I wish I could've gotten to talk with Troy back in 2005 in Walker MN. Tesla played Moondance Jam and to make a long story short my brother and 2 of his pals and I met Jeff K. When it was time for the guys to go to the concert site for meet n greet/sound check Jeff introduced us to Troy. For 5 hours we hung with JK and now I wish I had the same amount of time to talk with Troy cause i used to play drums (tama rockstars) and I would've loved sharing info with him. Please tell Troy i loved the show and wish him and all of you the best. BTW check out that 2005 lineup from Moondance Jam.

I first met Troy at this club in Hayward , Ca in the late 70s called the Brickhouse . He was there watching my band Hereafter . He wasn't a big star or anything he was just another guy who played drums in local bands . I'll never forget what he told me about my drumming. After the set he came back in the dressing room and we talked and he gave me some tips on my drumming and to this day I'll never forget what he said . It helped my drumming a lot . My band would go on to win the Battle of the Bands at Chabot College in 1984 .

Troy was one of my biggest influences on drums. His pocket is amazing and the use of his hi hats was top notch over other drummers in his genre who just played open sloppy hats all the time. He is musical with his.

@@NashvilleOnTheRocks he most certainly does. He has given his life to Jesus and has given up alcohol and drugs. Left his lifelong band to fulfill his path. That is , something special. For a drummer like myself, who struggled with alcohol addiction. Being a fan of his drumming, and then to see his victory over those crutches. Gave me the Hope and inspiration, to better my own situation. As the song goes... Gettin' Better Everyday. Day by day. One day at a time.
