront 2 is full of them so it shouldn't be too hard.

Audio isn't organized for Helldivers. Instead of audio being labled "Gun_Fire_01.wav" it's just "123972w4921tuy1438.wav". Imagine going through thousands and thousands of sounds that are just random strings of numbers and letters lol. Rest assured it's in discussion.

Me too. From the moment I pocked it up I was hooked because I felt like I was apart of domino squad or delta squad. It also helps that it was right in the middle of season 3 of the bad batch when this game came out

Same lol, I was sitting there all hyped to some of my friends that were playing helldivers, talking about how amazing this would be as a star wars clone wars game, you fly in on a LAAT instead of the drop pods, and airstrikes and other call in abilities are orbital strikes or bombers/fighters/laats coming in to give air support or drop supplies.... man
When I first saw helldivers I thought it’s a mandalorian game
I know the devs said they won't do collabs with other IPs but cmon this is too perfect!
Helldivers just isn't that kind of game, it is its own universe
from what i remember they would do collabs if they made sense in universe, sadly something from "a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away" would make little sense, especially since helldivers plays in the far future

I've always pictured Devastators like Super Battle Droids but in Helldivers. Missed opportunity to make them into Super Battle Droid instead of Droideka's. The Rocket ones may fire from their shoulder mounted rockets but it can still be funny to say watch those wrist rockets.

This is one of the coolest projects ever taken on! It is important though to consider gameplay when swapping models. Weak points on the Devastators, Hulks, and Tanks are too crucial to be obfuscated like this. Making Devastators SBDs with glowing eyes where the headshot hitbox is would be peak, maybe just have glowing hologram weak points for the Hulk and Tanks. Hunter's commando backpack should be a remodel of the actual supply pack, instead of the armor model! Seeing what players have a backpack or not is important. Little lore bit, but the droids using the Automaton walker with a CIS logo would be more fitting than a Republic walker! Maybe close the side doors on the LAAT? I don't mean to nitpick but this being the coolest mod idea ever we really can make it high level gameplay viable!
When devs make a game for the gamers, we get mods like this. This is the standard of gaming.

Usually it ends up non Canon.
I personally wanna see an Xcom Collab. Super Earth is being Invaded by the ADVENT. We have to helldive on Super Earth to prevent The Goverment from being infiltrated and saving Civillians from the varying experimental soldiers.
Now that would be a collab.

And Lightsabers and Blasters are an actual feasibility given that there's already atleast 2 guns that use the same type of ammunition that Star wars blasters do.

When a mod makes Helldivers 2 a better Star Wars Battlefront game than anything EA can shit out.
Mod looks great, but still needs work. Should replace the bot tank model with Separatist tank AAT model, the bot dropships with the Separatist dropship (forget the name), and each gun should have a corresponding clone (or just star wars related in general) weapon skin, not just the liberator. That would be sick

just so ya know, the HD2 devs have spoken to the owner of the archive discord and it seems they prefer to not hving the game itself modded as it could conflict with important files or more. not to mention disney probably coming after the mod for being on patreon if thats true. Maybe they'll add mod support one day tho

I will pay any money for a Star Wars game exactly like Helldivers 2 but with even bigger maps and amount of enemies and where you play in a team of 50 real players as expendable soldiers. With a couple rare limited specialist roles, but MOSTLY just canon fodder.

Automaton dropships = Clone gunship - there's episodes where those clone gunships have racks of B1's and B2's hanging off the bottom.

This is the Star Wars game that we wanted but never got.
when you think about it fighting the terminids is basically just the battle of Geonosis
All the clone stuff is good and all but we need Empire mods. Playing as Inferno squad, Death Troopers, or Phase 0 Dark Troopers would be cool and fits the helldiver lore a bit better since Super Earth has more in common with the Empire rather then the Republic
This mod looks a little rough, but there's definitely a lot of potential
Making the bugs look like geonosians and playing on hellmire would be so much fun. Also the chainsaw bots as magna guards and sword bots as commando droids would be sick
