The best part about these videos, aside from the godly skills showcased here, is just me going "Wait, you can parry that?" I legit didn't think the Draconic Tree Sentinel could be parried, and now I'm wondering if the normal Tree Sentinel can also be parried.
While your normal boss runs are impressive, fights like this against just difficult enemies is actually very, very useful. This feels like something I can actually do and is really helpful for a different approach to this boss. More of this please.
Imagine spending your entire life working up the ranks to become a knight in badass golden armor, only to die by a naked man beating you mercilessly with a chunk of wood...
i was struggling so much with this boss just a few hours ago and was only thinking to myself, 'when when ongbal upload a vid deafeating him?' and now its here haha. Excited to see more videos from you
Not only does this guy destroy this boss almost naked and level 1, he also destroys the boss a lot faster than most of us while leveled and fully geared.
I really need to learn how to parry. I loved Sekiro because the parrying was so intuitive to me. Meanwhile in the souls games I'm ass at knowing what can/cant be parried and the timing of it. Love to see you making new gameplay videos

Thank you, SO MUCH for showing me how to kill him. I feel like an absolute moron for missing those margins like that, this video is an amazing showcase of how to deal with the Draconic Tree Sentinel's nonsense, not to mention a nice view on those parry windows. Fantastic video man.
After I struggle to beat bosses in souls games, I like to come to videos like this and watch pro's absolutely bully the shit out of them to make myself feel better 😅
Tree Sentinel - Bro you already killed Radagon, Elden Beast, Maliketh, Malenia and what not. WHY ME? Leave me alone with my Oblivion horse bro. GEEZ. ONGBAL- If it moves, I bonk.
for the lightning i found it was way easier to dodge by dodging backwards instead of sideways. plus dodge once his arm finished moving down not at the initial downward movement
Holy fuck dude, you literally parried his ass to oblivion. Under his helmet I can see Tree Sentinel saying "Oh Erdtree, can I please get to hehe a one swing, pretty please?".
In Ongbal universe! The loincloth is the ultimate armour! And the club he found in a cave that one time is the bane of all the entities that utter: "I'm a god kneel befor....., wait why are you naked?"

Damn man. I spent a good hour on this dude trying to beat him last night on my rl1, and then I find out his BIG GLOWING HAMMER ATTACKS are parryable. Literally just assumed it wasn't.
Curious to see if mohg the omen down in the sewers can be parried. Wiki says no but they also say that this boss and niall are unparriable. I couldnt figure out during my playthroughs if mohg can be parried tho and its unreliable to do in co-op due to multiplayer parry bug
These type of big ass 2-hand weapon swings can be parried too? I know the boss is 1-handing it here but I did try it with the regular tree sentinel and got my shit clapped out of me. I was probably parrying the wrong direction or something. Is there any way to tell whether an attack is parriable or not? I know most body slamming type of attack can not be parried, but if the enemy is using a weapon then is it always parriable? Any distinctions or indicators?
this guy staggers more bosses with a little club then I can do with a great hammer
surprisingly great hammers do less poise damage than for example a broadsword with square off which is super weird
r1's do very little poise and super armor damage, its all about charged r2's and WA. Square off does an insane amount of poise and super armor damage
Don't forget jump attacks (especially heavy) do structure damage too.
It's basically WA's, Charged R2's, and Jump Attacks. But persistence is the main key, you want to keep the push on as much as you can.

From my experience you can parry every horse miniboss including loretta

I can't believe how good that club is at staggering everything.
It's the charge attack. Any weapon's charge attack will stagger he just so happens to be using starting weapon
