- In this video we show how to make skulls out of plastic milk jugs. Using a bucky skull as a model. The bucky skull can be found for purchase on E bay and Amazon. The bucky skulls are made of a hard , thick plastic. I also use a resin and ceramic skulls as models.
Finally I know what to do with all my empty water jugs, and what to fill the crawlspace of my house with!
Yes, our crawlspace is full so we hade to think of something else to do with the skulls.
Easy there, Pogo. Stay original and use the attic.
You may joke but I’m actually gonna do this now 😂
LOL!
The amount of detail you managed to catch with a milk jug is excellent
Well thank u. Figured we could use it on something besides keeping milk cold
@@CreepyCraftyCreations77 I call it trash to treasure
These are Skullmazing and I'm sure when my daughter sees this video she and I will be making some! Thanks for sharing your creative thoughts and recycling ideas. Y'all rock and I can't wait to see more Creepy Crafty Creations.☠️
Can I just use water jugs if I don't have milk jugs? 🤔
Thank u , to all of our supporters for helping our channel make it to 1000 subscribers.
Genius idea! Love that you up cycled plastic jugs.
@@KudzuCackalacky thanx, we do what we can
I don't do "spooky"/gore because I have vivid, sometimes violent nightmares, my husband is a combat veteran and emergency medical provider, and our kids get bad dreams from some of the gorey commercials and billboards haunted houses like to vividly advertise around Halloween time, but as a crafts person I want to thank you for this excellent method to reuse material to form around a mold. RUclips suggested this video to me and I am very grateful for your excellent tutorial without the horror other Halloween crafters often include in their craft tutorials. Thanks for keeping it kid friendly so my kids can enjoy this video and not have nightmares! I have a ton of ideas of items to try this method with 😊
Ok, no worries. Tell your I thank him 4 his service. And I hope u and your family have a safe and fun Halloween.
Hey y’all! This is fantastic! After the pandemic, my husband and I were forced to move into his nieces basement apartment. Good thing about that is her husband is a contractor. He has lots of tools I use for my crafting including a heat gun!! And wouldn’t you know it, I save milk jugs! So I know what I’m making! Thanks for the “how to” video!! See ya soon!
❤️💜💚
Yes, let us know how it goes.
This is one of the best tutorials I've seen on RUclips! Thanks for the share.
?
You two are brilliant! Love this idea! I use to collect milk jugs ‘cause I knew one day they’d come in handy. Hahaha oh boy! The day is mine! Thank you for sharing!
Oh yeah
😂😂
I'll have to try this with making a concrete mold for a small garden statue, use some release agent, and see if I can cast a replica.
Yeah , maybe try doubling up the skull as a form. Thanx 4 watching.
Holy crap! I love them! I gotta say, I hit the subscribe button during your intro...because we are clearly of the same tribe!
I am sorry . We r know to be strange at times.LOL
Brilliant tutorial! You folks are a blast! Thank you 💛
Thanks so much!
Wicked!
The pumpkin king would shed a tear of joy.
Hold on , let me check on him. See if he needs a tissue.
I have used milk jug quarts to create giant monster hands for a costume. I designed it so most of the jug was palm and I added fingers. I kept the handle free in an opening for me to hold. It was very effective
Cool
20 seconds into this video and I subbed to the channel ❤
Thanx, but I think the record is 18 sec , so u just missed it.
Same!!
Ditto!!
Very cool video and thank you who ever turned off that heat gun, that was left running when you were done.
Lol, that heat gun has a cool down setting. Whenever u turn it off it continues to run in cool down mode foe about 5 mins. But thanx for watching.
Great video. Who needs a vacuum form machine and PETG plastic when you can just heat form a milk jug?! So many possibilities with this technique.
This is one of the best milk jug skull videos, great job. That turned out great.
Thank you , did u check out the follow up video? More coming
I did it was great as well. Looking forward to see more.
Good lord here i am throwing out 4 jugs a week when i could be doing this! You just gave me a great idea for a project! Definitely subscribed
Hello from Scotland. Love this idea. Amazing job.
Thank you for the tutorial however there is one key piece missing. In order to complete this project you must first have the correct sized skull to use as a template for the jug to fit around. I'm not seeing in the description or in the pinned comments the link to find this. Can you share please.........
That was my very first question! How can I make a skull if I need a skull to make one?? I wouldnt even know where to start! I could prob look online and pay a fortune...so much for skull craft!
i think he said somewhere it was a bucky skull
*This is just AWESOME!* 😲
Thanks for sharing. 😀👍
Thanx 4 watching
You just won the internet!!! Freaking brilliant!
Cool, what did we win?
@@CreepyCraftyCreations77 bragging rights!
I will take it, thanx
Thank you for sharing your technique. I did the same thing with a Halloween decoration from JO-ANN'S... So far I've used cement and drywall.
First time your channel has come up for me, and first view... Subbed in the first minute, Cheese Factor for the intro.
Update: Fantastic technique.
Thanx, Sometimes I like ham with the cheese.
Whoa. What an awesome concept. ❤ the 💀’s.

Amazing work, super impressive!
Thanks a lot!
I love the introduction guys 🤗 y’all amazing!
Thanks so much!!
That was an excellent watch, thanks for sharing and giving inspiration.
Thanks for watching!
This is honestly brilliant
Thanx
I'm curious have you ever tried to make anything else other than skulls like that with a milk jugs I'm kind of really interested now because that's fascinating the recyclability of what you're doing is amazing and you make something special out of the handles like bones and things like that that would be way cool gosh I hope so I can't see what else I can't wait to see what else you make
Thanx, yes I have made a few other things, bones , animal skulls, owl. A follow up vid will be coming after next week. We run a small haunted attraction at a park in N. Central Florida. Do we r swamped right now trying to get it ready for opening night. Which is Oct. 13th. Fri. The 13th. A hunters dream
Thank you for this tutorial. You could use the handle for making a witches face.
Nicely done & great idea❣️👍
Many many thanks
You’re most welcome. 😍
I was already planning to up our Halloween game this year with DIY foam pumpkins but because of this tutorial... my heat gun arrived in the mail yesterday 😁 I'm so excited. Thank you so much!!! Our HOA is gonna hate me 😂

Without finishing the video or reading any other comments, I’m taking a pause about a third of the way through right after the spot where he said I locked in the eyes and the nose and part of me would like to do this a different way if it were Minecraft. I think I would like to have a skull that is hard like a plaster or a cast maybe even in concrete or thin set with a solid inside. I could see putting these in an oven instead of heating them externally with radiant heat. that’s only active in the area that you project it. I think if it was in an oven, you would be able to put it in for less time with greater results.
I think the heat gun is the long way of doing this.
I would not recommend that.
This is brilliant!
Thanx
@@CreepyCraftyCreations77 You're welcome!
So cool! Where did you get the original skull? Would love to try that!

desde España con amor, señores fabricantes de leche, necesitamos que nos la vendan en garrafas de 5 litros, ya hemos sacado bastante partido a los tetrabrick.. Gracias, estupendo video..
Great idea.
Thanks!
❤ that's really cool thank you for making your video❤
thanx, poor Charlie, he falls 4 it every time
Holy cow…..this is awesome! Any concerns about plastic burning fumes?
I don't actually melt the plastic. It's more of softening it. I have never smelled or noticed any fumes. But I work in a well ventilated shop.
First 5 seconds - that pile of skulls - if they visited the Killing Fields Museum Cambodia, perhaps they wouldn’t enjoy making it. I dunno, or perhaps they would...
We haven’t been but we just use them for our haunted house
Hello, If this prop cause u any discomfort or dis respect , we apologize. It is a Haunted House prop and meant to be use as one.
Ya I agree. Ever since my father died Halloween grosses me out. Was one of my fav holidays. Now 😞 I even gave away all my Jack & Sally merch. To each their own I guess.
That's slick.
Thanx
Amazing work!
Glad you think so!
That art piece with the skulls on it, I have done and oil painting just like it, but with a snake moving across it, its even around the same size to.. when did you make. that's so uncanny, lovin it.
cool, we made the skull wall and the skull pile last haunt season.
Very cool 🤘🏼
Thanx
Brilliant!
maybe, but definitely crafty
My oldest son loves skulls this I think is a perfect video thank you for sharing, I’m going to share this with him ❤also where are you guys located???? If you don’t mind…we are in Maine! Our son makes his own Zombie outfits and Harley Quinn’s outfit he is great at it! He says he only does it for himself, but deep down I think if he might do it otherwise I don’t know for sure !!
Awesome! Thank you!
Amazing 😀 👏
Already saving jugs but I'm curious do you do anything specifically to prep them as far as cleaning? I've been just rinsing them out with water but terrified that fun smell that still lingers won't go away.
Hello, I usually just rinse with water. But do admit that sometime there still a reminisce of the smell. LOL
That's awesome what a great project ☠️👻🎃💛 in fact this is so good I'd like to share it have an awesome day😊
Please do!
Did I miss what kind of skull you put in the jug? What is it made of?

I wish you where my grandparents. my grandma hates skulls
I guess we r weird Granny & Grampy.
How clever!

Every time I try to buy a Skull off Amazon, they turn out to be Kid sized skulls. I want bigger, like the one you have.. maybe you could add a link for where to buy that model skull?
check the description
@creepycraftycreations I know this is an older video, but what skulls did you use? I tried some and it messed up the skulls.
Hello, I use several different model skulls . My favorite 1 is a bucky skull. Which can be found on ebay or amazon. I also use a resin and ceramic model skulls. Thank you.
Totally awesome ❤😊
Thanks 🤗
@@CreepyCraftyCreations77 I love recycling! I have never bought presents for xmas or birthday I make stuff. I don't sell it. 21 grandchildren 4 great. I can barely keep up with them. But Halloween I make stuff for the candy dish too. I'm going to try carving a small skull and shrink up a bunch of these for the kids. About 250 a yr come by. I've made little yarn dolls last yr. What a hoot that was.
Truly amazing
Thank you
I love this
Thanx, so do we.
This would be great, if I could find a skull to do it from.

What that's crazy awesome 👹
Its crazy, but not sure about the awesome part.
Nice. Where can I get the model skull?
Check the description please.
Genius🙌
thanx
A bunch *Out in the yard with a tea candle underneath...WOW 😮 Nice
cool
Where did you get the skull form? Is it ceramic or actual human?
Not sure how to respond to this ?
have you used plaster or cement to fill the plastic skull to make statue or sculpture?
Very cool! Thanks! 😁😈
Thanx
This reminds me of some masks I saw on TV
They were faces made of molded screen door screen.
A little makeup was put on them
They don't seem like much until you see them used as a mask.
The double face effect is creepy!!!
Thats cool , I would like to try to make those. Do u have any more details on them?
@@CreepyCraftyCreations77
They were oddfellows DeMoulin ceremony masks....
Great Idea(s)..=]...I have been using milk jugs for masks for years but NEVER thought of a skull!!.. i got about a quart left in a one gallon jug in the fridge..think i'll have a big glass and help get that sucker empty! Thanks
Lol
What should the mold skull be made out of? For the milkjug not to stick
I use a bucky skull, can also use a resin or ceramic skull as a model.
@@CreepyCraftyCreations77 nice , thank you great work 👍 👏 👌
Rad DIY!
Thanx
Well, this is nice, but your list of supplies didn't include the model skull, there, so I guess I'm screwed.
I apologize, its in the description. thanx 4 watching
Awesome 👍👍💀💀💀
Glad you enjoyed it
Cool!💀
Thanx
Is the skull you use for a form plastic
Its a bucky skull. Check description please
Is it cheaper to buy a mask and then glue it down..like a holloween mask? I know, recycle. I'm thinking time factor. With your original crafted skulls, I think each skull may need a hook on both sides..so people can attach masks and or change them daily. Another idea, is to glaze them black or white...black like the chalk board so folks can use chalk to draw their own original skull or the white plastic so folks can use dry erase markers...or vinyl for makeup like a cosmetology head mask.
If u say so
Interesting....
Glad you think so!
Which material is the model skull made of?
It's a thick hard plastic, check the description for details. Thanx 4 watching
The skull you are using to make the jug skull was not in the list of “What You’ll Need.” Seems like it’s a vita part of creating this new object, so maybe at least tell us where to get it. Thanks!
Check the decription please
Unless youre making alot of these this is impractical for most people by the time you purchase the skull, heatgun, and whatever else you may need. 😮
Hello, yes we run a Haunted Attraction . So we need and make alot of skulls. Thanx 4 watching
Where did you get the skull?
Hello , if u r referring to the model skull , its a bucky skull . I purchased from Ebay. They r also available on amazon. I use the bucky the most because its a harder , thicker plastic. U can also use a resin or ceramic skull. Thank u 4 watching.
What's your power bill like though
not too bad, how about yours
Game changer!
thank u 4 watching
Kinda creepy how a skull fits into a gallon jug so nicely!!
Yes , yes it is.
We're looking at a 400 level lab project that you have to know so many other things before even attempting for the first time...
If u think so
Is that a real skull you used for a form?
Lol, U dont know do u.
@@CreepyCraftyCreations77 Does that mean it is , or it isn't?
@@williardbillmore5713 We can't divulge all of our Trade Secrets. JK its a bucky skull
@@CreepyCraftyCreations77Never heard of a "bucky skull." 🤷❓
No carcinogens from heating the plastic?
Yeah there are, if you want to be safe wear a mask, I have one that I use when working with resin, it’s probably the one to use with plastics too. It’s a 3m mask with screw on filters so I can change the filter type for my needs
I have never noticed any . dont really melt the plastic. Just kinda soften it to form it around the skull model.
@@CreepyCraftyCreations77 You might want to look into it. Many plastics release harmful (cancer-causing) fumes when heated.
Just gave me an excellent idea. Unfortunately I can't say what it is cause I hope to make a couple bucks. On disability and $800 don't go far!! Lol!!
Good luck with it
Wow, very cool!
Thanks!
In your list of things you'll need, you forgot to list a heat-resistant skull to use for molding the milk jug.
Check the description please
That is so badass 💀🔥🤟🏻
, thanky , thanky
I loved this so much! I needed a bunch of skulls for a project I wanted to make, but I kept putting it off because I thought it was going to cost me a ton of money to buy a bunch of fake skulls. You guys saved me! Thank you! Amazing job!
Thanx. No problem. We are glad to help whenever needed. Thank you for watching .

Wait a minute.... I can't drink that much milk to do my project!!
We get friends & family to save them 4 us.
Where do I get the original skull? Dollar store???
Hello, I use several different model skulls. The main 1 I use is a bucky skull, they are harder thicker plastic. They can be found on e bay or amazon. Between $20-25. I also use resin and ceramic skulls.
Back in the day when I did Halloween displays I bought my skulls, skeletons and bones at Boneyard Bargains. They sell the 2nd's from their sister company that makes medical skeletons for doctors.
The skull you use to model around, is it just plastic also?
Hello, I use several different skulls. But the 1 I use the most is a bucky . It is a thicker , harder plastic. I also use ceramic and resin skulls as models.
Wow! This has me fascinated. Never considered using a milk jug like that. Brilliant! Thank you loads. I will watch the follow up tutorials now xx ❤
