It’s no wonder why kiwis are tuning out of this boring game. Been ruined by toxic players and the woke left.
I can't wait to sign the referendum
because of this shit
Agreed. ABs are paid to be rugby players, not to be political.
Allblacks are players being paid for their skill
What crap you talk, great haka, great cause, aotearoa is about culture, and kotahitanga, we all see events, and arguments different ways, doesn't make it wrong to express, think about it,Duncan has this problem, should not be doing podcast.
@paulchristensen2573 lol, why are you so mad. Did you forget how to use the space bar and write coherent sentences?
@@paulchristensen2573 you bell end
@@paulchristensen2573nope - wrong. I’m on a heap of different WhatsApp groups, all massive rugby and all black fans. All up in arms about TJs actions. More of that crap and goodbye to half the all black support. Don’t need youto agree as seen the reaction
I thought we sorted this last century, with the springboks tour. All blacks play sport! Politics is seperate.
It's the same fight brother still anti maori are you dumb lol
Seymour should be PM.
@JimmyJenks-u8vI think your miles off the mark there fella. Our kids at uni are saying there’s quite a following starting to grow and listen to Seymour. You might be very surprised in coming years.
Now the haka is just another beat up for every man and his dog, it's lost its way care of some who think it's just a thing to do. To me, TJ showed us the middle finger before he heads off overseas.
Don't always agree with u Duncan but u hit nail on head with this one...
Well said
Duncan so wrong, we all entitled to our convictions and open opinions, don't like it ,turn TV off , absolute cry babies boo who.
The sooner the bill gets to a referendum the better.
David has started the conversation which is needed - Most people arguing against it are so misinformed it's quite mind numbing how out of touch and controlled people actually are, however, ACTs bill is not the best one, a starting point yes. NZFs one is what this country needs, have a read up on it to see what you think.
@ZaneLike All this bill does is open up NZ to be exploited and sold off again.
Haha... dead in the water fool
I’m in agreement 💯 and I don’t know why it’s taking so bloody long for the government to get it moving
@@ZaneLike I think they both bring up the point of discussion in regards to genuinely moving forward as a country
Disgusting is what it is.

TJ is successful rugby player and AB, yet playing the victim card.
How can he say treaty hasnt been honored for him, given the privilege hes obtained.
Why doesnt he role model woth ethic values than than victim and privilege narrative?
Bring back Dan Carter and Richie McCaw

No full blooded Māoris exist so why doesn’t TJ embrace his European heritage?
“What is he doing”……………….making a fool of himself, and not for the first time
All Blacks should be representing all of NewZealand.Politising games is just disgusting put me off watching rugby. Your better off improving the game and do this sort of things on your days off or in that Hikoi which no one really knows why they are there or string up a coherent answer about the Bill or Treaty.
"Put you off watching rugby" what a fragile meathead 😂😂😂
It's very misleading and just as divisive when A list Rugby players and Actors with born again elitist views try and further add on what's right for everyone else. Grossly overepresented and very bashful people in media who are quick to cancel fairness equality and democracy will sell the populist views that suit the people their bidding on including Rugby Union Bosses and CEOs the whole set now is beyond cringe. They never do this with cricket 🏏 golf ⛳ netball lawn bowls pool darts and rowing not a balanced and fair representation of where we are at. But let's be honest they have been sucked in and hood winked by the hikoi the PM and DPs have come out hiw many times to shoot the bill down. It's the cancel woke elitist culture that will kill our economy our people unity and spirit hope Rugby Union get defunded its time to defund their overspending of tax payers money 💰 they have bn rotting the system in Olympics and world cup tornys for to long. I say defund them and the sky TV also 😂 for the biased coverage towards Rugby and League.
Oh well nice knowing ya Rob
So what about the 1960s protest by the AB against the Maori players not to tour apartheid SA? Or Jonah Lomu & Josh Kronfields protest against the French nuclear testing in the Pacific or Savea stand against Israel Fellah homophobic rant? 🤔
Just the Maori issue is important to you go figure that out lol 😆
@@stephenlennon7369 Only the govt at the time were very insistent on what they were doing was right so were the people in power and those opposing. The problem to me is that we have a coalition 3 way agreement to many people trying to conspire and anger our poor tax paying citizens specifically Maori who are either unemployeed or incarcerated its a hoha when they have been feed propagender lies for so long. The Treaty bill has been stopped in its tracks anyway so Perenaras stab at the opposition overseas wasnt te tahi lol sorry it was actually more like a publicity stunt all the overreactions and exaggerations are only going to fuel more ignorance and all this overuse and exploiting going on with Sky TV s coverage of the Rugby is simply biased they need to be defunded. I am incredibly disappointed by this latest haka. I agree with what Duncan Garner is saying here. Far from uniting the country, this haka is widening the division. And it may cause disunity in the AB team.
David Seymour created the divide

Agree 💯%
I'm not a fan of mixing politics with sports but ill let him off, it is his last day and it was only a few minutes and he did have a good career, it was just a one off.my problem would be if he constantly did it.P.S I don't think the all blacks played that bad, we won and I think people dont realise that italy has beaten some of those top teams.
Nice one Duncan. You certainly ruffled a few feathers.
TJ sorry bro the Italian crowd don't speak Maori and you were about to play Rugby which was a game invented by the English. 😂😂😂
That explains why they had a kaka game!
I fully agree
Steve Hansen would never have allowed TJ to get away with this rubbish...
Can you please tell me about the Atlas Network and David Seymour? That's much more interesting than what TJ did.
Dont change the subject, i know its hard but please, your whataboutisms are lame
Haka before every AB's, 7's, Kiwis League game, has been stale for ages. Haka is over commercialized, being used as intimidation tactic, traditional weapons being bought on field! AB's originally only did Haka on European tours and not done by them in NZ til late 80's. Kiwis league team in 80's only did Haka after a game when they won. Haka is good when playing Samoa or Tonga as they have something similar to respond to challenge with. But Fijian League team now sings a hymn as a cultural performance on field instead of doing a war dance!
Would he have done it before his first game?
Would someone please tell me about the words spoken by the 'leader' before they do the 'ka mate'? I don't understand what they are saying, (who does?), is it from a pre-approved script? Is it approved by the team? Where and who does it come from? Thanks
And they demonstrated against Boks in 1981
The woke media and cancel culture now in Rugby is beyond cringe its grossly overepresented and bashful when Rugby players and Rugby Union need to be called out for overusing the haka and its sport in olympics and world cup tournaments. I havent and will not support them they try to hard to represent 💯 NZ by waisting tax payers money on Maori bashing on reviving an elitist culture that does not represent all kiwis tangata whenua included. No different to American Fooze ball just wrong.
Keep politics out of sport especually when new zealanders of ALL races support the All Blacks! Its opposite to promoting unity!
1 child every 5 weeks 👀
Yes it is somtthing that TJ and the All Blacks will have to seriously consider. In saying that though, what is the difference when the public make the same statement and use sport as a platform? For instance I was in Nelson when the public took to the streets in Nelson protesting of the South African Apartheid regime and we all saw on field public protest at the South Africa All Black test. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE WHEN PUBLIC MAKE A PUBLIC PROTEST AS TO A SPORTS PERSON.
🤣🤣🤣
New Zealand rugby began the misuse of the haka 120+ years ago so NOW the All Black's are crying Wolf.
The haka WAS a taonga.....WAS.
It should never have been turned into a maowri dance.
No many Maori folk interviewed to get another perspective.
Ritchie macaw, john key..
All blacks go back to The invincibles I've lost interest in most New Zealand's of licenced materials are lost interest in the All blacks
This guy tries to be the smartest man. But rambles on about nothing, that means nothing😂🤣😂😂🤦♂️
Kotahitanga is Unity. Māori at the table ensures all government laws meet matauranga and ecological criteria that affect all New Zealanders.
92% of New Zealand understand that colonialism is oppression and never has it been beneficial, necessary or inevitable.
TJ had his comments approved by AB management. Go Norths.
Don't use the haka then. Ngāti Toa came out hard to support the Hikoi. The Haka is their ancestors. Are we all connecting dots here?
Ok but don't cry victim if the ABs do decide to stop doing it 😂
That was the only way to do that haka considering what is happening to his one hes maori and the hakas maori two hes fluent in the language so he means everything hes saying.
Three ngati toa the iwi who made that haka gave them their blessings And lastly his ancestors were with him on that one.
He is not haka for hire you you wanna appropriate the culture like a decoration for aLL NZrs appropriate that😂😂😂😂
Its a gift and a privileged that maori share that in the first place fkrs want to take everything

Ok so when another All Black talks about his politics and you don't approve. You will now accept it as free speech. You won't will you.
It's not talking about politics. TJ can say whatever he wants. But leading the haka for your teammates while representing your country is a different thing. I'm sure it didn't represent all of his teammates, and it doesn't represent me, as a kiwi. I'm out.
All Blacks have always been involved in political issues since the 60's remember pushing back apartheid in South Africa and many others. Proud to be Maori
Now the AB’s are pushing for apartheid NZ. Embarrassing

Bla bla bla bla its not an embarrassment Duncan same complaint you all had about the poua the only mess is what all you are making of it
From an Aussie, what's wrong with TJ (a very respected athlete & NZ representative) having the opportunity to highlight an issue that appears could impact the Maori populace, the well-known treaty within European & other recognized laws, & could echo globally in a negative manner? Did he not play for the All-Blacks, which is symbolically known across the globe as an Aotearoa sporting team (representing the Aotearoa populace)?, based in many ways (players, marketing, culture, etc) on Maori heritage. What better person to share that message than an intrinsic, passionate representative of that? From 1905 the All Blacks are New Zealand, Aotearoa. The question is why now a voice would be raised, could it be because of many things, one could be feelings many have of injustice being perpetrated under the guise of nullifying long established European based treaty ideals, the same ideals that have served dutifully for much longer than most of us exist. The other large question is why this 'pure' statement from a 'pure' nucleus is all of a sudden being questioned, when in actual fact, it should be rejoiced by all of whom not only reside in NZ/Aotearoa, but all across the globe, it represents 'actual' free speech, speech that is based in historically lodged documents, that many have lived under, built the current NZ to be one of the recognized bastions of freedom alongside Oz within the Sth Pacific. Unfortunately, it appears when Gvt's get involved as of recent, they screw up everything, and upset the precious balance established by their forefathers. They should be nurturing these ideals, not tearing them down, only chaos will ensue from ignoring past errors, and it's already occurring. NZ and OZ has way more problems within their own Gvt's than a single athlete supplying a voice for many others without one. When the Gvt manipulates the press/msm for their own personal gains, then the people will utilize their own means to gain much suppressed voices, and to spread the truth.
In addition, you raised why didn't TJ raise trans rights, wtf & why should he? What's that got to do with this at all?, Aren't there enough people doing that already?, What does that have to do with highlighting a step being made towards major changes within a long withheld and agreed upon understanding, that affects himself, his family, friends, ancestors, and indeed all inhabitants in one way or another? Meaning; Give the Gvt an inch, they'll always take miles upon miles, laying grounds to excessiveness, more than you expected. Duncan, do you not believe there is more to this than what is at first sight? If so, I question your journalist status, and would sway more towards gvt globalist puppet talking points. I mean just look who a prior PM is working for right now, (and probably was during tenure, how else do you set up the job?) interesting.
Obviously you haven't read the bill
Kia ora mate, your spot on, there's nothing wrong with it. Just don't expect any facts from this lot, they weren't taught NZ history when they were at school, so will say shit they can't back up. Good odds you know more about NZ history than these gronks.
Te tiriti is the biggest scandal of NZs 21st century, it was written by Henry Williams as the copy of Hobsons treaty document in Maori literature which was in its infancy developed around 1820 by a British professor ,Hone Hika and another British subject, so the lie is that the Maori party, which is theTamiheres says it has a different meaning to Hobsons treaty document. Henry Williams was at the time working against the government by buying up thousands of hectares for the church, the cusp of it is he didn't copy it in good faith .
Ah, Duncan Garner, taking a heartfelt haka and turning it into a lecture on political propriety. Let’s unpack this mess. Calling TJ Perenara’s haka an ‘embarrassment’ says more about Garner’s discomfort than it does about the All Blacks. TJ wasn’t doing a TikTok dance; he was standing for Te Tiriti, our nation’s founding agreement. If that makes some squirm, maybe the issue isn’t the haka-it’s what the haka represents: the unfulfilled promises of 1840.
And this argument that the All Blacks shouldn’t get political? Let’s be honest-choosing silence is a political stance too. When Te Tiriti is being twisted into something it was never meant to be, standing up for it isn’t politics-it’s integrity. Supporting Te Tiriti is about recognising the relationship that built this nation, not picking sides in a political drama. If someone’s uncomfortable with that, maybe the discomfort lies not with TJ but with the truth.
Finally, claiming the haka 'divides the country' is a spectacular reach. Division doesn’t come from a haka; it comes from people refusing to honour what Te Tiriti stood for. It’s not Māori who are creating ‘us vs. them.’ It’s those who’d rather debate the optics of a march than the systemic issues that make the march necessary in the first place. TJ’s haka wasn’t a symbol of division-it was a challenge to the nation: Will we rise to the promises of 1840, or keep pretending unity is ignoring the hard truths?
You are unbelievable, it is he Maori activists who don't want the rest of NZ to have equal rights. Why?
Keep living in 1840, it is 2024 time to get real.
whats wrong with democracy and equal rights?? Stone age or modern day Newzealand society?😅😅
@@johnfox2409 Equal rights? Great idea! Let’s start with honouring Te Tiriti-the founding agreement that guaranteed fairness and partnership. Claiming Māori activists don’t want equality while ignoring systemic inequities? That’s not 'getting real'; it’s choosing to stay blind. And as for 1840-those breaches didn’t end with the signing; they’ve shaped every generation since. Fixing that isn’t 'living in the past'-it’s what real progress looks like. If that’s uncomfortable, maybe it’s time to ask: who’s really holding New Zealand back?
Grass skirts. Give them back to then. That's what they want 1840. 😂😂😂 chump
What kind of nonsense is this Duncan? Why deflect to child abuse for TJ? He is talking about the treaty right now and just because he does that it doesnt mean cancer or pallestine or any other protest is less important. The red herrings you are putting up is disgusting journalism.
Do you know what a red herring is?🤦♂️
@@Reformed1-e1che's still stuck beating stones
@@Reformed1-e1c It obvious you don't if you had to ask.
@savagesaint4317 Duncan raised the child abuse, and other socio-political issues to make a point--TJ Perenara is using his status as an All Black to promote a political statement rather than leaving politics off the field. It's not a red herring, clearly using TJ's logic as an activist, where was his activism in those other sociopolitical matters?
@@Reformed1-e1c It is a red hearing as he is using a logical fallacy to distract from the point. It would be like turning up to Ribbon day for cancer and then saying to the organizers "Hey what about Multiple sclerosis, why aren't you talking about Multiple sclerosis, don't you care about Multiple sclerosis". Thats how ridiclous Duncan is being. By Duncans own logic if TJ protested obesity, Duncan would say why not protest child abuse which is just a circular argument to nothing. Absolute nonsense!
blah blah
Wow, an All Black doing a haka - no surprise there. TJ is allowed to have a political view. You’ve got to be plain silly to think that Maori don’t understand the bill.
They don't though, people have interviewed them asking why they were at the Hikoi, they didn't have an actual answer lol
