Great Fun!
Even if i don’t make any of these props it is still so relaxing to watch & listen to these videos. With that voice this guy is the Halloween Bob Ross.
"... is the Halloween Bob Ross" LOL, well that made my day!! Thanks Everfree Brumby for your very kind words.
👍👍👍Yes!! That is such a perfect description 👻
I think you are the next Bob Ross
I was a big fan of his. What a wonderful comment, thanks Arlee.
Awesome!!!!
Thanks Myyst!
This is Awesome!!!!
Thanks Cheryl for the nice compliment.
BRILLIANT
Thanks Tony!
Man it's always great watching someone explain these movie magic ways. See you next time.
Thanks branchcore for watching and commenting.
This is probably the best instructional video for props!
Thanks for the wonderful comment, I really appreciate it.
Oh man, I'm getting a classic Scooby-Doo cartoon vibe from this one. A couple glowing LED eyes in the skull and I could totally see this being used in a Scooby-Doo themed display
That sounds like a great theme idea Truck, a good way to keep a haunt fun and family friendly. Thanks for the comment.
Huh, I would've thought that you'd use the same hidden motor setup like you did with the animated teeth. Still awesome!
I've got to keep you guessing! Thanks Kevin, I always appreciate your comments.
Sir, without a doubt, you make the best Halloween DYI shows bar NONE!
Thanks for the concise, detailed yet fairly simple instruction.
A true giant among RUclipsrs
Mac
Wow, thank you so much. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch them and to leave such a glowing comment.
Thank you for another fantastic and clear tutorial. I loved how this one tied into the floating table from your earlier tutorial - everything ties together so neatly and so creatively for a great spooky tableau
Thanks Arlen. Yes it was a different approach this year with several of the props all tying in together. Thanks for watching and commenting!
thats genius thanks for sharing !!! HFL!!
You bet deoblo85 and thank you for watching. I always appreciate your comments ... but I am afraid to ask what HFL stands for. :)
I love it. I am thinking of making it without the table legs. Should the skirt be long enough, the table legs shouldn’t really matter I don’t think. Am I crazy?
Hi Sean, you can certainly try. I found that the table legs act as a form to keep the tablecloth flowing out, while helping to prevent the tablecloth from flowing under the table. Thanks for watching.
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
So incredibly creative! We had a Mama Roo for Harrison and sold it...DOH! Now I will have to track down another one. Thank you again for the detailed instruction and fun atmosphere. Are you keeping this set up throughout Halloween so you can enjoy it?
Thanks Hollywood Haunter, I hope that you have luck finding another mamaRoo! Alas, the set was just for the day.
I would have this as my coffee table all year round’
And given what we've seen in past projects, it doesn't take too much imagination to toss one of those deer motors into the book if you don't have the levitating table handy. Nicely done. :)
Press that kangaroo setting. Lol love this old school stuff
LOL, that mechanism is soooo cool. I would be lost without it this year!!
This is SO great! I'm very happy you are back sharing your genius for magic enchantment. Thank you!
Well thanks Mina, that makes me happy to hear. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and leave a comment.
This has to be my favorite channel. Great tutorials. I've been inspired to use the 4 Moms Mamaroo for a floating Zero from the Nightmare Before Christmas. Can't wait to see how it turns out. Thank you again for these awesome projects. Like another lady said...the Bob Ross of Halloween. Nailed it!
Hi JMLAL, your Nightmare Before Christmas idea sounds great. I'm so glad that you like my tutorials, thanks for watching and for the very complimentary comment.
You are my favorite animated decorations DYIer. Always so happy to see your videos 🙏🤗❤️
As always, thanks Jane for your kind and complimentary words.
Thank you for your time! You have the best videos. Fact: You are the best Halloween How-to RUclipsr! I found you not too long ago and I’m almost done watching all your videos. I don’t think I’ve seen one on your lighting? If you could do one on lighting tips I’d greatly appreciate it!
Thanks Karen, not only for watching but also for taking the time to comment. I have received a few requests to produce a video on lighting techniques, I will definitely consider it for next season.
Great idea, very cool 🧡🤎💛🍁🍂
You are realy out doing yourself this year! I love the idea of each video for the current season for making one whole scene. Im excited to see what you make next for the room.
Thanks SkellingtonGhost, we shall see in about two weeks! I always appreciate your comments.
Very cool. Can you make the clock hands spin backwards relatively quickly?
Hi finding magic, nope they are stuck on the bewitching hour of 3:00am!
Just a question. Is it necessary for the hole for the fishing line to be that big? I would think a half inch hole or even a bit smaller would work?
Hi Raynestorm, you can certainly make the hole smaller. I made the hole larger to help insure that the fishing line did not drag on any part of the hole opening's edge.
Cool 😎
Thanks Rad Bat!
They're currently selling the skull with hinged jaw at Target.
Thanks VoidedMirror for the heads up. It is part of their "Hyde & EEK! Boutique", listed at $5.00 ea. and looks like a pretty good match, but I have not yet seen it in person yet to confirm..
Ok Paul I'm itching for another tutorial!
It's a big build and video ... patients my friend.
@@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms I'll pay you Tuesday for a how to today.lol
I wish it were that easy!
Looks really great. Thanks for sharing.
And thank you for watching and commenting.
😮 wow! So simple but such a payoff!! Now let’s say I wanted to do this prop self contained, for example on a table or bookcase in my normal house. Any ideas on a small motor for inside the book/box?
Hi MrsC B. Actually, what is commonly known as a deer motor ( www.frightprops.com/electric-motors/motors/fixed-speed-110v-ac-5rpm-deer-motor.html ) would work. It comes with a slow rotating arm that you could connect the string to, however you still need to place it under the table in order to have room for all of the workings. It is more complicated than that ... but in a nut shell, that is what I would do.
@@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms 😎 cool! Thanks. I also watched your teeth video this morning and that was inspiring too!
The Casey Kasem of Halloween How-To's.
Thanks luvz2reed, what a nice thing to say.
I didn't expect a tutorial this soon :)
Me either!!
❤️❤️❤️👻💀🥰
Thanks Stacy!
That's Cool!!!! Thank You For The Prop Idea!!!! 👍😎😃
You bet Wolfman, glad you liked!
On an additional note I really like the direction that you have chosen with the lack of gore. Thanks again.
Gore has never been a part of my Halloween Haunts, it is too much of a low bar. Thanks for noticing.
To be honest I over think my props and just watching how you made something like this so simple blows my mind. I was thinking servos in the head with an arduino.... geezzzz
Hi Tinker Bench. I grew up building things with only what I could find around the house, scraps from the nearby building sites or dumpster diving. As they say "Necessity is the mother of invention" and then there is that other famous saying "Keep it simple Stupid". Thanks for watching and for the nice comment.
@@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms Lol I have to always remind myself to K.I.S.S. I will be subscribing and learning some build techniques from you! I am working on a video at the moment for a upgraded radio that can double as a halloween prop.
Perfect and simple always makes the best effects for Halloween, great stuff thanks for sharing
Hi Marion, I am happy to share with all of you. Thanks for the nice compliment and for watching!
Could you make a video about making a beating heart for please?
Thanks for the suggestion Maia, however I do not do guts and gore ... that might be pushing it.
Like the addition concept. Nice options. I like the idea of the use of the epoxy putty. Well done. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks KYJ, I might include an additional "companion prop" next year. Thoughts?
@@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms I like it. It seems to me that being able to expand on an idea seems really functional from my perspective. I prefer the idea of a theme in a haunt and being able to update an effect really helps maintain interest long term and potentially extends the lifespan of that prop.
Another great video, Paul. Keep it up!
Thanks Ryan for the nice comment, it is much appreciated.
Thank you again for another great DIY.
My pleasure devilman, thanks for watching.
I love itttttt....!!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤🤣
Thanks Diana!
Spooky scary! :)
Thanks ACGCDR!
Love this! 💀🖤
Hi Frankendoll, thanks for watching and for the nice comment.
That is so awesome... I can't get enough of your tutorials! This is pretty much what I expected to see on rigging up the skull, but I'm curious why a 1" hole for the fishing string, it seems oversized for what it is... I know you have very good reasons for these things as I discovered when I built your spooky sign (I haven't even started my video on that yet) but would a smaller hole 1/2" or 1/4" 1/8" hole work? The only thing I could guess is that the reason would be for alignment issues that it gives flexible range of placement so it won't bind up... making it easier to work with it?
I decided to go larger with the holes to allow others a bit more leeway incase they did not get things lined up just right. Thanks Ray for your insightful comments!
@@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms thanks for confirming that, I can see why that would avoid frustration... I've gone too small with holes when running wires through walls so I ended up having to open up the holes larger than I expected... it makes sense. I'm glad the large hole isn't noticeable, but the flat black paint (say that 3 times fast!) helped to conceal it... but that was my concern at first sight of that huge hole... but your video proves otherwise. Great job!
