Means testing is fair. If people already earn more than $200'000 per year after tax from there assets or investments then they can afford to be means tested. Full stop.

Why should the onus of cuts be on our tamariki, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the current programmes, and it was small kiwi businesses supplying the food which was a double benefit, read about Compass track record of food delivery and how they have been sued in the past , more profits going overseas (UK company), why aren’t the politicians getting their expenses cut, their food allowances and meals downgraded, travel costs, salaries, David Seymour had the gall to post his lunch online two days ago probably $30 for his one lunch serve. Other countries such as Italy and France invest in incredible meals for their school kids. This is all about punching down on our most vulnerable. Stop embarrassing yourself with “ in my day” we also had better social housing, benefits, job pay relative to housing costs. You didn’t need free food because the systems were better. The cost of food was lower, everything was cheaper.

if your'e rich , youv'e paid more into the pension fund than anyone else. You deserve the pension! Government spending is mostly spent on beneficiaries, foreign aid, consultants, and other wasteful spending.
